Chapter 7 - Making a Name

The next day was the start of something big for Lincoln Loud and his new role as Spider-Man. He was ready to prove that he was worthy of the power he received and would bring honor to Bill Buck's lost creation. After a nice hearty breakfast, the boy returned to his room to work on what he needed to do to bring the Spider-Man to life.

"So after turning 13, I was all set on living my teenage years to the fullest; watching PG-13 movies, going through serious relationships, worrying about acne and BO, all that junk," Lincoln self-narrated. "But all that changed after getting bit by some unusual spider on a school field trip that granted me special powers; and now I'm living a double life as Royal Woods's very first super powered crime fighter."

Lincoln prepared by taking note of the sketches that Bill left for him, and all the abilities of Spider-Man, one of them being his organic webbing. Since he couldn't make his own naturally, he'd have to use a substitute.

So the first thing was to create the web shooters, using some materials that Lucy uses for her spider-web decorations in addition to some material from Lisa to make the webbing as sticky as possible. He checked online and looked up proper ways to make something resembling a spider's webbing, mostly using notes he made from his week working on his spider project. He used parts from old broken water guns to create what he needed to fire the webs.

He started by looking over the concept art that Bill left him, a hero in red and black with a ton of webbing. "Not bad, but I don't think the black totally suits me. It needs something brighter, something approachable, but what?" He looked aside and spotted his Ace Savvy comic, noting the color of the hero's cape. "Blue! Of course, this design could use some of Ace's signature red and blue!"

Lincoln was set to design the costume but ran into a small problem, he hasn't enough materials to make one from scratch, not yet at least. He could probably borrow some from Leni, but in the meantime, he made do with what he had.

He took his Ace Savvy cosplay suit and used some sewing to replace the Ace Savvy Insignia with the Spider-Man insignia, strapped into the suit, used a Lucha Libre mask that he painted red to better hide his face and stepped out into the public, ready to fulfil his duty as the town's superhero.

"I hope this works, despite those thugs the other day, Royal Woods is usually a quiet town, I don't know if-" Suddenly he heard some police sirens and looked down to see a car driving away from a cop car, and some gun fire coming from the back. "Is that a getaway car!? Those must be bank robbers! Sweet! An actual crime to stop!" Lincoln took a moment to register that. "Uh, probably shouldn't be happy that someone's breaking the law, but hey it's an opportunity for me."

The car continued driving away, trying to escape from the police, the driver of the cop car radioing for help, "I'm gonna need back up!"

One crook grabbed a handgun and shot the tires of the pursing car, causing it to crash against a pole. The officer was unharmed but his car in no condition to keep driving.

"That'll show him," the crook said. Suddenly some webbing hit the car as it was flung into a giant spider web that was created between two streetlights. "What the hell!?"

The crooks quickly jumped out the car, each one with their gun out, "Let's find another car!"

Nearby, Becky was seen driving along with her friends Dana, Joey and Chaz, each of them itching to hit the mall.

"So, what does everyone want for lunch later?" Becky asked.

"I think the mall opened up a taco shop, I heard it's really good," Dana said.

"I'm down with that," Chaz said.

"Me too," Joey agreed.

"Sweet, and hey I think Lori's still in town," Becky said. "Maybe we should call-"

"Out of the car!" The crooks said, aiming their gun at the teens, each of them freaking. However more webbing came, taking the guns away. "How does this keep happening!?"

In a flash, Lincoln rushed in with a punch to one crook, knocking him out. The other tried for a punch of his own, but Lincoln was able to duck and got a jumping kick to the second crook's face, knocking him out as well.

"Holy smokes!" Becky shouted in disbelief, her eyes widening in shock upon seeing the young superhero.

"Everyone ok in there?" Lincoln asked, getting their attention.

"Uh...yeah, we're fine," Becky said, her friends agreeing. "But who are you?"

"Oh me?" Lincoln asked. "Just your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man."

"Uh, Spider-Man?" Dana asked. "Who are you really? And where did you come from?"

"Uh, sorry, gotta go," Lincoln said, thwipping away.

"Hey wait up! Do you know The Avengers!?" Becky called. "Dang it, he's gone."

"Also, Dana, did you seriously ask who he was?" Chaz pointed out. "Don't you know the first rule abut Superheroes?"

"The first rule?" Dana asked.

"Secret Identity," Joey said. "Like Ace Savvy!"

"Ace Savvy's a comic book though, this is real," Dana said. "None of The Avengers have secret identities, everyone knows Tony Stark is Iron Man."

"Well, if that is a real superhero, I hope he's more classic," Chaz said.

Lincoln landed on a nearby roof, seemingly satisfied with what he's done, "That went well. The crooks were caught, no one's hurt, I call this a success. Time to keep up the good work!"

For the next week, Lincoln would patrol around town in his Spider-Man gear, keeping an eye out for danger. On the off chance there was indeed a robbery, he would be there to swoop in and stop the thugs.

Then some thugs tried mugging a random family, Lincoln swooped in, using his webs to latch onto a couple to bind and knocked out the rest. When someone tried running out of a convenience store with a sum of cash they swiped from the register, Lincoln was there to latch on and pull the crook into a spider web. Even when a crook tried driving away in a getaway car, Lincoln was in the middle of the road, stopping the car by grabbing it, holding it in the air and shaking out the crook, along with the money stolen.

He noticed someone seemingly trying to break into a house, the boy landing behind the person, "Something tells me you're not making a house call." He grabbed him with the web and fling him against some trash.

"Hey come on man! That's my house! I just locked myself out!"

"Yeah kid, what's wrong with you!" a woman called.

"Oh, sorry, it was an accident!" Lincoln said.

"Don't you know better than to make assumptions!"

"Hey quiet! I'm trying to read here!"

"Don't you order me around!"

"What's with all the dang shouting!?"

"My kid is trying to nap!"

"Don't make me come down there, you punks!"

Lincoln panicked and quickly swung away from the conversation, "Not one of my finer moments. Alright, learning experience, I guess."

In addition, Lincoln did general good deeds, such as bringing a cat down from a tree, albeit with difficulty since the cat tried scratching him. He helped some ladies across the street, which they rewarded him by buying the boy a churro, which he appreciated. He also tried stopping a thug from stealing a car, though accidentally damaged the car in the process, upsetting the owner. Another not so great moment for him.

Lincoln continued swinging through Royal Woods, landing on the roof overlooking the entire city, feeling quite proud of all he's done this past week, "Lincoln Loud, you have truly turned Spider-Man into a real-life hero."

Later that day in the Loud House.

"Spider-Man is a menace!" Came the voice of J Jonah Jameson on TV. "That little punk's been swinging around the town of Royal Woods and causing trouble!"

"Seriously!?" An annoyed Lincoln shouted.

"Mr. Jameson, with all due respect, what makes you consider Spider-Man a menace?" Came the voice of Katherine Mulligan. "He had stopped many crimes this past week and has been quite helpful to the citizens."

"Funny how Royal Woods has been having so many problems lately, wasn't this once a more peaceful town?" Jameson asked. "If you ask me, this is all one big scam! A ploy to make this so-called hero seem better than he actually is!"

"That's a strong statement from you sir, but it doesn't seem like many folks agree with it," Katherine said. "Aside from one or two concerned citizens, it seems like this Spider-Man is very popular among the town."

"They'll figure it out eventually, right now they're in awe of seeing an actual superhero like The Avengers, but once that fascination wears out, then the rose-colored glasses come off and people will see this punk for who he truly is!" Jameson said.

"Well thank you for your input sir, as always it's a pleasure to have you on," Katherine said, albeit halfheartedly.

"I live to spread the truth, and if you wish to learn more, then check out my podcast, Just the Facts, this is J Jonah Jameson signing off."

As he left the screen, Katherine took one more time to speak, "Spider-Man truly is a mystery to this town, I do not know his intentions myself, but I do hope they are pure. Does Royal Woods have its own superhero? Or are we setting ourselves up for disappointment? This is Katherine Mulligan, signing off."

Lincoln groaned in annoyance, he turned the TV on expecting people to praise his hero work, instead he gets slandered on live TV. While it's not the first time he or his family have caught the negative attention from the public, considering that he's been off fighting crime, he figured Spider-Man would be loved, and while she showed some support, he really hoped Katherine could be a bit more vocal about it.

"Maybe I should call Katherine later, see if I can get her to spread more positivity," Lincoln theorized. He did have access to her information nowadays given her involvement with his Action Six News Team. "But what if she gets suspicious? She is a reporter after all, she probably has an eye for the truth beneath deception."

"Hey bro," Luna said, the girl appearing beside her girlfriend Sam. "Watching TV?"

"Yeah, I wanted to see if there was anything on that hero, Spider-Man," Lincoln said.

"I heard a lot about him, I've even seen him swinging across town at least once, it was so cool," Sam said. "Wonder what he's like? I hear he's really friendly."

"I'd like to see the dude myself, I still never personally thanked him for saving my sisters," Luna said.

"Oh right, he was the hero at the warehouse too," Sam said. "He was dressed up like Ace Savvy or something. Now he's a spider."

"How'd he go from card puns to being a bug though?" Luna asked.

"Actually spiders are arachnids, completely different than bugs," Lincoln explained, getting a look of confusion from Luna and Sam. "Uh, sorry, I did a science project on them recently."

"Almost went Lisa on us for a minute there, bro," Luna teased. "Anyway, regardless of what name he chose, he's still a hero, and I respect him."

"Yeah, me too," Sam said. "Mazzy likes him too for sure."

"The girl loves her spiders," Luna said. "Anyway we should be getting upstairs, we have a lot to plan for our next show. Luan's on a date with Benny, so the room should be free for just the two of us."

"Make sure you keep the door open," Lincoln pointed out, much to Luna's annoyance.

"Gee, thanks bro," Luna sarcastically stated, leading her girlfriend upstairs.

"See you later Lincoln," Sam said, following Luna to her room.

"At least Luna, Sam and Mazzy like Spider-Man," Lincoln commented. "Wonder if Sully does too? Well he seems like a man of good tastes, so I think I'm safe regarding him."

"Hey Linky!" Came the voice of Lola, getting her brother's attention.

"Oh, hi Lola, did you want the TV?" Lincoln asked.

"No, but I do want you," Lola said, climbing onto the couch to hug her brother. "You haven't given me enough attention today, you were barely home, and I started to miss you."

"Sorry Lola, I got a little busy," Lincoln said, stroking her hair. "I'm here now though, want me to put on Blarney?"

"I'm too old for that silly show, why don't we put on something you'd like?" Lola asked. "Like that pirate show."

"Pirate show?" Lincoln asked.

"You know, the one where they say 'Argh'?" Lola said.

It took Lincoln a second to realize what she meant, "Oh, you mean ARGGH? That's a show about ghosts, not pirates."

"Oops, silly me, I forget you like that spooky stuff too, just like Lucy," Lola said.

"It's more action than spooky," Lincoln said. "Anyway, I don't think it's on, but maybe they're showing Starship Groupers, or Ace Savvy. Or maybe Dreamboat's on, I missed the last episode, I'd like to find the repeat."

"You didn't miss anything good, the episode was kind of lame," Lola said. "I'm still cringing from that girl's choice, like, does she even know a good guy when she sees one? A lot of the girls are so superficial, it's a real shame."

"Yeah, I guess some are," Lincoln said.

"So...what about you? Any luck with girls recently?" Lola asked.

Lincoln shook his head, "No, I mean Clyde tried setting me up with a girl but-"

"Clyde?" Lola asked, almost in disbelief. "Lincoln, I think you can do better than listening to Clyde about girls. I mean no offense but he's not exactly a genius when it comes to girls, guy himself can barely get a date."

"Gee, what were you saying about superficial?" Lincoln mentally scolded. "Clyde can get a date, he's been hanging out with a girl named Chloe. In fact that's how Clyde tried setting me up with a girl, Chloe's friend Emma."

"Isn't Clyde having relationship issues though" Lola asked. "I mean, when was the last time the two even had a proper date?"

"I mean, it has been some time but..." Lincoln's eyes widened. "Wait, how do you even know this stuff?"

"I'm very good at figuring out secrets," Lola said. "Plus I overheard you talking to Clyde once on the phone. This is why you stick to cellphones."

"Lola! Were you eavesdropping!?" Lincoln asked.

"Oh yeah, not by choice though, I was gonna use the phone but then I heard you two talking and I just couldn't hang up," Lola said.

"Why didn't you use your cellphone?" Lincoln asked.

"Why didn't you?" Lola asked back.

"It wasn't working and Lisa was fixing it," Lincoln said. "Also don't turn this back around at me!"

"Fine, I'm sorry Lincoln," Lola said, looking up at the boy with sparkling eyes. "You're not too mad at me, are you?"

Lincoln groaned in annoyance, his one weakness, his little sisters being adorable. Scratch that, any girl being adorable is a big weakness. "Just please try to respect my privacy."

"Yeah, I will. Believe it or not, Lori's been bugging us about not being too invasive, saying that you're a teenager going through hormones and you might be into certain things or whatever," Lola said.

"Wait, how many of my sisters think that way?" Lincoln shook off the mental worry. "Let's see if anything's on." Lincoln turned on the TV, channel flipping to find that an Ace Savvy movie was playing. "Huh, looks like this is on now."

"Oh is that the big Ace Savvy movie that was supposed to be a big deal?" Lola bitterly asked. "The one that cut our cameo?"

"It's an older one. The newer one got scrapped, remember?" Lincoln said. "People were so fascinated by real life heroes, that fictional heroes weren't as cool. Plus those protesters hated seeing a cat getting used as a villain. Then it got taken away."

"You still like Ace Savvy though, right?" Lola asked.

"Yeah, I mean I like the real heroes, but Ace felt just as real to me," Lincoln said. "He got me through a lot of tough times growing up, anytime I felt down I just read a comic and perk myself up again."

"Aw, you have no reason to feel down, no matter how often our sisters can be cruel to you," Lola said.

"Odd that she was quick to blame our sisters," Lincoln rubbed Lola's head. "It's not that, I mean I have a harder time dealing with people outside this family."

"Is it that Chandler kid? Is he giving you grief again!?" Lola asked, clenching her fist. "I know some people and I can have that little problem taken care of, if you'd like."

"...What people?" Lincoln asked, growing slightly concerned.

"Some girls at my pageant group, very good at slandering others, the only one we have trouble with is Lindsey Sweetwater," Lola said. "That skank really knows how to cover her tracks, almost as good as me. But that Chandler boy should be very easy to defame."

"That's nice of you, but I can handle Chandler, I don't want you getting wrapped up in my problems," Lincoln said.

"Linky, we're family, your problems are my problems, and I don't want anyone messing with my big brother," Lola said. "If it were me, I know you'd move Heaven and Earth to help me out. I still owe you a lot for teaching me how to read, that meant so much to me and I don't think I ever properly paid you back."

"You don't have to, we're family," Lincoln said.

"Well, at least you're good family," Lola said. "I guarantee none of our sisters would have helped me, they were more worried about some stupid contest too, I really hate how they got so mad at you just because we lost."

"Well they did work hard and they felt like their efforts were wasted, but they understood eventually, didn't they?" Lincoln asked.

"I guess," Lola said.

"And them getting mad at me didn't bother me either, not the first time I upset the family," Lincoln said.

"I know that feeling, I remember being singled out as a tattle tale," Lola said.

"Oh yeah, I'm really sorry about that, we could have handled a situation like that a lot better too," Lincoln said. "Looking back, it probably hurt your feelings, tattle tale or not, you were only six, you didn't know any better."

"It's fine, I did get a sick thrill out of getting one of you in trouble," Lola said. "Of course in this house, you have to assert yourself, or you get walked over. Not sure if you've noticed, but our sisters can be really mean for no reason."

"Again, irony that Lola's saying this. Wonder if there's a reason? She's not wrong, that's why Lucy was so afraid to admit her mistakes, speaking of which," Lincoln focused back on Lola. "That reminds me of the Princess Pony incident. Boy was that quite the week."

"Oh yeah, our sisters were terrible to you," Lola said. "Saying those mean things, especially Lynn. Of course she took it too far and got the rest of us in trouble too for saying such mean, nasty words."

"That wasn't pleasant," Lincoln said. "Do the sisters still think I'm weird for liking it?"

"I think only Lori, Lana and Lynn think that way, no one else seems to care," Lola said. "I don't think Lily knows yet since no one really mentions it in front of her, but I don't think she'd care."

"Well, it's better than last time," Lincoln said.

"The funny thing is, I don't think you care much for the Princess Pony franchise," Lola said, getting a confused look from Lincoln. "I've noticed your mannerisms. You are a big Ace Savvy fan, and you show it with your constant excitement for anything related to him. In fact you get excited for that Starship Groupers thing and David Steele too. Not once have I seen you look excited for anything Princess Pony related despite you being a so-called fan. Plus anytime something girly comes on TV, you tend to cringe. No pony toys, no posters, you never watch the show. Honestly, I think you were fibbing that day, which means you didn't clog the toilet, did you?"

"Well technically I did, I just didn't know the book..." Lincoln realized what he was saying. "I mean, what are you talking about? I love that Princess Pony stuff, it's...adorable."

"You're not fooling anyone Linky, it worked the first time but I'm good at figuring things out, you fibbed and took the fall for another one of our sisters, didn't you?" Lola asked. "It makes sense, you're the only one of us who would do something that selfless."

"Lola, I really think you're underestimating the kindness of our sisters," Lincoln said.

"Yeah, whatever, point is you didn't do it, someone put you up to it," Lola said. "You don't have to say who, I'll figure it out myself."

"Lola, even if this is true, does it matter?" Lincoln asked. "What's done is done, dad found out, I got grounded, the toilet got fixed, I endured the teasing, lets move on."

"You know, I don't get you sometimes, why put yourself through all this?" Lola asked. "As much of a bonehead Lynn is sometimes, she's right about one thing. You don't really show a lot of backbone."

"Lola, if I didn't have one, why would I put up with teasing for something I didn't do?" Lincoln asked, at this point dropping the act. "I handle things my way, I'm not confrontational. If I did fib, it's to protect a sister of mine from getting teased, because that sister might be really sensitive, and I would not want her enduring such harshness. You've taken the blame for something too when you didn't have to yourself."

"I did that to earn back trust, you sound like you did it for no reason," Lola said.

"There is a reason, to protect my sister," Lincoln said. "It's what Ace Savvy would do, or something like that."

"Wow, you really do admire Ace," Lola said, feeling a twinge of guilt. "One thing I remember, I'm the one who ratted you out to dad the first chance I got. No wonder you didn't trust me during that whole Tattle Tale Blackmail thing. Linky, I'm so sorry about that."

"I forgave you a long time ago, I love you too much to hold a grudge," Lincoln said.

Lola blushed upon hearing that from her brother, "Stop being so darn cute Linky, there's only so much of your kindness my heart can take."

"You're the one who's cute," Lincoln said, pulling Lola into a closer hug and planting some kisses on her cheek.

"Linky, this is so embarrassing," Lola said as Lincoln pulled back. "Hey, I didn't say to stop. I have another cheek."

"As you command princess," Lincoln said, planting kisses on the other cheek, much to the delight of the young girl. "Lola, I'm happy that you're being so open, but is there a reason? You're usually more reserved."

"I just had a lot to think about lately, especially after you fainting at the zoo," Lola said. "Lincoln, I don't tell you this enough, but I really love you a lot, and I'm afraid of losing you one day. You're the only sibling I can trust sometimes, you're less likely to judge me than our sisters. There are some things I can never tell them."

"Really now? I always figured you girls had a tight knit bond that even I couldn't understand," Lincoln said.

"For the most part there are things only girls can understand, but even I can't tell my sisters everything," Lola said. "It's easier to tell you because you're a boy, you have a different perspective and it helps. If I ask Lori how an outfit makes me look, she's brutally honest to the point where she can be a bit mean. If I ask Lana, she just says I look 'girly as normal'. If I ask you, at the very least you try not to hurt my feelings if it looks bad. Maybe it's more of a you thing than a boy thing, but you get what I mean. Having a male perspective is very beneficial for a girl at times. There are things girls worry about that guys don't, so having someone there to kind of put a damper on useless drama, while not always effective, can at least alleviate some worry."

"Never thought of it that way," Lincoln said.

"One reason we can't wait for you to have a girlfriend is because we know you're gonna be great," Lola said. "You understand girls really well, not perfect, but pretty well. Just stay away from that Girl Guru nonsense, that was actually really embarrassing."

"How do you think I felt?" Lincoln asked.

"Weren't you gonna bake pies that day or something? What happened?" Lola asked.

"You and the sisters ate all the chocolates," Lincoln pointed out.

"Oh...you know that would explain why there was a lot of chocolate lying around, we just saw it and couldn't help ourselves," Lola said. "Sorry about that."

"In the end I raised the money I needed to, so it worked for me," Lincoln said. "Plus it was quite the learning experience."

"Sure sounds like it," Lola said, then focused back on the TV. "I just remembered something, didn't the sisters do a cameo for this movie? Then they screwed us over in royalties?"

"Yeah, kind of disappointed, you girls could have been stars," Lincoln said.

"Well, the producers were total jerks to you, I can't work with people like that. Plus I saw the actor once and boy was he full of himself, he had the nerve to call me an extra. I mean, I had screentime, that the producers screwed up but still screen time. Also it sounded like the people writing the movies really didn't even care about making a good story, they just wanted to start some big Cinematic Universe or something" Lola said. "I'm glad the movie bombed. The Avengers saved us from two things that day. Aliens and this terrible movie."

"I hate when they make movies just for the sake of focusing on the future instead of what's happening in the moment," Lincoln said. "Almost as bad as forcing the audience to like characters that really aren't that great while making popular characters look like trash. Karma really got them in the end, no movie success, no Cinematic Universe, no star."

"Not like anything of value was lost," Lola said. "I just wish I could see the look on the faces of the jerks working on the movie. Plus The Avengers are so much cooler, you really were onto something with superheroes Linky."

"Yeah, there's a lot popping up all over, including Royal Woods," Lincoln said.

"You mean Spider-Man?" Lola asked.

"Yeah, what do you think, pretty cool right?" Lincoln asked.

"Eh, he looks like a dork," Lola said, deflating Lincoln's ego.

"A dork?" the boy remembered Lana saying something similar, though she still praised his heroics at least. "Well, he gets the job done, doesn't he?"

"Not always, he seems really sloppy, and he looks incompetent," Lola said. "He looks like some random kid who probably saw The Avengers and decided to become a hero. Probably a local mutant trying to make use of his abilities. I mean, I personally have nothing against mutants, but that doesn't mean everyone needs to act like a superhero, otherwise there's more harm than good."

"Wow, um...so not a fan?" Lincoln asked. "I mean, I thought he was pretty brave, and he did save Lana and Lily."

"That's one good thing, of course he couldn't save that poor old man, plus Lana said he seemed sloppy," Lola said.

"It was his first day!" Lincoln said.

"Still, he's gonna have to do a lot to earn my respect," Lola said. "My advice Linky, if you're gonna look up to a hero, stick with guys like Iron Man or Captain America, one has money and one has muscle, but not too much like that Hulk guy, he looks like a walking broccoli."

Lincoln began thinking about the Hulk and his monstrous strength, he had to wonder what was worse, The Hulk or a hundred angry Lolas. "Maybe don't say that about a guy with super strength who from what I heard, slammed around the alien's leader like he was nothing. I heard that same leader has God like powers too, just like Thor."

"Still, Spider-Man looks like a scrawny kid, he should leave hero work to The Professionals, that or find another superhero to keep us all safe, I don't think he'd get lucky twice if any of our sisters got kidnapped again," Lola said. "Also his suit looks so tacky, did he get that from some garage sale or something?"

"This is so awkward," Lincoln mentally lamented.

"Plus, I don't need him to feel safe anyway," Lola said, hugging Lincoln. "Because I feel so much safer around you than some lame wannabe superhero."

"Thanks Lola," Lincoln said, returning the hug. "Ironic too."

At Great Lakes, while Ronnie Anne is watching TV with her cousins, a knock on the door was heard.

"I'll get it!" Bobby said, opening up to reveal his sister's best friend. "Hey Sid."

"Sup Bobby, where's Ronnie Anne?" Sid asked, the girl looking excited.

"She's inside with-" Sid rushed past Bobby. "The cousins..."

"Ronnie Anne!" Sid shouted, rushing beside her friend.

"Hey Sid," Ronnie Anne greeted. "What's-"

Sid shoved an article in her face, "Check it out! Royal Woods officially has a superhero!"

"Superhero?" Carl said, looking to the article as well with his siblings.

"Spider-Man?" Ronnie Anne said, reading the heading. "Wait, is this the same guy that saved Lincoln's sisters?"

"I think so!" Sid said. "This is so cool! An actual Superhero in Royal Woods! How long before one comes here!"

"Slow down Sid, let's focus on the one that's in our friend's hometown," Ronnie Anne said.

"Does it say if he's a mutant? Or an alien? Or some type of government creation?" Carl asked.

"No one knows about him," Sid said. "He just shows up to save people!"

As the kids talked, Carlos opened the door to his parents' apartment, joined by Connors.

"You really should take one of my mother's tamales for the road, Curt," Carlos said.

"I would appreciate that, thank you Carlos," Connors said as Carlos went to the kitchen.

"We really should call Lincoln later, see if he's seen Spider-Man yet," Sid said, this getting Connors's attention.

"Think he can get me an autograph?" Carl asked.

"Don't count on it," Carlota said.

"I do want to check in with Lincoln, or Lori, she should be in Royal Woods right about now," Ronnie Anne said.

"Hm...Spider-Man, a new hero," Connors said. "Fascinating."

"Spider-Man looks so Amazing! According to this article, he has super strength, can crawl on walls and he can shoot webs from his hands," Sid said.

"The web thing sounds kind of gross," Carlota said.

"Well he is a spider, and at least it's coming from his hands," Sid said.

"Imagine if it didn't come from his hands," Carl said.

"Ew, Carl, shut up," Carlota said.

"Hey Curt," Carlos said, giving him the tamale. "Here you go."

"Thank you my friend, I should be off," Connors said, making his leave.

"See you soon Curt," Carlos said, then noticed the kids were having a hot discussion. "Hm, wonder what they could be talking about?"

Later on in his office, Connors was seen about to inject a mouse without a front right paw with his limb regeneration formula he's been working on. "Alright, easy now. Just gotta..."

He slowly but carefully injected the mouse, awaiting to see what would happen. The creature began to twitch a bit, worrying Connors that the test was failing and that he may have to start over, but within seconds, the mouse grew its limb back, pleasing Connors.

"Excellent, it's all working well. A few more tests, and I should be able to make the final preparations," Connors then looked to the stub where his right arm was. "The sooner the better."

As he was about to research some stuff, he saw the files on his spiders, recalling the conversation he heard earlier from Ronnie Anne, Sid and the cousins, each of them gushing about the new hero.

"I do wonder about that Spider-Man hero, where did he come from?" Connors had a lot to think about regarding both his scientific endeavor and the sudden arrival of Spider-Man.

Later at the Loud House, Lincoln was doing a few more designs to his costume when a slight buzz in his head went off. Not too long after that, he heard a minor explosion next door. Seconds later there was a knock on his own, Lincoln answering to see Lily.

"Lisa caused another explosion," the toddler said, covered in soot and looking quite annoyed.

"Accidents happen!" Lisa called.

"Go get cleaned up, I'll check on Lisa," Lincoln said, making his way out of the room.

"Hey, what's that on your desk?" Lily asked, freaking Lincoln out.

"Uh, nothing, just some stuff," Lincoln said. "Seriously, you need to wipe that soot off your face."

"Um, alright," Lily said, obeying her brother and making her way into the bathroom.

"Gotta be careful when working on my Spider-Man gear at home, maybe there's another place I can do that where I don't risk my sisters finding out," Lincoln peaked inside Lisa's room, seeing that she was wiping her glasses and dusting herself off. This was business as usual for her, hence why she usually brushes it off, even if it does annoy her when an experiment goes wrong, it is part of science.

"Lisa..." Lincoln said, getting her attention.

"I know what you're gonna say, you want me to be careful," Lisa said.

"Well yeah, I don't want you getting hurt," Lincoln said.

"I appreciate the concern, Lincoln, but I have everything under control," Lisa said.

"That little explosion says otherwise," Lincoln said.

"It's a small explosion, oh what, you're worried I'm gonna come out twice my size looking green and muscular?" Lisa asked, unusually sarcastic.

"Honestly, I'm worried something similar can happen," Lincoln said.

"I know The Avengers showing is a big deal, but it takes more than common accidents to create superpowers," Lisa said. "I don't know the full story behind what happened to Doctor Banner, but I'd like to think it was more than just a lab explosion."

"Still, you have had consequences, like that extra toe, bald head and your teeth falling out," Lincoln said.

"Collateral damage," Lisa said.

"What are you working on anyway?" Lincoln asked.

"If you must know, I'm working on ways to trap Spider-Man," Lisa said.

Lincoln raised his eyebrow in confusion, "I'm sorry, trap who!?"

"Spider-Man, that delinquent I've heard about on TV," Lisa said. "I'm going to trap him and figure out who and what he is."

"Uh...why?" Lincoln asked. "He's a superhero, why would you trap a superhero? Only villains do that."

"For science," Lisa said. "Do you know how I wish to be able to experiment on The Avengers, figure out what makes their abilities work like they do? Unfortunately, they're in New York, and getting an experiment done on them is much more difficult than if they were here. But Spider-Man being here is a big break for me, because now I can experiment on him, it's my first step to understanding super heroic abilities in common humans. That is if he is one, can't rule out the fact that he might be an alien."

"So, you want to experiment on a hero, who saved some classmates that you personally know, one of them being your best friend," Lincoln said. "That doesn't sound terrible to you? I mean he might just be a regular mutant."

"To be fair, I'd love to experiment on the X-Gene," Lisa admitted.

"Lisa, this is kind of crossing the line, even for you," Lincoln said.

"It's science, Lincoln, I can't pass this up," Lisa said. "Besides, from what I've heard, this Spider-Man fellow really isn't that great. He caught lightning in a jar when he rescued Darcy, but beyond that, I consider his abilities mediocre at best."

"First Lola, now Lisa, any other sister hate Spider-Man?" Lincoln shook his head and began to make his exit, "Just don't find yourself in over your head, and don't do anything reckless."

"I wouldn't dream of it, big brother," Lisa said as Lincoln made his exit. "But I will dream of my chance to make one of the biggest scientific discoveries in recent memory. Move over Hank Pym, because Lisa Loud is about to rule the science world."

Lincoln went to the bathroom to check up on Lily, peeking inside to see that she was washing her face, "Hey Lily, got all that soot off?"

"Uh-huh," Lily said.

"Good thing it wasn't a lot," Lincoln said.

"Lisa's been really busy, she said something about Spider-Man and figuring out who he is," Lily said. "When I asked her why, she told me 'For Science'."

"Yeah, she told me something similar," Lincoln said. "So, what do you think about Spider-Man?"

"Well, he seemed scary at first, but he turned out to be really nice, and now he goes around to save people," Lily said. "He saved me too, so I like him."

"That makes two sisters," Lincoln said. "I like Spider-Man too, he brought you and Lana back home safely."

"I was actually working on a card for him as a way to say 'Thanks', though I don't even know if I can get it to him," Lily said.

"That's so sweet Lily, there might be a way, why don't you get that card finished and leave the rest up to me," Lincoln said.

"Ok Linky," Lily said, making her way back to her room.

"Gotta love Lily, she's so pure of heart. I hope she stays that way, even if I have to make sure of it," Lincoln said.

"Good luck with that," Lucy said, having suddenly appeared beside Lincoln, startling him a bit.

"Wish this sense of mine would alert me to Lucy, though since she's not a threat I guess it doesn't work," Lincoln turned to his sister. "Did you need anything from me?"

"I heard you mention to Lily that you were going to help her give something to Spider-Man, truthfully I'd like something delivered too," Lucy said. "I wrote a poem in his honor; I'd love for him to read it."

"Oh, so you like Spider-Man too?" Lincoln asked.

"Of course, he's so creepy looking, and I love it," Lucy said, forming a hint of a smile.

"Uh... wow, never considered him creepy," Lincoln said.

"He's a human spider, Lincoln, hero or not, that could be considered kind of scary," Lucy said.

"Lily did say he was scary at first, and Bill Buck admitted that Spider-Man might have been too creepy for the public since most people don't like spiders," Lincoln realized. "Never thought of him as creepy really, I was just more focused on his cool powers."

"Everyone has their preferences, I mean Lola thinks spiders are cute, which they are but her idea of cute differs from mine," Lucy said.

"Too bad Lola doesn't like Spider-Man, but at least Lucy does," Lincoln focused back on his goth sister. "Well, if you want that delivered, I can help with that too, but it might take some time."

"I expected that, this is a superhero whose whereabouts are a total mystery," Lucy said. "Only springing into action the moment a desperate cry for help is uttered by the poor souls in despair."

"Poetic, as usual from you Lucy," Lincoln said.

By dinner time, the entire family was enjoying their food at the table, Lynn Sr having made some spaghetti and meatballs to which all the siblings were present for, even Lori. Lincoln had his food on his plate, but still a lot on his mind as he was considering what more to add to his suit and gear, as well as find a way for the public to accept Spider-Man. While there were those who did seem to appreciate him, he did worry what most of Royal Woods felt, especially with Jameson slandering him.

"Yo Linc, you done eating? I could use a bit more food intake," Lynn said, snapping the boy out of it.

"No way, you have plenty, I'm just eat at my own pace," Lincoln said.

"Well hurry, in this house, when it comes food, you snooze," Lynn quickly yanked a meatball off his plate. "You lose."

"Hey!" Lincoln shouted in annoyance, pulling his plate away.

"Just a friendly reminder," Lynn said, popping the meatball into her mouth.

"Lynn, don't steal from your brother's plate," Rita scolded. She then noticed Lynn eyeing another plate, "And don't take from Lucy's either."

Lucy noticed Lynn hovering over her food, so she covered it while hissing at the older sister.

"What's on your mind anyway sport, anything we should be concerned about?" Lynn Sr asked.

"It's nothing, it's more personal stuff, some projects I have to work on," Lincoln said.

"Well if you need help, you can always count on your family," Lynn Sr said.

"Yeah, I know, I appreciate that," Lincoln said.

"Well anyway, since we're all here, I feel like I need to address some things," Rita said. "As many of you know, there has been a recent surge of crime in Royal Woods, from robberies to mugging. Luckily, it's more towards the center of town. Now I won't tell you that you can't go out but if you do, we need to enforce some rules."

"That's right, for starters, always have your phones on and ready to call for help," Lynn Sr said. "You all know how to dial for the police, right?"

"Of course, it's basic stuff," Luna said.

"Stay away from strangers, that's something you should already know but I want it enforced," Rita said.

"I'd rather not get kidnapped again, so that sounds good to me," Lana said.

"Try to always stay with a group, and keep an eye out for each other," Lynn Sr said.

"If you see trouble, avoid it," Rita said.

"Mom, dad, we'll be fine, or do I need to remind everyone again what we did when we were in Scotland?" Lynn asked.

"Lynn, what you and your siblings did in Scotland was reckless, you could have gotten hurt, and I'd rather not repeat that," Rita said. "Like you tried doing last week. You're lucky none of you got grounded for that."

"It shouldn't be too bad out there, I mean there's a new superhero in town keeping everyone safe," Luan said.

"You mean Spider-Man?" Lynn asked. "Please, that guy's useless. He gets lucky in one rescue then goes around acting like the new Captain America, when all he does is annoy everyone around him.

"Great..." Lincoln lamented.

"Not true, Lynn, he's saved tons of people," Luna said. "Hey Lori, didn't he save your old classmates?"

"Yeah, they wouldn't stop bugging me about it," Lori said.

"Ha, bug, good one," Luan said.

"Spiders are arachnids, not bugs," Lisa corrected.

"Eh, po-tay-to, po-tah-to," Luan said. "Point is that's proof that he did something great."

"Is it really?" Lori asked. "I mean, I don't blame my friends for getting excited because they're huge Ace Savvy fans, but it hasn't always been great work from that so-called hero," Lori said. "Whitney said he punched a crook so hard, he landed on her brand-new car, it was heartbreaking for her."

"It's just a car, for all we know that crook could have gone after your friend and really hurt her just to steal that car, or her money, or both," Luna said.

"I really should have watched what I was doing, but Luna's right, that guy was going after Whitney next. But wow did she have a mouth on her," Lincoln recalled, especially her colorful phrases when her car got damaged.

"I heard he made stupid assumptions that got people riled up when it came to what he thought was a robbery," Lynn said.

"People make mistakes," Lana said. "He does more good than bad."

"He shouldn't even be patrolling the streets, he's so creepy," Leni said.

"Creepy how? His suit's colorful!" Luna said.

"He's a spider, they're gross, no one likes spiders," Leni said. "Plus all that sticky webby goo all over the place."

"Think it comes out of his butt?" Lana wondered, Lincoln groaning in annoyance while many of the sisters gagged or nearly threw up.

"Please do not say that out loud," Luna said.

"Ugh, all the more reason to not like him," Leni said. "He's just some creepy, ugly spider and I wish he'd go away."

"How do you know he's ugly? You've never seen him without the mask on," Luan said.

"If a hero was cute, he wouldn't need a mask," Leni said. "You don't see Thor wearing a mask."

"You don't see The Hulk wearing a mask either, does he look cute?" Luna asked.

"Plus Tony Stark is handsome, and he wears a helmet," Lola said.

"Well Tony Stark at least takes off his helmet," Leni said.

"Also what about Captain America, do you think he's ugly?" Luan asked.

"Alright, so maybe mask does not equal ugly, but he could still be creepy, I mean what if he has a spider face under that mask, what if he has a bunch of little eyes and stuff?"

"I did not need that imagine in my head, I shouldn't have to worry about that, will I?" Lincoln wondered.

"That does bring me to my next point, something Dana brought up to me, "Lori said. "The Avengers at least let people know who they are. But no one knows who Spider-Man is. Why is he hiding his identity?"

"Well, he is an Ace Savvy fan, or so it seems," Lincoln said. "Maybe he's just doing what they do in the comic books."

"That's what Chaz said, but this isn't a comic book, he really shouldn't be going around using his powers like this, it could be disastrous," Lori said.

"We don't even know how he got those powers too," Lynn said. "What if he's not even human?"

"He's probably a mutant who's using his powers for good, that's admirable," Luan said.

"And illegal," Lori said. "The Mutant Registration Laws exist for a reason, so the public knows who's a mutant and who isn't."

"Those laws are bogus, it just singles out people with mutant powers so they can be ridiculed by the public," Luna said. "I don't blame Spider-Man for not telling anyone who he is, he probably doesn't want to get treated differently outside of the mask."

"I too believe he might be a mutant, according to research, the X-Gene develops around the time of puberty, and Spider-Man seems to resemble a young boy in his early teens," Lisa said. "I mean, far as I can tell since he wears a mask, but it could mean that he just developed these abilities too."

"You know I'd like to meet this Spider-Man guy in person, he's strong but I bet he's not stronger than I am," Lynn said.

"There's a picture of him online lifting up a car to help out a person that was pinned underneath," Luan said. "There's no way you can do that."

"Bet I can," Lynn said.

"You're so full of crap," Luna said.

"Hey, I can go out and lift Vanzilla right now if I wanted to!" Lynn insisted.

"You know what I think Lynn? You're just jealous that Spider-Man is the talk of the town you wish you were," Luna said. "Face it, no matter how good your sporting career might be, you're always going to be second to a superhero who actually does stuff of importance."

"How about I show you personally how strong I am," Lynn said, cracking her knuckles.

"Alright that's enough," Rita said. "I understand that Spider-Man is a hot topic, Lord knows I have to put up with it all day at work, especially from Mr. Jameson."

"What do you think of Spider-Man, mommy?" Lily asked.

"Well, I think it's great that he's using his powers to help people, I don't know why crime started so fast, but a least we have a hero to help protect us," Rita said. "I just hope he keeps safe himself, I mean if I were his mother, I'd be really worried about him going out and putting himself in danger."

"Oh man, if my mom ever found out who I was, would I get grounded for being a superhero?" Lincoln wondered.

"Why did it have to be such a creepy looking hero though?" Lynn Sr asked, getting a side-eyed look from his wife.

"Tell me you're not serious, Lynn," Rita said.

"He's a spider, you can't trust spiders, plus what if he really is in cahoots with those thugs?" Lynn Sr asked.

"Even my dad thinks that Spider-Man is bad?" Lincoln couldn't help but feel a bit hurt hearing these words from his father.

"Lynn, please, you're starting to sound like my boss," Rita said. "No more Spider-Man talk for a while, let's just try to get used to him. If any of you spot him, do not bother him or pester him for questions."

"No promises, mother," Lisa mentally noted.

Lincoln now had more to worry about, "Half my sisters seem to hate Spider-Man, and my dad too. What would their reaction be if they did find out my powers? Would they hate me? Leni and dad really don't like spiders, what if they stop wanting me to be around? What if I run into a situation similar to the bad luck fiasco? I can't let anyone find out, not yet. I don't think I can handle that type of stress."

Later on after dinner, Lincoln wad finishing up his costume when he got a phone call from Ronnie Anne. However when he answered, he heard Sid's voice, "Lincoln!"

"Ah! Sid! Don't shout like that," Lincoln said.

"Sorry, I just had so much to ask you," Sid said.

"Sid! Give me back my phone!" Ronnie Anne was heard saying, taking the phone from her friend. "Sorry about that, we wanted to call you and Sid got all excited."

"That's fine, what is this about?" Lincoln said, placing the phone on speaker as he continued to work on his suit.

"We just wanted to ask you about Spider-Man, I'm guessing you heard about him," Ronnie Anne said.

"Yeah, I have, big name here in Royal Woods," Lincoln said.

"What's this all about? Does anyone know his origin?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Not yet, he just showed up one day and decided he wanted to be a hero, probably inspired by Ace Savvy, given his earlier design," Lincoln said.

"I still can't believe a hero exists there, is he popular?" Ronnie Anne asked. "Do people already love him?"

"No, I mean he has fans, but also detractors," Lincoln said. "Plus some news reporter keeps slandering him."

"That's bogus!" Sid shouted. "Heroes should not get slandered!"

"Stop shouting next to my ear!" Ronnie Anne scolded. "But Sid's right, he shouldn't be slandered. What is it some worry because it's a new hero? Do they think he's a mutant or something?"

"It's a lot of things, from distrusting a guy with a secret identity, to a fear of spiders in general," Lincoln said. "But, I believe it Spider-Man, and I think he can be an amazing hero."

"Hell yeah he can," Sid said.

"So, you're fully on team Spider-Man then?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Yeah," Lincoln said, holding up the finalized version of his suit. "I'm team Spider-Man."

That night, two bank robbers were driving off in a new getaway car, trying to outdrive some cops.

"Hey, get that explosive ready, those cops are gonna get a nice surprise," Bank Robber one said.

Bank Robber two leaned out the window, ready to toss the explosive. "Take this coppers!"

Before he could toss it, the device was thwipped away, with the bank robber looking confused.

"What in the world!?"

Suddenly Lincoln landed on the roof of the car, breaking the windows and webbing the two onto a giant spider web that he formed between a pair of streetlights. He then jumped in front of the driverless car to stop it and placed it safely on the side of the road.

The cops surrounded the two bank robbers trapped in the spider's web, one of them radioing for assistance.

"Yeah we got them, not without help though."

"Help? From who?"

"Who else?" The Cop looked up and standing at the rooftop was the completed look of Lincoln's Spider-Man suit. A red and blue attire, a white spider on his chest with a blank outline, dark red boots and gloves, a black and yellow designed belt, finally some yellow and black marks on his wrist. "The Spider-Man himself."

Lincoln thwipped away, his job done and the city safe again, for now.

The following morning, Lincoln had made his way to Gus's Game and Grubs, secretly wearing his Spider-Man costume underneath, just in case he had to do his job. Though it was uncomfortable for him at first, especially the constant wedgie.

He made his way inside where his friends were all sitting at their booth, Clyde being the first to notice. "Hey Lincoln!"

The others started calling Lincoln over, the boy taking a seat next to Girl Jordan, who seemed quite pleased to see him, "Hey Linc, glad you can join us."

"Hi Jordan, hi everyone," Lincoln said.

"Yo Lincoln, we were just talking about Spider-Man, he's really been on everyone's minds lately," Rusty said.

"Sure has, especially my sisters'," Lincoln said. "Half of them like him, the other half doesn't."

"I bet Leni's one who doesn't, she really does not like spiders after all," Clyde said.

"That's an understatement," Lincoln said. "So...what does everyone else think?"

"Well I think he's cool, the outfit's a bit tacky though," Rusty said.

"Anyone who keeps this city safe is alright by me," Liam said.

"I've really gotten used to spiders lately, plus he did save your sisters, so I like him," Stella said.

"I'm just curious what's under that mask," Girl Jordan said. "Think he's cute?"

"Probably, personally I'm just glad he's on our side," Mollie said.

"I bet he's an alien, maybe there's more of him out there," Zach said.

"I think he's awesome, and he seems to be an Ace Savvy fan based on some pics I've seen of him online," Clyde said. "I wonder if he's willing to accept a sidekick?"

"What about you Lincoln, what are your thoughts?" Stella asked.

"I think he's super cool, and I hope he becomes big," Lincoln said. "Maybe a member of The Avengers one day."

"That would be totally lit," Rusty said. "I bet he'd go far with them, and to think, it would be from our little town of Royal Woods."

"Here's your food, kids," Gus said, leaving a huge pizza on their table.

"Thanks Gus," Lincoln said, each of his friends grabbing a slice and munching it down.

"We should hit the arcades, I feel lucky today and I'm getting tickets for that Hammer," Rusty said, standing on the chair. "I shall be worthy of you yet, Mjölnir!"

"Rusty's certainly enthusiastic," Stella said. "I'm going for the Skee-Ball, maybe I can beat my old record."

"Let's bust," Mollie said, everyone getting off the table and toward the arcades. Lincoln however noticed his laces, "Hold on, my shoe's untied. I'll catch up with you."

"We won't be far, Linky," Girl Jordan said.

Lincoln tied his shoes up and was about to head in when he heard a voice, "Lincoln?"

He turned around and spotted a familiar girl, "Emma, hey how's it going, I don't think I've seen you much lately."

"Sorry, I've been busy," Emma said. "Hey, Chloe and I never got to go on our double date with you and Clyde."

"Right, things have been hectic for me," Lincoln said, then found himself in a hug from Emma.

"Thought you could use one," Emma said. "I've been waiting all week for it."

Lincoln briefly returned the hug, "Thanks." After pulling away, he gestured her into the arcades, "Hey, do wanna join me? I'm about to do the dance machine."

"Oh I'd love that," Emma said, then blushing as Lincoln took her hand.

"Come on," Lincoln led Emma toward the games.

Not too far off, Chloe was shown to have seen the whole thing, the girl looking highly satisfied, "You go girl, better make sure this goes well."

As Clyde was ready to use the whack-a-mole, he took notice of Lincoln with Emma, "Looks like my bud's got his date after all. Wonder where-" He could see Chloe not too far away from them. "Chloe!"

This got her attention, the girl waving to the boy in glasses, "Hey Clyde, I'm just checking on Lincoln and Emma, I'll come hang out with you in a bit."

"Oh...well, alright," Clyde said.

"Tough break," Zach said, having appeared beside Clyde. "What's taking her so long to date you?"

"We are, she's just busy at times," Clyde said. "That and she wants to help Emma, she's just that loyal to her. I think it would make her feel better about us going out if she knows Emma is happy with someone."

"With how shy Emma is, who knows how long that will take," Zach said.

"She's with Lincoln, and it looks like they're finally about to date, it's only a matter of time," Clyde said.

Also noticing the two nearby was Christina, the girl at a karaoke booth with her friend Paige. "Looks like Lincoln Loud found a date."

"Huh?" Paige turned to see Lincoln with Emma. "How cute."

"I should find time to talk to Lincoln later, I want to know his opinion on Spider-Man," Christina said.

"Knowing him, he's already a big fan, after all if there's one thing Lincoln Loud is known for, it's being a big fan of superheroes," Paige said.

"Yeah, that's true," Christina replied. "It's nice knowing that there are those who appreciate Spider-Man, despite what others are saying about him. I just like hearing Lincoln's optimistic point of view, it's...refreshing."

"Hey, don't worry about what people are saying about Spider-Man, I bet it doesn't even bother him," Paige said.

"Still...why are some people so cruel?" Christina asked. She then felt Paige's hand on her shoulder.

"I know you're going through stuff now, and I know it frightens you, but I'm still here for you, aren't I?" Paige said. "Come on, we're here to have fun, so let's sing our hearts out."

"Yeah, you're right," Christina said.

"So, what's first? Boyz will be Boyz? Smooch? Or how about Twelve is Midnight?" Paige asked.

"Let's stick with our faves first," Christina said, selecting her favorite Boyz will be Boyz song.

Meanwhile at a pub, Luna had gotten to the front of a line where a DJ was taking suggestions for musical performances at a Royal Woods Block Party. "Name and Band?"

"My name's Luna Loud, and my band is, The Moon Goats."

Sam waited nearby with Sully and Mazzy, all three excited for this potential opportunity.

"This Block Party is gonna be huge, I can't wait to perform," Sam said.

"I just hope we're among the bands potentially chosen," Mazzy said.

"Hey I think we earned enough gigs to be respected enough around town," Sully said. "We're more well known than a lot of bands."

"Doesn't Luna's dad have a band though? The Doo Dads or something?" Mazzy asked. "I think I saw their drummer earlier."

"Oh yeah, they're not bad though, you can tell Luna got her musical taste from her dad," Sam said. "He really knows how to rock that Cow Bell."

"Got our names up," Luna said, getting her band's attention. "Just gotta hope we get chosen."

"Is anyone else still signing up?" Sully asked.

"Yeah, that one guy is," Luna said, gesturing to a man with a black jacket and shorts, and a white shirt with some shades. "He looks kind of familiar though."

"Name and band?"

"The name is Herman Shultz, and my band, is The Shockers."

"Pfft, The Shockers?" Mazzy said, getting a laugh from Sully and Sam, while Luna couldn't help but feel like she's heard this name before.

"Could it be...?" Luna would probably figure it out soon, right now she had to get ready for her show.
