Chapter 262 - The Story Stone

"Here!" Raven spoke, Wiping a bit of moss from the wall between the two stairs that Lead up to the Chains and Bell.

A small shine of deep blue was revealed. 5 Meters tall, and equally as large on all sides, embedded into the wall. With a few short motions, many more hands wiped the moss and mildew from the azure Poneglyph. Revealing its full form with an ancient scripture engraved from top to bottom filling the entire face of the stone.

"You weren't kidding when you said they were big." Leroy walked up, arching his neck back to fully look at the entire stone. "No kidding." Káles eyes wandered the stone. It was like nothing he'd ever seen before.

Nor had any of them. It was like looking at something that was utterly ancient or alien that you really had no frame of reference to refer to in your mind.

"Can you read it?" Dezzi asked.

"Yes, I can." Raven said taking a few steps back to fully look at the entire stone. "How do you read it? You said that the one in Arabasta had an entire story on it, but, Is there even enough space to say that much?"

"Each of the Characters are Compounds. Each one is basically a descriptor or sentence that relies on the context of other Characters to be able to fully read it all."

"That would mean that this entire Stone is like a dozen pages from a book!" Noir crossed his arms.

"Percisely. Now, give me a moment. I'll need to reread it a few times to fully get what its trying to say. I may be fluent, but to really understand, its best not to just read once."

While Raven translated the Text into her Notebooks, one for whats been found in Skyderia, and the other for the Poneglyphs in general, the Crew stood around. Just, staring at the large Story Stone.

It took almost 10 minutes for her to full translate after a few revisions and rereads. "Done."

The Crew turned to her.

Raven Began to explain that the Poneglyph spoke of a story that was from close to a thousand years ago.

"It mainly speaks of everyday occurrences. But its…Unrelated to the Euderians that was spoken on in the Mural at Cahoderia. This is about. And even older group of people. Perhaps when the group was one before being split into 8. A word I can only describe as 'Black Wing' is mentioned as well. Not in threats or reverence but as…What seems to be a special group. Kinda like…An Ethnic Sect. Or…Religous? But that blurs the line to much. More simply. Its more like how people view Dark Skin vs Stark Skin. Or Humans and Giants, if their not Racist; Humans and Fishmen."

"The Same. But Different."

"But its so brief theres not enough to gauge from it. Other than that. I can surmise this may have been on the moon. Or Perhaps before they were on the moon. Its very all over the place. Have way through here theres a recipe for…Gucamole! It seems to be the origin for quite a few of the things we found here! Including mentions of what might be Limareels!"

"How their technically living? But similar more to…A living rock that absorbs energies and distributes them. Or like how theres a dozen different types of salt! But why or how. Isn't explained to deeply. Just that- they do. And they last basically for ever until they break from strain."

"But Also" She breathed.

"It speaks also on how a group of people, not the Sky People, hid away, and were protecting the Ancient Weapon known as Anu…" She said with a slight bead of sweat going down her brow

All of their attention turned. Those like Noir and Kirk had heard vaguely of things known as ancient weapons. "Ancient Weapons? You talked about one called…En-?"

"Enkiea. Yes. To think that the next Poneglyph we'd find would speak about it. And- It's location."

"What?!" Dezzi spoke

"Where is it?" Kirk Asked

"That's…The Strange Part. It just Describes Where it is. Something about being hidden in the deepest trench of the sea. But it says it like it hadn't happened yet at the time this was written."

Kirks brow furrowed. "The only place I know thats the 'Deepest Trench' is…"

"Fishman Island." Raven Finished

"I've never been, but Barnum…" Kirk began. "Barnum would make Journey's there once a year. Something about finding his brothers. But knowing him he could've very well be referring to just people who agree with him."

"Hmm. That's strange. I've heard of nothing about a weapon being in the Kingdom of Marina." Raven brought her hand to her chin. Thinking and pondering on exactly what the Poneglyph meant

"Does it talk about what it is at least?" Kále asked with his arms crossed. "No. Nor do I know what this Anu is. All I know is that at some point in history three existed."

"Where'd you even learn about this stuff anyway Rav?" Kirk began to ask, but a sudden shout from Leroy shifted their attention "Hey look at this!"

On the wall next to Poneglyph, was another smaller inscription carved into the wall. Raven walked up behind Leroy. Eyes widening as she read what it said.

"What?"

"It's…It's from The Pirate King."

"What?!" Leroy said eyes widening. "The King of The Pirates was Here?!"

"What's it say Raven?" The Crew began to question as the sudden revelation washed over them all.

"It say. 'I made it Here. Gol D. Roger. I will take this Knowledge with me to the End of The Earth.'"

"What the hell could that mean…Better yet, the Pirate King was also after these stones?" Kirk pondered

"That also means that he somehow made it to these ruins too. To think that a monster like him was probably in the tournament…" Someone that's been said to be so monstrously strong like Roger, probably wiped the floor in the Tournament and had an even easier time than the Red Sashes did.

"This is all…" Leroy began to scratch his head. "So Crazy…To think this was just, practically waiting for us here!"

"Yeah. But, I have everything I need now." Raven spoke. "We can leave when you're all ready."

After a few more minutes of standing around in astonishment. The Crew began to make their way out of the Ruins. Making sure to fully put out all of the Torches. But the captain made sure to also fix the small bell that sat in the middle of the Chairs, giving it a small ring before rushing out of the building.

As they Wandered their way back to the Entrance of Thiya. A Familiar face met them, walking down the path, eyes lighting up as he saw them

"Hey! Congratulations you guys!" Apponiv spoke in a excited tone "C'mon! We gotta make it back to Cahorderia, all of the Celebratory activities and bonfire are getting ready! But we gotta make a quick Detour before that!"

After Two and a Half Weeks of Surviving, thriving, Fighting, and just genuine adventure throughout the entire jungle of Thiya. The Red Sash pirates finally left the Island Stuck in the Sky. Taking the Gondola back down to where the Talomayz city once stood, where now only a few outposts for upkeep of the forest for future tournaments lay.
