It did not take long for the Baki anime adaptation to be completed. Ron opened the player and watched.
"Not bad. The composition is fine, the character art is fine, the clarity is fine… The overall flow is good. It's not an outstanding anime, but for this world, the quality is already more than enough."
He made his decision. "Enable the function for turning successful manga into anime adaptations, allowing any series with good results to apply."
When Yoshihiro Togashi announced this feature, both readers and authors who had been following the news became excited. Readers looked forward to seeing their favorite works adapted into anime, and authors—aside from earning more royalties—felt a great sense of recognition.
A cheer rang out from upstairs.
"Great!"
Because Ron had not fully closed the window, the sound carried down. His brow lifted slightly. "Could it be… just by coincidence, there's a Yoshihiro Togashi reader or author upstairs?"

Day passed quickly, and evening came. Once night had fallen, Ron and the others headed out. The strategy was the same as before. Tonight, Ron's target was the Witch of Sound—an entity capable of attacking through sound.
When gathering intelligence with Chii, Ron had chosen two intelligent Spirits as his targets. The first was the Terror Lord, chosen because Ron believed he had an advantage against it. By testing himself against it, he could better gauge the exact nature of the Spirits. The second, the Witch of Sound, was selected because her abilities resembled the power of the Dark Sonata. Ron intended to use the battle with her as a rehearsal for future research into the Dark Sonata.
"Captain, found her!"
Before long, Ponzu's message came through. Ron nodded, his figure flashing as he appeared at her location—the place where the Witch of Sound was.
A large number of ordinary people had been put under control. One by one, their eyes glowed red, just like those Ron had seen on the first night of the Spirit outbreak in this city.
A strange sound entered his mind, and Ron quickly scanned the area. An elderly figure came into view—a woman wrapped entirely in a black robe, hood pulled low over her head, only her eyes visible through a mask. Her gaze was dull and yellowed.
"Lampent! Oil Mist!"
In an instant, a dense fog covered the area where she stood. At the same time—
"Corrosion Nen Bullet!"
The Nen bullet burst apart, releasing a large volume of corrosive gas. It mixed with Lampent's Turbid Mist, and then Ron followed with another Nen bullet.
"Lightning Nen Bullet!"
A powerful current surged into the mist. In an instant, it was like storm clouds gathering, lightning snakes darting within. The ordinary people under the old woman's influence were left to Nina and the others to handle.
Then—
Thud!
The ground shook violently. A massive figure emerged from beyond the range of the mist. Natsu and Uchiha Sasuke were both forced back.
Ron's pupils contracted. "This is…?"
The aura was familiar—it was the same as the old woman's. But now, she was no longer human. She had become a monster. Towering tens of meters high like a skyscraper, her lower body was hidden within the Oil Mist. Her two eyes, like bronze bells, locked onto Ron. Wrinkled skin covered her massive frame, and strange sounds rumbled from her mouthparts.
Nearby civilians were drawn to the sight.
"What is that?"
"A monster!"
"So terrifying!"
"How could something like that appear?"
"Priest, save us!"
Even though they knew Spirits existed, seeing such a monster still shocked them. They could only pin their hopes on the priest defeating it. Some closed their eyes, unable to watch, and began silently reciting sacred texts.
Ron's thoughts shifted. "Fire Release Nen Bullet!"
A massive burst of flame shot toward the monster, but the impact barely affected it. Ron tried several more attacks, but it was clear—the creature had no particular elemental weakness.
"Attribute attacks won't work. Killer Queen's and Akame's abilities also can't land a decisive blow. The only option is to fight it head-on. In that case, let's try this."
His strongest head-on weapon was not Natsu, not Uchiha Sasuke, and not even himself—it was the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card, imbued with Greed Island's properties. It could only be used once per month, and the month was up.
The card required an enormous amount of aura to activate, and even more to maintain, but precisely because the conditions were so demanding, its power was unmatched.
"Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
A card appeared in Ron's hand, and a torrent of aura poured into it. A tremendous pressure burst from the card, and the monster's eyes narrowed in wariness. It began moving toward Ron to attack, but there was enough distance between them—and its speed was not great. By the time it neared him, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon was ready.
Roar!
A deep, resonant bellow shook the air. An intense light erupted from the card, and a massive dragon emerged. Its body was silver-white, head huge and fierce, with two vast wings that, with a single beat, generated violent wind pressure that compressed the very air. Four sharp claws radiated strength, and its long, thick tail looked powerful enough to tear through space itself.
From the moment it appeared, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon locked eyes on the monster.
