Outside the castle Gabrielle and Josephine continued to quietly follow Stentin.
They listened around them hearing only the sounds of leaves crunching underneath their feet, crickets chirping, and frogs creaking.
Stentin stood in front of a bridge, pointing to it.
"This way," He instructed.
Josephine and Gabrielle paused, glancing at each other. They held tightly on to each other's hand, they looked back over at Stentin, impatience eating his facial expression.
"Stop stalling and let's go," He fumed.
They took a deep breath, forcing themselves to step forward, each step feeling weighted, they followed Stentin onto the bridge.
They took in the scenery seeing the light from the moon beams and stars reflecting off of the chilled pond below, causing it to sparkle.
The gentle cooling breeze danced on their skin giving Gabrielle goosebumps, she began to shiver.
Josephine let go of her hand, wrapping her arms around her, she grabbed her hand once more.
