Mi Yao stirred slightly, realizing she was not bound but seated on a soft sofa. She turned her head to look around; the room resembled a… study room, adorned in low-key yet classy black and white decor, yet there was an underlying hint of coldness. It was daytime, the sunlight outside was dazzling, yet with the curtains drawn, no light could enter, giving the study a sense of oppression and eeriness.

Just then, the study door creaked open.
Mi Yao turned her head quickly to look. Standing beside the door was a tall and handsome figure she recognized; it was… Zhou Jin, whom she hadn't seen for three years.
"Is it you?" she exclaimed in shock, astonished.
Zhou Jin strode in with his long legs, dressed today in a casual grey thin-knit sweater and black trousers. His ink-colored eyes glanced at the woman through his rimless glasses as he spoke indifferently, "Mi Yao, it's been a long time."
