"Then what do you suggest we do?" said one of the guards who followed the team with a frown on his face. "With Master Song refusing to help us, you are not expecting him to suddenly change his mind, are you? Because I am telling you that it is impossible. Since he refused to accept our request the first time, there is no way he is going to accept it the second time. So we might as well go back home."
This guard saw things much more clearly than his boss. He knew that there was something amiss with Master Song, and his attitude toward them was much cooler than it was before. Trying to provoke him at the moment would only cause trouble for them. It would be better if they just left and thought of another plan before coming back. What was the point of staying here when the man didn't even wish to talk with them? Were they going to continue being a bother, especially when they were not even welcomed?
