"Are you okay?"
Francis hurried over to Alan's side, repeating the very words Alan had used to check on him earlier.
Alan didn't answer. Instead, he dismissed both Lumen Sancta and his elemental swords, his expression dark and solemn. He scanned the surroundings, his gaze eventually locking onto the treetop of a nearby tree.
After a few moments, a man wearing an emerald green robe descended slowly from the branches. His eyes fixed unwaveringly on Alan, and his lips moved as if muttering to himself.
"A magus who's mastered all six elements, and hasn't neglected physical training either… Fascinating. Truly fascinating."
Alan shot him a cold glare but didn't bother responding. Instead, he took a deep breath and directly blinked to Isabella's side.
She was in a deep coma. No matter how loudly Alan called her name, she remained unresponsive.
Her lips—and the blood vessels spreading across her skin—had turned a disturbingly unhealthy shade of purplish black.
