Chapter 581: The Great Thunder Wolf Pill vs. Blacklight Serpent Bullet
High in the sky, after hearing the Second Tianzun's stern warning, the Third Tianzun's face turned dark and grim. Although he still resented his previous defeat at Mo Yu's hands, he realized in this direct battle that Mo Yu's strength was indeed formidable, causing him significant trouble. However, remembering the brutal punishment awaiting him if he failed again, the Third Tianzun's expression twisted with rage. This time, he had to kill Mo Yu no matter what.
"Damn brat, you've forced me into this."
With a venomous glare at Mo Yu, the Third Tianzun reached out his hand. A mass of black mist separated from his palm and floated in front of him. Inside the mist was a dense and powerful soul aura. Staring at the mist with a pained expression, the Third Tianzun hesitated for a moment before gritting his teeth and making a hand sign. The black mist expanded rapidly before condensing into a small, translucent soul body that shot out from the mist.
As the soul body emerged, the Third Tianzun quickly spat out a dark mist, wrapping it up. Sensing the danger, the soul body struggled violently, sending out waves of fear.
"Hmph!"
The Third Tianzun snorted coldly, opening his mouth wide. A powerful suction force pulled the soul body straight into his mouth, swallowing it whole. After consuming the soul, the black light around the Third Tianzun grew darker, and his aura became even more dangerous.
But he didn't stop there. The Third Tianzun continued to release and swallow more soul bodies from the black mist. As he devoured more souls, the black light surrounding him became thicker, and his strength steadily increased.
"So, he's boosting his power by consuming soul bodies... and these souls were once powerful Dou Zuns. The Soul Hall truly is evil," Mo Yu muttered to himself, frowning as he watched the scene from a distance.
Swallowing soul energy to enhance one's strength was a tactic used mainly by the Soul Hall's protectors, who typically consumed the souls of Dou Kings and Dou Sects. However, at the level of a Tianzun, devouring weaker souls had little effect. Only souls at the Dou Zun level could provide a noticeable boost.
Dou Zun souls were rare and valuable to the Soul Hall, normally reserved for the higher-ups. Only someone like the Third Tianzun, a half-saint, had the authority to keep them for personal use. And now, he was using his secret stash against Mo Yu.
While Mo Yu considered this, the Third Tianzun quickened his pace, swallowing soul after soul. His aura became more imposing with each one. Finally, after devouring over a dozen Dou Zun souls, he clenched his fist, and a terrifying surge of dark energy rippled through the sky of the Wild Ancient Domain.
A chilling, raspy beast cry echoed across the heavens. Though the sound wasn't particularly loud, it carried a strange, magical quality that caused every battlefield to freeze as countless gazes turned toward the Third Tianzun.
From the swirling black mist, a pair of cold, massive snake eyes slowly emerged, sweeping over everyone below and sending a chill through their bodies. The oppressive aura from the snake's gaze made everyone's movements freeze briefly—this was the power of a Saint-level beast!
From the mist, a giant, ethereal serpent began to take shape. Like the souls the Third Tianzun had consumed, this serpent lacked a physical body. However, it was different in one important way—it was the soul of a magical beast that had nearly reached the half-saint level before its death!
Seeing the Third Tianzun pull out the soul of a nearly half-saint magical beast from the black mist, Mo Yu's face changed. He realized what the Third Tianzun was planning.
Sure enough, as Mo Yu's face shifted, the Third Tianzun suddenly swallowed the massive serpent whole. Despite the serpent's fierce resistance, the Third Tianzun devoured it as easily as if it were a meal. His already hideous face grew more twisted, resembling that of a terrifying demon.
"This guy... he dares to swallow the soul of a nearly Saint-level magical beast? Doesn't he fear backlash, turning into something neither human nor ghost?" Mo Yu muttered, frowning.
Devouring ordinary Dou Zun souls was one thing, as the Third Tianzun could suppress their resistance with his half-saint power. But the soul of a magical beast, especially one nearly at the Saint level, was filled with wild and chaotic energy. By swallowing it, the Third Tianzun was risking his sanity and stability, and he might lose his mind or even be possessed by the beast's spirit.
However, Mo Yu had no time to worry about that. The Third Tianzun was using this reckless method to boost his power to an unprecedented level, preparing to finish Mo Yu once and for all.
Three minutes later, after consuming over a dozen Dou Zun souls and the near-Saint-level magical beast, the Third Tianzun's aura surged to terrifying heights. The black light around him radiated with such intensity that it hurt to look at, and a deep sense of danger emanated from his presence.
"He forced Old Third to use that move… this kid is formidable. But now, this battle is over," Elder Guyou, the Second Tianzun, observed from nearby, his gaze cold as he watched the duel between Mo Yu and the Third Tianzun.
Even Guyou, a powerful Saint, felt threatened by the aura now surrounding Blacklight. Mo Yu, not yet even a half-saint, would be an easy kill. Although Blacklight's technique was dangerous, if it succeeded in killing Mo Yu, a divine bloodline heir, it would be a massive victory for the Soul Hall.
As Guyou felt assured of victory, the Third Tianzun slowly opened his eyes, now filled with cold hatred as he fixed his gaze on Mo Yu.
"You wretched brat! You've forced me into this. Now, die!" he roared.
His body radiating a terrifying aura, the Third Tianzun quickly moved his hands, making complex gestures. The dense black light surrounding him began to pulse violently, then rapidly shrank until it condensed into a small, pitch-black energy ball floating in front of him. The surface of the ball was so dark it seemed to swallow all light, giving it an eerie, soul-sucking presence.
Not stopping there, the Third Tianzun dissolved the massive Blacklight Giant he had summoned earlier, absorbing all of its energy into the dark energy ball. As the energy flowed into the ball, its power increased exponentially. Wherever the black ball moved, space collapsed into black cracks, revealing the void.
Though the Third Tianzun's energy waned as he powered the black ball, his expression grew even more crazed and murderous. His eyes locked onto Mo Yu like those of a vengeful ghost.
"Brat, DIE!" he snarled.
"Blacklight Serpent Bullet!"
With a flick of his finger, the deadly black ball shot toward Mo Yu at terrifying speed, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
Mo Yu's expression turned serious as he watched the incoming attack. He raised his hand, and the Primal Thunder Wolf dissolved into the combined forces of the Primal Thunder and Divine Thunder Wolf, which quickly returned to his body.
In the next moment, a ball of terrifying lightning energy began to form in Mo Yu's palm, swirling with destructive power that caused the surrounding space to warp. This new lightning ball combined all the Mysterious Thunders within Mo Yu, now enhanced with the fierce, predatory aura of the Divine Thunder Wolf.
If his previous thunderball had been powered by the Primal Thunder alone, this new creation had two cores: the Primal Thunder and the Divine Thunder Wolf. Its power far surpassed anything Mo Yu had used before.
Gazing at the powerful new lightning ball, Mo Yu felt a surge of confidence and gave it a new name: the Great Thunder Wolf Pill.
The Great Thunder Wolf Pill swirled with terrifying energy. With a sharp motion, Mo Yu hurled it toward the incoming Blacklight Serpent Bullet. The two spheres of energy, each carrying unimaginable destructive power, collided mid-air.
Great Thunder Wolf Pill vs. Blacklight Serpent Bullet!
The two terrifying forces, capable of making even Saint-level experts tremble, crashed together like meteors. Surprisingly, the expected explosion didn't happen immediately. Instead, the two energies clashed silently, their colors—lightning and blackness—constantly eating away at each other. The space between them warped so intensely that it seemed ready to tear apart.
Waves of energy, as large as ten thousand feet across, rippled from the point of collision, spreading out like shockwaves. The surrounding warriors, realizing how dangerous these energies were, quickly retreated, knowing that being caught in the blast would be disastrous.
The energy waves covered a massive area, nearly ten thousand feet wide, and the sky roared with powerful winds and swirling clouds. The apocalyptic scene struck fear into the hearts of everyone watching, leaving their faces pale with dread.
Even the magical beasts deep within the Wild Ancient Domain sensed the terrifying power of the clash. Birds and land animals alike fled as fast as they could, trying to escape the destructive forces.
After several minutes of this fierce energy battle, a final thunderous roar erupted. A massive shockwave of black and lightning energy burst forth, sweeping across the sky. The sheer force of the wave caused entire forests to snap like twigs, and towering mountains crumbled, sending rocks tumbling down in a chaotic avalanche. The Wild Ancient Domain had been plunged into chaos.
The energy wave also reached Xiao Yan's battlefield. Luckily, Xun'er had been keeping a close eye on the situation. The moment she sensed danger, she grabbed Xiao Yan and retreated far from the blast zone. Meanwhile, Hun Yu, who had been fighting too close to the impact zone, was caught off guard. A groan escaped his lips as he stumbled back, injured by the residual energy.
High in the sky, the deadly energies finally began to dissipate, leaving the battlefield quiet once more. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, grateful the devastating clash was over. Had the two attacks continued, the entire Wild Ancient Domain could have been reduced to rubble.
As the energies faded and the wind and clouds calmed, a figure emerged in the sky—a battered and exhausted Third Tianzun. A fit of coughing wracked his body, and the black light surrounding him flickered weakly. It was clear the energy blast had taken a severe toll on him.
The Third Tianzun looked pitiful. His robes were in tatters, his body hunched and covered in blood. His face was deathly pale, and his breathing was weak, as though he was barely clinging to life.
"It seems I've won this battle," a voice said calmly.
A large figure appeared—standing nearly seven feet tall and exuding an aura of unyielding primal power. Purple lightning crackled around his body, and though his form was also battered, with wounds across his body, he stood far stronger than the Third Tianzun.
This figure was none other than Mo Yu, in his Great Thunder Form.
