The reason the gray staircase didn't appear immediately is probably because I was standing in a place that overlapped with it, preventing its manifestation. It might have been a similar situation when I tried to leave the fifteenth basement level a long time ago. It seems I was overly tense and forgot the lessons from last time.
I wasn't in a hurry to ascend the gray staircase; instead, I first examined my state from abstract levels like destiny and causality to see if the power of the Unfortunate people was still on me. The "Doomsday Era" does not have a Lost Great Impermanence phenomenon, but the real world won't be the same. If I rashly return to the real world without the power of the Unfortunate people, I might suddenly become a Lost Great Impermanence. Being careless about such matters would truly leave nowhere to appeal.
