Was this trait useful?
Certainly.
Having more luck, even if its effects weren't noticeable in daily life, wasn't a bad deal for Michael. What was bad, in his opinion, was the active effect of the Trait.
"It would have been great if you just had a passive effect. Isn't this forcing me to remember I have you and almost never forget?"
Michael rubbed his temples, a slightly worried expression appearing on his face.
The active effect of the Trait was clearly a trap. If Michael ever needed to deliberately improve his luck, it would most likely be during a life-threatening situation. In that case, whatever bad luck followed might very well threaten his life too.
"But hey, at least you'd live to see another day, right?"
Michael shook his head and stopped worrying about the Trait. He hoped he wouldn't need to use it in the future, and if he ever did, it would only be for minor situations.
Without wasting time, Michael brought out his last reward from his storage space.
