As Chris approached the ancient mansion, several Fang family disciples emerged to intercept him.
However, after he displayed the compass that had guided his journey, they immediately stepped aside and escorted him directly to the secret realm's entrance—a glowing spatial fissure in the mountainside.
At the crack's threshold, a seventy-year-old man with snow-white hair sat cross-legged beside an equally aged Lucario.
They appeared to be the guardians of this mysterious realm.
From the Aura power that Lucario unconsciously emanated, Chris could roughly estimate its combat strength.
At minimum, this was an Elite-level Pokémon!
Chris's arrival didn't disturb the elderly guardian or his Lucario companion, so he proceeded to walk through the spatial crack on his own.
Even standing at the entrance, Chris could feel waves of Aura power washing over him.
No wonder his teacher and senior brother had specifically recommended that he practice Aura manipulation independently.
Even without entering the realm, sitting at this crack's entrance like the Fang family elder would provide incredible training benefits—easily doubling normal practice efficiency!
Upon stepping through the fissure, the surrounding landscape transformed completely.
Though still nighttime, Chris found himself transported from a mountain peak into a lush forest setting.
Thanks to the Eye technique he had mastered, the darkness posed no obstacle to his vision.
He stood in a small valley surrounded by dense woodland. Occasional breezes caused the emerald forest to sway in unison, creating an ocean of living green.
Within this forest ocean, countless Pokémon species made their homes, creating a vibrantly alive ecosystem.
What captured Chris's attention most, however, was the Aura power saturating the air—so concentrated it seemed almost solid.
"What an incredible location! Training Aura power here for one day equals a month of outside practice!" Chris marveled, quickly releasing the Pokémon capable of manipulating Aura energy.
Since the Aura Secret Realm only appeared for limited periods, he couldn't afford to waste precious time. Missing even one day of practice here equated to losing a month of typical training!
Fortunately, he had rushed here without delay.
Those trainers who chose to rest at the transfer station would likely feel deep regret upon reaching the Aura Secret Realm and realizing what they had missed.
Even rest periods would be better spent within this Aura-rich environment.
As the gentlest form of energy, this atmosphere would naturally improve the physical condition of both trainers and Pokémon, regardless of their Aura sensitivity or talent.
"It's quite late tonight. Let's rest first and begin serious Aura absorption tomorrow morning," Chris decided.
Before him, Greninja, Lucario, Blaziken, Vigoroth, and Arcanine arranged themselves in a line, immersing themselves in the ocean of Aura power.
Like parched earth receiving rainfall from heaven, they frantically absorbed the nourishing Aura energy permeating the air.
Training here, Greninja could form Aura Spheres at one-fifth its usual speed!
Chris felt confident that mastering Aura-type moves wouldn't take much longer.
Among Chris's recently captured Pokémon, Arcanine also demonstrated natural Aura manipulation talent.
"Gardevoir, if you please!" Chris retrieved another Poké Ball and released his Psychic-type partner.
Gardevoir appeared and used Teleport to transport Chris and all his Pokémon to a secluded valley several hundred meters from the entry point. Using the valley's rock wall as a foundation, they opened a secret base with Secret Power.
While Chris prepared for rest, his five Pokémon quietly continued practicing Aura techniques within the secret base.
Since the base was constructed inside the secret realm, the Aura power concentration within matched the realm's normal levels.
One night of practice passed in peaceful silence.
The following morning, Chris awakened early.
His Pokémon continued their Aura training, with even the typically mischievous Lucario seriously absorbing the energy.
As for Vigoroth... after being "calmed" by soothing artwork therapy, it had completely lost its Vital Spirit ability and hyperactive nature, becoming much more focused during training sessions!
Chris prepared breakfast and practiced Aura Sphere formation while eating.
Though the tri-colored orb provided external power enhancement, Aura represented his personal energy source. Training this ability would amplify the orb's effectiveness as well.
After finishing breakfast and practicing for approximately one hour, he departed the secret base.
This wasn't due to training boredom, but because he had other important objectives.
"When exploring a new area, what's the first priority?" Chris asked himself aloud.
"Treasure hunting!" He retrieved his treasure detector device.
The Aura Secret Realm possessed such intense Aura concentration for specific reasons.
Such a unique location undoubtedly contained valuable items—possibly even legendary Pokémon artifacts that Chris hoped to discover.
The treasure detector immediately began deflecting, locking onto a target signal as steady as iron, pointing unwaveringly in one direction.
"Excellent! There really are legendary Pokémon items here!" Chris's eyes brightened with excitement as he gestured for Gardevoir to teleport him toward the detected treasure.
While traveling on Arcanine would normally be preferable, his Fire-type was currently deep in training. Switching to Tyrantrum or Salamence would create too much commotion.
In an area this dense with Aura power, powerful wild Pokémon certainly resided here.
Since he had entered primarily for training purposes, with treasure hunting as a secondary goal, he preferred avoiding confrontation with overly dangerous Pokémon.
"Nai~" Gardevoir used Psychic energy to lift both itself and Chris simultaneously.
The trainer and Pokémon flew swiftly through the air, following the treasure detector's directional guidance.
Their forms darted between trees and forest clearings.
Eventually, Chris activated the "Jade Orb's" power to practice aerial adaptation techniques, preparing for future Flying-type Pokémon encounters.
After flying approximately one kilometer, Chris suddenly encountered what felt like an invisible barrier.
Despite the vast forest stretching ahead visually, he couldn't advance another step forward.
"Could this be the secret realm's boundary?" Chris wondered, having never encountered such a phenomenon in previous explorations.
However, Chris soon discovered that moving along this invisible wall followed a curved rather than straight path. The treasure detector in his hand gradually shifted direction as he traveled.
After flying for over an hour, Chris returned to his original contact point with the invisible barrier.
"A complete circle?" Chris reflected on his circular journey around the mysterious obstruction.
This wasn't the secret realm's boundary, but rather an invisible protective barrier shielding something valuable within.
The treasure detector's deflection indicated that his target lay protected behind this invisible shield!
