Chapter 163 - CA [163]: Reformation

Running a nation as a high school girl, in plain terms, is a search for guidance.

Seitenshi clearly lacked the ability to govern effectively, so she needed someone to guide her, much like a certain legendary gamer who needed the right team to win a championship.

Kikunojō Tendō was not that guide, as he had his own agenda. So, Altair stepped in to fill the role!

"First, you need to clarify your ultimate goal!"

"My ultimate goal?"

"Yes, your ultimate goal. Do you merely want the Cursed Children to live a slightly better life, treated like ordinary people? Or do you want to make this world normal again, a better place?"

As her guide, Altair needed to instill a clear objective in Seitenshi.

Simply rescuing the Cursed Children was too easy for Altair, but he couldn't guarantee every Cursed Child would accept his help. Thus, he needed this world to become stable and peaceful.

"If you only want the children to have a better life, I can handle that alone without your involvement. But that's a short-term fix. Once I leave, those children will face abuse again. If you want to make this world truly normal and better, their lives will improve naturally, but that requires you to take action."

"Mr. Altair, can you do it? Make this world a better place?"

"Of course, but it requires your cooperation, especially in dealing with certain obstacles. You must align with me."

"If that's the case, I want to make the world better, so no one has to live like this anymore."

Seitenshi gave the answer Altair expected.

"Excellent. Then the first step to making this world better is to start with the Holy Residence."

Altair pointed at the ground beneath them.

"What should I do? Punish Captain Yasuwaki?"

"No, no, not just punish him. We're going to replace the entire guard."

Altair walked to the balcony and pointed at a black building in the distance.

"As both the Seitenshi and a high school girl, inviting another high school girl like Miori Shiba shouldn't be an issue, right?"

"Miori Shiba… the heiress of the Shiba family?"

Seitenshi knew Miori Shiba well. She was a classmate, even the student council president at their school, and the daughter of the world's largest weapons manufacturer.

The heiress of Shiba Heavy Industries, despite her curled hair, always wore a kimono, blending traditional and modern styles, and carried an iron fan.

"Invite her to the Holy Residence for tea, as a classmates' afternoon tea."

"Now?"

"Yes, now."

"I understand."

Though a figurehead, Seitenshi still held some authority. She didn't have Miori Shiba's phone number, but she could instruct her guards to contact Shiba Heavy Industries and relay the invitation to their heiress.

Because of Altair's earlier words, Seitenshi had resolved to deal with Takuto Yasuwaki, the depraved murderer. She issued the order immediately, and the message was sent out.

Naturally, this message also reached Kikunojō Tendō. Entry into the personal guard required his approval, meaning they were all his people, monitoring Seitenshi's every move.

He found her actions puzzling. Why was Seitenshi suddenly inviting Miori Shiba? The heiress of the world's largest weapons manufacturer, despite being a high school girl, had already taken over much of Shiba Heavy Industries' operations, a highly astute young woman.

Still, he didn't intervene and allowed the invitation. The message soon reached Shiba Heavy Industries.

At their Tokyo headquarters, Miori Shiba tilted her head upon receiving the news. What? The figurehead head of state was inviting her for tea? Had she heard correctly?

After confirming she hadn't misheard, Miori Shiba, accompanied by her security team, drove to the Holy Residence.

Curious and confused, Miori Shiba entered Seitenshi's room.

Upon entering, she saw Seitenshi in a blue dress, calmly seated on a sofa. The puzzled Miori spoke first.

"Your Excellency Seitenshi, I'm here."

"Classmate Shiba, you came! Please, come sit."

Seeing Miori Shiba, Seitenshi stood, smiling and inviting her to sit.

"Delighted to."

While Seitenshi hosted Miori Shiba for afternoon tea, Altair wasn't idle. After instructing Seitenshi to entertain Miori, he activated his passive ability and began exploring the Holy Residence. He first visited the guards' quarters, located in a building next to the residence. Though less grand than the Holy Residence, it was still lavishly decorated. Altair easily entered their rooms and began gathering evidence.

Takuto Yasuwaki was a depraved man, and quite brazen. Such a twisted individual, when abusing others, would likely have a habit of recording it, perhaps to savor later.

As expected, Altair easily found video files on Yasuwaki's computer showing him shooting Cursed Children. These files were enough to condemn him.

Taking the laptop, Altair continued searching for more evidence. Every guard was suspect. While some might not have personally killed Cursed Children, all had participated in some way, none were innocent.

Besides Yasuwaki, Altair found evidence against two others who had taken part in killing Cursed Children. The rest, perhaps less depraved, hadn't kept such evidence. But Altair wasn't concerned. In a place like the Holy Residence guard, every member was there through connections; no ordinary person could join. Killing them would hardly be a mistake.

After gathering sufficient evidence, Altair went to the Holy Residence's main gate.

In front of the Holy Residence guards and the Shiba family's security team, Altair deliberately made himself visible again.

He drew his Ship-Slaying Blade and, with one swing, cleaved the Holy Residence's gate in two. Under everyone's gaze, he extended his right hand, pointing his index finger at the crowd.

"Now, let's tally your sins!"
