Brad was the top dog in Millard Fillmore Middle School and he felt infinitely more like that thanks to his dad who is also a cop. But then something changed. The hip hop loser of the school Jake Long suddenly wasn't a loser anymore. His dad suddenly became rich like filthy rich.
What's worse Jake's dad didn't even flaunt his wealth unlike his dad who abused his power at every chance he got. His quiet confidence was enough to command the very space around his vicinity. He drove a muscle car and dropped off Jake at school sometimes and gave Jake either a fist bump or a hug accompanied with a cheesy nickname like Jakearoo or Jakearooni which Jake honestly didn't mind.
Jake's dad kept growing his business empire which has basically taken over every aspect of the world. Infinitum now controls the world and no one cares as they are doing a pretty good job at it. Now Jake and his posse are in his room with an offer. " So let me get this straight, you want me to join you and your group for a rigorous training regimen that will most certainly break my mind, body and spirit." Says Brad. " Why should I join you?" Asks Brad.
" I don't have a reason and honestly I don't expect you to join. So, thanks for your time Brad." Says Jake while getting up. Brad was surprised because he was hoping for at least a little begging but it seems like he has become irrelevant. He let out a defeated sigh and said, " Wait, I accept but I want that video deleted." They just looked at each other and all said in unison, " Deal." Jake extends his hand for a handshake which Brad accepts and shakes. " Meet you at the venue." Says Jake while leaving through the door along with his group.
" Let me convince Daisy." Suddenly says Rose. " You sure Rose?" Asks Jake with concern in his voice. Rose nods and says, " Can't keep her in the dark anymore now can I?" Jake just gives an understanding nod and keeps going towards Rose's apartment.
Daisy POV:
" So, let me get this straight. Your family received some form of murder bots that can phase in and out of reality, can convert energy into matter, multiply exponentially as little bodyguards." Asks Infinity. " Look, even I'm shaken okay. Jonathan Long showed mine and his family the full extent of his military industrial might and his personal flagship called I.C.N.S Antares a 40 KM long behemoth made to annihilate anything and everything in it's path. In simpler words we're toast if they get a whiff of us." Answers Daisy.
" Silly of you to assume Mr. Long doesn't know about your secret society sis." Says someone which turns out to be Rose. Daisy quickly hides her wristband which was still glowing with the faces of her compatriots on the display. Daisy gives a sheepish laugh and says," Oh, they're just friends from Hong Kong and we were just chatting."
Rose let's out a sigh and says, " Listen Daisy, I know about everything about the council of numbers, why you joined and why you believe in their cause." Daisy takes a deep breath, turns her communicator off and says, " So, what now? Do I die?" Rose goes towards her sister, hugs her while shedding tears and says, "Never."
Daisy hugs Rose back and then Rose explained what I am, what I used to be and what I've become and my condition for Jake's training. " Fine, I'll join you guys in Mr. Long's sadistic training regimen." Answers Daisy with a huff. " But it must be overwhelming to be CIRCUMDANS OMINA as he feels and sees everything down to the most smallest level.
But I guess such is the price of unfathomable power." Says Daisy with dread in her voice. " We'll go and talk to Mr. Long tomorrow." Says Rose as we both leave the apartment as we want to move around a little with our friends.
