The clicking of the pen echoed in the room. There was a small pot near the window, bloomed with pink flowers, A yellow cushioned chair near a small coffee table.

"Sam?" My head jerked up. I was pulled out of the trance into the real world when I heard her voice. "You alright?"
"Yeah. I am good." I placed the pen next to the notepad.
"Did you hear what I just asked?"
"Sorry," I looked at her. She had big glasses with black frames matching her shirt, her ash blonde hair tied up to a bun yet some stands dangling on to her face. She had a book in her hand.
"I asked, when was the first time you have had those episodes?" She asked, her voice calm and soothing.
"I don't know. It just latched itself to my memories that now I can't quite figure out what all were real and what all were made up by my mind." I exhaled deeply.
She nodded lightly as she wrote down something in her book. She looked at the time and then turned to me.
"I think we can call it a day." She gave me a warm smile. "See you in Thursday. Same time." I nodded and got up.
A month have passed. Shade Left for Paris two days after I got discharged. Alex is now a daily visitor at home that now she has her own room there.
Skyler has been silent since the whole incident. We never got a chance to talk after everything.
Arjun is still in the hospital, sleeping. The doctor says that he is out of danger, just sleeping for now. His mother, poor woman, not a day goes by without her sheding tears. He was all she had and now he is in the middle of life and death.
Chief said that I could join back to work after I have recovered. He told me to take my time.
I walked to the park and sat on a bench watching the people around me. They all looked so happy. A couple was sitting near the pond with icecream, A small boy running with his small white puppy around his parents. They all looked happy.
My eyes sting. My life had been anything but happy. I wished I was that girl holding the ice-cream, smiling, talking to her partner. I wish I was the little boy, running happily knowing his parents are with him.
Then someone put a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see, Gwen. "Where have you been?" that was the first thing she asked on seeing me. Fair enough as I haven't meet her after the whole Salt Lake thing.
"I'm so sorry girl. When duty calls." I hugged her. "How is it going on with Adrien?"
"Adrien? What do you mean?" She looked confused.
"You guys talked in the Salt Lake—,"
"About you." I was about to reply when she stopped me. "If you are going to ask about the flowers he gave, he actually bought it for you. Guess you were there watching it after all."
"Um... awkward, anyways me? Why?" now I was the one who was confused. "He said he wanted to see you."
"He wanted to apologize to me and wanted to know if I will hate him," she took a deep breath and said something that shook me whole. "If he dated my friend… you." I blinked like crazy and she laughed. "He liked you, liked the way you always tried crazy silly excuses to talk to him, the way you care for everyone."
"But he hated me before and recently found out I didn't cause your breakup." That doesn't make sense as he clearly hated me and how could he possibly love someone he hates.
"Recently? No. He once came to me after the prom and told me how you caused our breakup blah blah" she giggled. "After knowing that Jezelle told him those things, I filled him up with why we broke up and how you were never involved in the whole mess." She put a hand on my shoulder. "After a few days of cooling his head down he had come to see you in London."
"But he said, he came because Alex went to see him,"
"I don't know if Alex did went to see him or he used her as an excuse. But he opened up to me the day at the Salt Lake. When you told him you would help him at the party." She walked a little back then her hazel eyes burned into mine slapping me to connect everything which I never knew. "He already had a small crush on you back then which was crushed by Jezelle. And the day at the party you made him fall all over again girl."
"He liked me?" I mumbled. "But Gwen, I don't feel the same way anymore. My feelings changed" I could feel the tears coming back. "I don't know what to do anymore. I feel so--- lost."
"It's alright, I get it." She patted on my shoulder. "Don't feel bad about anything, He should've reached out sooner." Her bright copper hair flew with the wind. Her hazel green eyes met with mine. "Don't you dare overthink?" I nodded, she cracked a smile. "Wanna grab a drink?"
"Sorry?" The tears were almost about to spill. "Sorry, next time? Have to go somewhere."
Her eyes then fell on the scar on my forehead. "What happened?" she asked in a hushed voice as she put a hand on my arm.
"Oh, no nothing." I looked up trying to make the tears go back and not fall. "I am fine. I really need to go now." She just nodded. I left the park, I could feel her watching me leave.
