Chapter 226 - Morning Routines

A Day Passed, Moving The crew to the third day that they'd been waiting for, The Crew was out of the Bay from Jaya Vanem, The Horizons Palms Gently idle in the crystal blue waters.

The crew was currently in the process of waking up. Kále waking up first, resting on the deck, Dezzi near them as they had been awake all night. An non-issue for the mink, having gotten use to only sleeping for a few hours every few days. But having company in bed was enough for them.

Kále was currently Cross legged, honing the blade of VI with the kit he was gifted from King Ramze. This is how he spent his mornings, routinely cleaning and checking his blades before getting to his morning work out.

As For Dezzi, they'd been in the Galley messing with the same mixture they'd been attempting at since they joined the crew. Recently they thought that they'd came to a breakthrough, and was now attempting to properly bottle the concoction into small vials, a bluish green mix swirled and turned to a turquoise hue.

Noir was the Next to awake, sifting out of bed he slipped on his clog, made of leather and fur on the inside to slip in easily. The room was dark still, only small columns of light peaked in through the wood as the sun rose in the early morning.

His footsteps were quiet as he walked over to the dresser and opened his drawer, and pulled a powder blue pencil striped shirt and a black pants, a deep blue tie, and a light tan belt with a golden buckle. He knew he could be decently loud, he wasn't going to Wake Raven, Kirk, Jeanne, and certainly not Leroy. So as he set up the small board, and pulled an iron. Today he wasn't going to heat it.

The Process was one he took pride in, ironing his clothes free of wrinkles, and showing the care he put into his attire. And with them done, he slipped the shirt on, tucked it into the pants, and buckled the belt.

In his drawer, he pulled a box out. A collection of cufflinks and tie accessories. He picked out a nice golden tie clip, and decided to go with the custom Rose Arbor Cufflinks that Chef Ducase had gotten him one year. The top view of a full bloom rose, with a fork and knife crossing behind it.

Next step before he even thought about getting in the Galley and cooking was getting his shoes ready. Today he decides to go with a pair of deep brown Wingtip shoes, he'd unlace them, brush them, polish them and then relace them before slipping them on, fitting like a glove.

And Finally he Styled his hair by taking a few fingers of pomade, and messing with his hair, giving it a messy waved feel. Relaxed, but styled.

Grabbing his pack of Northwind Cigarettes, and popping one, flicking his silver and gold engraved lighter and making his way to the Galley

As Noir worked in the Kitchen. Raven woke up to do her own Morning routine, standing from her bottom bunk, she removed her Sleep mask, and set it on the nightstand. She then used the bristle brush to rein in the wild bed head that she could become susceptible to, and pulled it into a mid ponytail, letting some hair hang at the sides of her face while she got ready.

She slipped into a Pair of Form fitting black pants, with stylish holes in them, pulled on a black laced bra, and then slip on a partial cropped, low cut, short sleeve knit sweater, black and gray stripes going from end to end. She then slipped on a ankle wrapped light colored sandal grabbed a few things, namely, the Journal From Lantis, and climbing the main mast and setting at the small table where she normally would. Cracking open the Book.

Kirk followed Raven soon after, though he certainly fought against having to get up at first. Unfurling from his giant stack of blankets, he swung his feet off of the bed and finally started to accept the morning, stretching with a deep groan and yawn.

Groggily and half awake, he moved to the bathroom, making himself presentable as he brushed his teeth and combed his hair back to calm anything wild. After everything looked perfect enough to his standards, he moved onto changing. Off went the cozy t-shirt and shorts and on went an unbuttoned, thin, Hawaiian shirt decorated with little clouds and khaki colored shorts. Adding on a very simple silver necklace, he was satisfied. He slipped on his pair of white sandals as he walked out, heading out onto the deck.

He walked up to the Quarter deck and enjoyed the morning breeze brushing past his skin. He leaned against the railing, quiet and just enjoying his morning. It seemed to be decent weather too. Perfect time for Kirk to get to watering his garden.

Jeanne was the second to last to wake. She wanted first look at the journal of Lantis the night prior, and had been copying notes over about various things involving the sky island they might need to know.

Her curiosity was more out of trying to figure out how to safely navigate to a Sky Island. She had wanted to spend all night compiling notes to a digestible format for Kirk to read. Unfortunately she had no luck finding any such information. Seems they were flying in blind.

Unlike the rest of the crew though she napped in the crow's nest last night. As she slowly climbed down the hempen rope latter back down to the deck. She waved at Kirk, sleep deprivation apparent in her eyes.

"Tea first... then talk...", she would say to Kirk in passing as she made her way to the Galley. Hoping Noir would be her savior for some non bean caffeine.

As Jeanne walked into the Kitchen, Noir was in the midst of prep for the coming weeks, Chopping up fruit and Jarring them, Ready for them to Jelly, Storing Dough in containers to rise to make Bread, Bagels, and Buns, he was also amidst all of this getting the fresh Produce from the Raid on The Freak Pirate's Ship. Onions, Corn, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Flour. It was all from quite decent sources. Agricultural Islands that specialize in farming the best of Produce and Shipping them to other Islands. These Islands do what they do not just because it's a part of their culture, but because they enjoy its fruits.

"Thought I heard you up." Noir said as he placed some dressed meat into the Ice Box, Washed his hands, dried, and rolled his sleeves back down. "The Usual?"

Resting her head on the table she raised a lazy hand "The Usual…"

Noir Opened a Cabinet and Pulled out the ingredients to make White Tea. And within a few minutes, the mixture was ready to be poured. Setting a plate down, and a cup atop it, he poured the steaming hot mixture for the Woman. Before pushing the plate forward to here "Here you are my dear."

"Ah~" She exhaled, picking up the warm cup. "You're a life-saver…"

Taking a sip from the cup she felt the White Tea wash across her palette when Noir spoke up "So, How's it coming with that old guy's journal?"

As the two spoke, Dezzi hopped from the chair they sat on and up onto the counter. Noir handing them their own cup of Green Tea as he turned to face Jeanne

"Decently…A lot of it isn't related to the Jet Stream Current that he told Leroy about. Only a single page! And a few others about what kind of clouds the Sky Islands are on, but nothing about what could be found!"

Cumulofirmianimbus, Cirrostratus Mare, A lot of Terminology behind them. The most Navigation that she was able to look through and Discuss with Raven was that the Clouds only moved a couple hundred meters every few years.

Half an Hour passed, and Eventually, Jeanne felt ready for the Day and Stepped back out onto the deck. Raven and Kirk were at the table together, discussing, and at the Steamy woman's appearance Raven took notice. "Ah- Jeanne. Come." Raven spoke with reading glasses on the tip of her nose

"We've found a bit more Material with Lantis' Journal."

"Oh! Sweet." The Markswoman said, sliding into the chair.

"And I think I know how to find it." Kirk added on.

Kirk slid around the Journal and tapped at a Diagram, an image of a stretch of sea, with water bubbling and swirling around, almost like the beginnings of a Maelstrom, before spewing high up into the air and piercing a drawing of clouds. A small arrow pointed to the stream 'Jet Stream Current'

Other arrows pointed to the Water Saying 'Water Released from Volcanic Fault beneath the Surface Floor, Heating the Water, before the Sea Floor Erupts and Spews the Jet Stream with Extreme Force.

Another Small note on the Page next to it, one that wasn't caught amidst the night scouring of the Journal for the First time. 'Jet Stream course of action is to take stream after initial Eruption' and 'High Risk of Damage to vessel' Which had been underlined many times. An assortment of others with questions from 'Does Debris From the Journey Get Stuck in the White Sea? How much? How long?' and an interesting one was 'Do Jet Stream Near one another? Near Jaya Vanem, It's said a Stream has Occurred for decades but seems to have moved. Perhaps volcanic activity is different pockets?'

"Seems like we just need to find a section of sea, And if I'm correct the Cirrostratus Mare Clouds are just a Few Kilometers away, Especially if the Diagrams are right. So best make our way there" Kirk said with keen expertise.

"Should we Wait for Leroy?" Raven questioned.

"Nah, He'll probably be asleep for another hour or two. Speaking of, Kirk, Raven, Does the Journal say anything about when it may happen that I may have missed?"
