Chapter 371 - Chapter 370: The Origin!

After receiving Tokoyami's promise, Kaminari walked down the mountain in a good mood. If nothing else, once he formed a team or organization in the future, Tokoyami Fumikage would definitely be a strong asset.

But thinking back to the scene just now, his thoughts drifted to Kimimaro and Jugo. Honestly, they were kind of similar.

Along the way, he passed Koda Koji shouting repeatedly on the side of the mountain, Iida Tenya running laps at high speed, Asui Tsuyu scaling a cliff with her long tongue, and others shouting in the distance while laser beams shot skyward.

Everyone was giving their all. Everyone was working hard. Every one of their hearts burned with a flame called "Hero," and they were all chasing after the words "Plus Ultra!"

This was a group of teenagers chasing their dreams. Whether or not their original reason for becoming Heroes was rooted in true justice, they were walking the path of becoming Heroes now.

"Kaminari, why are you down here?"

As soon as Kaminari reached the bottom of the mountain, Momo, who was sitting at the training table not far away, saw him and immediately paused from eating her cream cake.

Sitting next to her was Sato Rikido, originally from Class A, now training with Class B due to Tetsutetsu's rearrangement.

"I've said it before, your training looks way too comfortable!" Kaminari approached with a grin.

"It only looks comfortable. Eating cake while activating my Quirk is actually really mentally exhausting. It's not physically tiring, but it's definitely draining," Momo replied as she took another bite of cake. At the same time, her right arm glowed pink, and a small Pikachu figurine appeared out of thin air.

"Okay then..." Kaminari looked at the table filled with cakes and Pikachu figurines and let out a helpless chuckle. He really didn't know what to say.

As for Sato Rikido, his Quirk was Sugar Rush. While sugar gave him a fivefold strength boost in the short term, it also caused issues with his brain function once the effect wore off.

Well, it was kind of like his brain short-circuited. For some reason, Kaminari always looked at Sato with a certain level of sympathy.

"So, what are you doing down here?"

"Oh, right, I need to ask the American Shorthair Cat something. Keep working hard," Kaminari waved to Momo and walked away.

"Don't slack off!"

"That goes for the rest of you too. No dawdling, and no matter what you're doing, don't forget your origin."

"That's what growth is about. Always remember why you're here sweating, and why you're letting me train you."

As Kaminari approached the clearing, he heard Aizawa speaking on the hillside. His voice wasn't loud or dramatic, but every word hit with weight, making many students fall into thought.

"Origin..." Bakugo Katsuki muttered.

"Origin..." Todoroki Shoto echoed.

"Origin..." Midoriya Izuku whispered.

Kaminari Denki paused, thinking to himself, "Origin... what is my origin? Why did I start training in the first place?"

He thought back.

The image in his mind was from when he was six, sitting on his mother's lap, looking at the computer screen after arriving in this world.

That was the moment he realized this wasn't the Marvel universe like he had imagined. There was no Spider-Man or Iron Man here.

At that time, he believed that even if someone like him, a loser, traveled through time, he'd probably still be a loser. After all, his lazy nature wasn't likely to change just because of time travel.

But nothing in the world is absolute. Even if 90 out of 100 transmigrators stayed the same, there were always those 10 who pushed to change.

Because… they wanted to rewrite their fate. They didn't want to stay the same. Kaminari wanted to be one of those ten.

He wanted to make his life extraordinary.

"This is my origin..." Kaminari murmured inwardly.

"Kaminari, what are you doing here?"

Suddenly, a shadow fell over him. Aizawa's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. Kaminari looked up and met his teacher's serious eyes.

"Well, I was taking a short break and came down to ask the American Shorthair Cat something about Quirks," Kaminari explained quickly.

"Is it about body temperature?" Aizawa asked.

"Yes. So it's not laziness. I'm just making the most of my rest period!" Kaminari responded.

"Fine. Go ahead."

With his teacher's approval, Kaminari headed toward the truck where Pixie-Bob was stationed. Several large cardboard boxes were stacked there.

They were filled with Pikachu figurines made by Momo. To avoid polluting the environment and with plans for reuse, the figures were being gathered and prepared to be donated to orphanages around the world.

In this world, with Quirks occasionally going out of control, the orphan rate was much higher than in the previous life's normal society.

The key was, many of the orphans here had lost their parents due to their own Quirks. Do you understand what that means?

So a lot of them struggled mentally and emotionally.

"Niegao, niegao, niegao..."

Pixie-Bob, dressed in her blue outfit, sat on a box, laughing in a tone that mimicked a cat, and waved cheerfully.

"Alright everyone, we're going to have a class competition tonight. It's also a courage test!"

"After intense training, you need a chance to relax. This is what we call 'sugar and whip'!"

Kendo Itsuka sighed, "A courage test... I hate horror-themed stuff like that."

"Same here..." Kyoka muttered.

"I love the competitive part!" Monoma Neito grinned.

Elsewhere, Kaminari approached Pixie-Bob and asked quietly, "Can I ask you something?"

"A question?" Pixie-Bob blinked, then glanced at Kaminari's head to toe and suddenly put on a shy act, teasing, "You're not gonna ask my measurements, are you?"

"..."

Kaminari was speechless, stunned by how shameless her reply was.

"Wait... am I being hit on by an older woman?"

Of course, he didn't say that aloud. He didn't want to cause any unnecessary trouble—he was here to ask a serious question.

"Alright, alright. What do you want to know?"

"Phew."

Seeing her shift back to normal, Kaminari let out a breath and smiled. "I want to ask how you manage to control your Quirk creations in real time when they're out of your line of sight?"

"Put simply..." Pixie-Bob crossed her legs and muttered, "Kids these days talk like grown-ups..."

"Like, how did you control that earth monster in the forest remotely? You shouldn't have been able to see it, right?" Kaminari scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"Oh, that? That's easy," Pixie-Bob said as she pointed to the goggles on her face.

"These are called Special Environment Rescue Eyepieces. They transmit real-time images and data via satellite to the lenses. You can see through obstacles too."

She continued, "But they're only usable in remote areas like forests, mountains, or snowy terrain. They can't be used in cities. When you use them, you have to submit your location and objective."

When she mentioned the city restriction, Kaminari frowned. "Where can I buy these eyepieces?"

"You have to apply through the Hero Network, and there's a monthly fee. Only Pro Heroes with a license can apply." Pixie-Bob grinned.

"I see..."

Kaminari nodded thoughtfully. It looked like he needed to consider other methods. He had assumed it was some kind of Quirk technique, but it turned out to be support equipment. He'd have to talk to Dr. Pegasus about it later.

"If I can't use it in the city, how am I supposed to make this work..."
