Almost without a moment's hesitation, the void split open, and the Black Thin Stick silently fell three times, killing three out of the four people.
The last remaining one, the Rogue Immortal of Hidden Sorrow, had already fled a thousand miles away.
"I need him alive," Xie Tian said softly.
Half-Life in the void hesitated for just a breath, then disappeared.
Twelve breaths later, the fleeing Rogue Immortal fell from the void, landing in front of Xie Tian.
"Can I leave now?"
From his first appearance to the live capture of the last person, Half-Life spoke for the first time.
His voice was very hoarse, like the clashing of metal, yet Xie Tian could detect a hint of trembling in it.
This wasn't surprising.
Anybody would tremble with an emperor's weapon, equivalent to a Daoist artifact, hanging over their heads.
"What do you think?"
In response to Xie Tian's rhetorical question, a helpless sigh was faintly heard.
The sigh came from Half-Life.
