Chapter 317 - A Small Lesson

"Sirus, have you ever played baseball before?"

"No."

"That's okay. You're in good shape, so just follow the steps I explained earlier."

"Grip the bat properly and stand here. Yes, just like that."

Following the PE teacher's instructions, Yuujin held the bat and positioned himself.

Though he had never played baseball before, he figured it wouldn't be difficult for him to pick up.

For this practice session, Yuujin was the batter for the offensive team, while Sharpner, Videl's tablemate, was the pitcher for the defensive team.

Sharpner was a handsome blonde teenager from a wealthy family, quite popular in class.

Seeing Yuujin as his opponent, Sharpner sneered.

"Hmph, so this guy is my opponent?"

Although they didn't interact much in class, Sharpner had always been annoyed by Yuujin.

Handsome like him—Sharpner felt like Yuujin was his rival in every way.

But what really irritated him was that while the rest of the class ostracized Videl, Yuujin constantly stayed close to her. Sharpner had feelings for Videl...

"Perfect, I'll scare him and embarrass him in front of everyone!"

A smirk appeared on Sharpner's face as he made up his mind.

"Begin!"

With both teams ready, the PE teacher announced the start of the game.

Sharpner struck a perfect pitching stance, eliciting cheers from a group of infatuated girls, and then threw the ball handsomely.

But his pitch wasn't aimed at the catcher—it was flying straight for Yuujin's head!

Sharpner smirked, already picturing Yuujin flinching and humiliating himself.

However, the scene he envisioned never happened. Yuujin casually tilted his head and effortlessly dodged the incoming baseball.

"What?!"

"Sharpner! Be serious when pitching! Do you have any idea how dangerous that was?!"

The PE teacher yelled furiously, his heart still pounding. If Yuujin hadn't dodged, the consequences could've been disastrous.

"Y-Yes, sir!"

Sharpner snapped out of it, a cold sweat forming on his back. He had only meant to scare Yuujin, not fully considering the potential consequences. Now, the realization hit him hard.

"That was close…"

"Sharpner, you idiot! Watch where you're throwing!"

Elisa patted her chest in relief as both she and Videl exhaled deeply. They had been genuinely frightened.

"Kakarot, Broly, why do you two look so unconcerned?"

Seeing Gokumi and Broly completely unfazed, Elisa and Videl were bewildered.

"Why should we be worried?"

Tilting her head, Gokumi looked confused.

Elisa and Videl twitched at the corners of their mouths.

Sirus had almost been hit in the head, and yet they were acting so indifferent!

"Sharpner, let's restart. Try not to throw at my head this time."

Ignoring Gokumi and Elisa's reactions, Yuujin looked at Sharpner with an amused expression.

"Hmph, th-that was just an accident!"

Sharpner forced himself to remain calm as he prepared to pitch again.

This time, he was much more cautious, no longer daring to play any tricks.

To Yuujin, Sharpner was just an impulsive teenager. He wasn't truly angry about what happened earlier, but he figured he should teach Sharpner a lesson to prevent him from making more reckless decisions in the future.

And so, a few minutes later—

"N-No way!"

Collapsed on the ground, Sharpner looked devastated.

The practice session had ended, and his team had been utterly crushed with zero points.

Shrugging, Yuujin returned the bat to the teacher and walked off the field.

"Sirus, I didn't know you were this good!"

"That arrogant Sharpner got completely wrecked. Let's see how smug he is now!"

Elisa cheered excitedly.

Though Sharpner wasn't particularly good academically, he was talented in sports and often boasted about it—especially while making fun of Videl. Elisa had disliked him for a long time.

Watching him get humiliated by Yuujin felt incredibly satisfying.

Yuujin himself, however, wasn't too impressed. He and Sharpner weren't even on the same level, so crushing him didn't give him any sense of achievement.

If not for wanting to teach Sharpner a little lesson, Yuujin had originally planned to let him score a few points.

"Videl, is there something on my face?"

Noticing Videl staring at him, Yuujin chuckled.

Taking a deep breath, Videl's expression turned serious.

While others only saw Yuujin effortlessly hitting every pitch, as a martial artist, Videl noticed much more.

Yuujin never even looked at Sharpner's throws—he was hitting the ball purely by instinct!

His reaction speed and control were terrifying. Videl didn't know if other high-level martial artists could do the same, but she certainly couldn't!

Just as she was about to say something—

"Kakarot! Kakarot, it's your turn!"

"Oh! My turn!"

Hearing the teacher call her name, Gokumi's face lit up with excitement.

"Be careful. Don't use too much strength, and don't throw the ball at anyone."

"Got it!"

Yuujin reminded Gokumi, who happily skipped onto the field.

Seeing everyone's attention shift to Gokumi's practice, Videl sighed.

Fine. She'd ask Sirus about it after watching Kakarot's match.

"Come on, Kakarot!"

Gokumi's opponent was a tall, confident male student gripping his bat firmly.

"Okay, here I go!"

Mimicking the stance she had seen earlier, Gokumi threw the baseball.

A split second later—

A streak of light shot across the sky.

Then—BOOM!

A loud explosion echoed from the other side of the field. A storage shed had just been blown to bits!

"Aaaahhhhhh!"

The teacher and students sat frozen in shock.

Oh. My. God.

That was a baseball, not a bomb… right?!

Gokumi blinked at the destruction, looking dumbfounded.

"Ha… haha…"

"Heh… controlling Super Saiyan 3 strength is still tricky… I might've used too much force."
