Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Meetings and Fates

The first day at Beacon Hills High School began with a mix of emotions. For Elias, Talia's warnings echoed in his mind as he walked through the crowded hallway. Beside him, Cora kept a steady pace, her watchful eyes and calm presence a source of comfort in the chaos of voices and curious stares. The school was a world entirely different from the one they were used to, a blend of promises and potential threats that didn't take long to make themselves known.

Elias tried to keep a low profile, knowing that anything unusual could put him—and his lineage—at risk. The sense of being observed followed him, as if his supernatural nature shone through the ordinary appearance he attempted to project. Deep inside, a part of him—the white wolf—struggled to break free, but he held it back, following Talia's teaching: "Learn to live among them before they know what you are."

As he and Cora made their way to their first class, he noticed a tall boy with dark hair. He had a calm energy and a thoughtful look, as if he observed the world from a safe distance. Elias instantly recognized him: Scott McCall, the character he remembered from his past life. But this Scott had not yet transformed; he knew nothing of what destiny had in store for him in Beacon Hills. The possibility of meeting characters from his past life excited him, but it also made him acutely aware of the consequences of his actions. He knew he had to wait for events to unfold naturally.

They entered the classroom and, as they took their seats, Cora whispered to him, "This is more boring than I thought it would be." Elias smirked, sharing her discomfort. The first class passed without major incidents, but as time went by, he began to observe the other students, wondering if any of them also harbored secrets. Despite his restless mind, he tried to focus on the teacher's words—a small attempt to live a normal life, though he knew it couldn't last for long.

During lunch, Elias and Cora sat together at a table outside. Their conversation was light until they both felt an unusual presence nearby. A group of students approached, one of them with a curious look and a smile that suggested he was always on the verge of cracking a joke. He walked casually and seemed unaware of the tension Elias was trying to hide.

"Hi! I'm Stiles—Stiles Stilinski," the boy introduced himself with a peculiar energy. "And you're... new, right? I mean, you look new, if that makes any sense."

Elias chuckled at the comment, grateful for the lighthearted energy.

"Yeah, I'm new. Elias. And this is Cora."

Stiles nodded, throwing a quick glance at Cora, who simply raised an eyebrow and continued eating. Scott, the boy Elias had seen earlier, joined the conversation, greeting him with a shy smile.

"Nice to meet you, Elias. It's rare to see new faces around here. Beacon Hills isn't exactly... a tourist spot."

Elias smiled again, feeling an immediate connection with Scott, although he was careful not to be too direct. He was aware that any gesture or word could alter the course of things, but something about Scott reminded him of the kindness and empathy that had always defined him in the story he knew.

As the day went on, more encounters and conversations followed. Elias noted that the school had a latent energy, as if something inside it knew dark times were approaching. But he was prepared, at least as much as Talia had trained him to be. Still, the arrival of night always brought with it a sense of alertness. He knew that, eventually, his true lineage would begin to manifest.

At dusk, when everyone in the Hale house was in their rooms, Elias felt a calling, a whisper in the night that urged him to go outside. Quietly, he left the house and made his way to the clearing in the woods. The moon shone in its full glory, as if it had been waiting for him. Standing in the center of the clearing, he let the cool air fill his lungs and closed his eyes, feeling his primal nature awaken.

Elias knew he had two forms: the common one, which he could manifest without drawing too much attention, and the form of the white wolf, which he still hadn't fully mastered. At that moment, he felt a surge to let himself go, to release all his power. The full moon seemed to call him, and for a moment, the image of a majestic white wolf formed in his mind.

He transformed, feeling his muscles stretch and change, his senses intensify. But just before he lost control, he remembered Talia's teachings. Self-control was his priority. Slowly, he pulled back, allowing his common form to prevail, avoiding the complete transformation. A sigh of relief escaped his lips as his body returned to its human state. He knew that control would be essential to keep his secret in school and to protect those he loved.

Back at the house, Elias sensed something shifting. When he entered, he found Talia waiting for him in the living room, her gaze a mix of concern and wisdom.

"Were you in the clearing?" Talia asked, though she already knew the answer.

Elias nodded, feeling a weight of guilt. "I couldn't help it, Talia. It's like something was calling me. The moon… I feel it connects me to something greater than myself."

Talia observed him in silence before speaking. "You're special, Elias. More than even you understand. But you have to remember that every power carries responsibility. The fact that you can transform into a white wolf is unique. A true alpha… only those who are able to control their instinct can reach that level."

"I know, but…" Elias lowered his gaze. "Sometimes I feel like I'm meant for something more, like I can't just stay hidden in the shadows."

Talia stepped closer, placing a hand on his shoulder. "And that time will come. But you must wait. When you're able to control both forms, then you'll know you're ready. Until then, be careful and stay close to those you trust."

Their conversation echoed within Elias as he climbed the stairs to his room. Talia's words provided comfort, but they also reminded him of the responsibility he carried. There was still much to learn, and the school, with all its mysteries and people, offered him the chance to experience the world and discover his own destiny.

That night, as he lay in bed, his thoughts drifted to Scott and the others. The feeling that destiny had brought him to Beacon Hills for something bigger was undeniable. And though he knew his life would be complex and full of challenges, he promised himself he would protect those he loved and uncover the true purpose of his existence.
