Early next morning, Bai Feng and Jiang Xiaobai were the first to wake up, and they met by the seaside.
"I knew you'd be here."
Bai Feng walked towards where Jiang Xiaobai was sitting on a rock by the sea, watching the ebb and flow of the tide.
"Why are you here too?" Jiang Xiaobai turned his head and asked.
Bai Feng replied, "People with things on their mind like to watch the sea."
"Oh, how do you explain that?" Jiang Xiaobai asked.
Bai Feng said, "The vastness of the ocean can wash away the worries in one's heart. If people's hearts could be as broad as the ocean, perhaps there wouldn't be so much conflict in this world."
Bai Feng's insights were also Jiang Xiaobai's insights.
He stood up from the rock and said, "Old Bai, this place is nice, but we can't stay here forever. There are still unfinished business and unresolved wishes outside."
Bai Feng replied, "I know, this place is just a temporary resting spot for us."
