"AAAHH....! Fuck.... it was just a nightmare. Damn. It's still dark out, what time is it."
I sat up and slowly got out of bed and headed to the kitchen, I rubbed and stretched the back of my neck as I poured myself a cup of water.
I leaned against the counter as I sipped every so often, my mind was replaying the nightmare. The same figure from earlier appeared over and over again I would die to it.
There were times when I had the strength to try and fight back, times when I tried to run.... times I did nothing but fall to my knees and gave up.
Everytime without fail, I would die. It didn't matter what I did, what I said the creature never listened or cared. My death was the only thing that could restart the loop.
"Damn.... I guess it affected me more than I thought."
I rubbed my forehead as I put the glass down, I rubbed my tired eyes and sighed to myself:
"I'm so tired."
I picked up the glass rinsing it off, before putting it away. I turned the stove light off and began walking back to my room in complete darkness.
From the corner of my eye I noticed something move in front of my door, I continued walking as if I didn't see it, not letting what ever it was know I'd noticed it; as I waited for my eyes to adjust.
I continued forward until I got to the door to my room, I pretended to notice something on the floor as I reached behind the door frame to grab a metal bat.
It was clear that who ever it was they didn't have a gun, otherwise they wouldn't be trying so hard to remain hidden.
As soon as my hand gripped the bat they rushed towards me, pulling the bat out as fast as I could; sidestepped them and swung as hard as I could.
I heard a lound crack as I hit who ever ran towards me, my hands became a little numb as the impact rang through them.
"Damn it, what are you made out of, Bricks."
Flicked the light switch to see who it was, when I looked there was nothing there beside a small puddle of something.
I knelt down to take a look at what it was, it was gold in color and sparkled a little; as the light bounced off it. Dipping my finger in it, I rubbed my finger testing the consistency.
(It's almost as thick as blood..., what is this stuff.?.?)
"Hey bud, I think you're leaking! You might wanna come clean this up....., and get checked out while you're at it!"
Looking around the room the person was nowhere to be seen.
(Who ever they were, they weren't small. Plus taking a hit like that, from a metal bat no less, that's just inhuman....., Alright bullets it is.)
As I continued to watch my surroundings I headed towards the drawer beside the bed, reaching down I opened it and pulled a small handgun out.
Holding the bat over my shoulder, just in case, I held the gun up as I searched the rest of the room.
After looking through the close I turned around I looked to my open bathroom door, I sighed as I made my way there; shaking my head.
I moved towards the room; gun aimed and ready. Slowly reaching my hand into the room, I searched for the light switch.
Flicking the light on, I prepared to walk in. But my wrist was grabbed tightly before I could move, the large hand tightened its grip as it pulled me into the room.
Before I could even react, I was swung around the room and thrown through the wall and back into the living room. I crashed into the couch and continued forward over it, landing infront of the front door.
I slowly looked up as I gathered my strength, and rose to my knees. Walking through the hole was a large man, he wore white clothing that matched his skin and short hair.
As he gripped the frame, it shattered beneath his grip as he pulled himself through.
"Awe come on we're all friends here, how's that head of yours, ears ringing, or you want another one."
The man stared at me with his golden eyes as he effortlessly pushed the couch aside with one hand. A toothy grin covered his face as he used his right hand push his hair aside.
Beneath his hand the bruise from the bat was revealed, the golden liquid from before seemed to be slowly dripping from a small cut.
"Got ya pretty good didn't I, heh, guess that makes us even. Now we're officially friends."
I smirked as I spoke, but it was wiped from my face when the bruise and cut began to heal right infront of me. He wiped away the blood and began walking towards me again, still grinning from ear to ear.
"That's so not fair."
As he walked towards me I looked over to the bat on my right me, and the gun on my left. When he was in range I grabbed the bat as hard as I could; hitting the side of his knee.
His leg buckled under his weight giving me time to grab the gun:
"Bang."
Pulling the trigger I shot at the same knee and watched as the bullet pierced right through causing him to fall.
"Time for a nap."
Getting up, I gripped the bat with both hands and swung as hard as I could, aiming for his head.
The thing quickly raised its hand catching the bat, without flinching. He squeezed the bat bending it in his hand, and grabbed me by my neck with the other.
Momentarily in shock I watched as he rose up to his feet, his grip tightened around my neck as he lifted me off my feet. Looking down at his leg, I could see it quickly heal itself.
Looking back at him he was looking at his leg, then back up at me, he smiled again and gave me a big smile.
"Bang."
He spoke... his voice was deep and raspy. He sounded as if he had never spoken before..., as if he was learning.
"Good boy, you've earned a treat."
I spoke with the little oxygen I had left, lifting the gun, I put the barrel under his chin and pulled the trigger.
In that instant I found myself laying on the ground looking up at the beast, but something was off.
Looking up at him, I watched as his body fell lifeless down to it's knees. In its hands he was holding onto something...., someone.
As my vision went dark I realized what was in his hand....., it was.... my body. I was slowly lifted in the air by my hair, I was turned around and was face to face with a woman.
As everything faded to black, all I could see was... sadness.
As the last bit of life left Sun's eyes, the woman sat him down gently, she walked over to the man and put her hand on his face.
As she softly caressed his cheek, a bright white light lit up from her palm, it was warm and comforting. The hole in the mans head began to seal itself, and new light re-entered his hollow eyes.
As he became conscious, he gently grabbed her hand, moving it toward his lips. He gently pressed onto her, leaving a warm kiss.
Rising up, he continued to hold her as he walked over the body, towards the head.
"Now...., We're friends."
He knelt down and gently picked up the head, as he sat it down on the glass table, a bright white portal opened up infront of them.
On the other side there were two more whom looked like them looking back, the other two were in a room with four androids laying dismantled behind them.
Walking through the portal the other man carried the body of a woman, laying her beside the head.
As the four of them looked at one another two of them began to disperse, fading into the bodies of the others.
Opening another portal they walked through, leaving the bodies and destruction behind.
A blinding light began to devour everything around as they stepped through, everything was engulfed in a bright white heat.
Nothing could survive the onslaught of the light as it tore through the streets, the building, the people and even the animals. When it was finally finished there was nothing left but a deep all-encompassing darkness.
Then without realizing it the gates were opened and there stood two people holding one damaged white sword with the emblem of a wing on it.
The two looked at eachother with wide eyes, without saying a single the word they agreed to place the sword back onto the ground, and slowly backed away.
"Did you???"
"Yeah."
They slowly took another step back and began to check their bodies for anything out of the ordinary.
"I take it, it worked?"
It was only when hearing the voice did they realize they were really back. Looking up they could see Maria watching as they acted unusual.
