Lucian immediately moved everyone out of the way to avoid the blast of light. His shield shattered into pieces and honestly, if he had been just a few seconds slower, they all might've been reduced to ash.
"I WANT TO GO HOME!" Finn screamed, his eyes wide with panic as he watched the light tear through everything in its path.
Medeia clicked her tongue in annoyance. "If you can't keep your mouth shut, I'll sew it closed myself!"
Naomi sighed. "Oh, don't be so harsh on your brother. He's just scared and in pain."
To be fair, Medeia had almost forgotten that she once told the old scientists that Finn was her little brother.
Speaking of those scientists … why had they been so quiet this whole time? Were they too shocked to realize that something this big had been moving right beneath them for days?
Medeia was about to call out to them when the giant worm suddenly made another move.
