Chapter 694 - Critical Attack from a Mother

At Konoha Hospital.

After parting with Sasuke, Hinata, now a wife, hurriedly brought her daughter Himawari to the hospital. She saw the unconscious Boruto and Sarada.

Sarada's injuries weren't too severe, and she hadn't overexerted her mind, so after treatment, she woke up first. Upon regaining consciousness, Sarada immediately saw Hinata and her daughter visiting, along with her mother, Sakura, sleeping on the bed to her right.

"Aunt Hinata? What's wrong with me? Mom?"

Hinata gently stroked Sarada's head, calming her: "It's alright. You're in the hospital; you're all back. Your mom is just a bit exhausted and asleep, nothing serious…"

Sarada sighed in relief. Her memories were stuck at the moment she was gravely injured and passed out in another dimension due to the young Juubi, unaware of what happened next. But returning to Konoha and seeing familiar loved ones naturally made Sarada feel much calmer.

"What about Boruto? What's wrong with him? Is he okay?" Sarada immediately asked about Boruto, clearly very worried about him.

"Boruto's not in danger; he's resting in the next room. Mitsuki and Sumire are looking after him, so don't worry." Hinata said with a faint smile.

As someone with long experience in unrequited love, she had sensed Sarada's subtle feelings for Boruto but didn't point it out.

She wouldn't meddle carelessly in the children's affairs. But if Sarada could truly be with Boruto, Hinata would wholeheartedly support it.

If the Uzumaki and Uchiha families could unite, Naruto might laugh in his dreams, and she wouldn't have to worry about that Uchiha succubus, Sasuke, constantly charming Naruto every day.

It would truly be a double win, two joys in one family!

"Thank goodness Boruto's okay!"

"Sorry, Aunt Hinata, we couldn't save the Seventh Hokage…"

Knowing Boruto was fine, Sarada finally felt relieved. But then she began blaming herself, regretting that they couldn't save Naruto and had instead been gravely injured.

"Don't blame yourselves, as long as you're all okay."

"Naruto will be fine, trust them!"

"And Sasuke-kun has already defeated the enemy; he might rescue Naruto soon."

Hinata had full confidence in Naruto and Sasuke, especially after seeing Sasuke with his new Six Paths "skin." which made him even stronger. No enemy could defeat them when united!

"Dad?"

"Dad's back? When?"

Sarada was surprised and delighted. Compared to Naruto, who was in the village every day, her father, Sasuke, rarely came home over the years, making it hard for Sarada to even see him.

Why was that rascal Boruto still rebelling? She herself wanted to see her dad and rebel but never got the chance. At this moment, Sarada seemed to guess why her mom had fainted—perhaps she was too enchanted by her dad, right? After all, there was precedent…

"Sasuke-kun is handling matters with Uncle Shikamaru and the others; he'll probably come see you soon, so don't worry."

"I understand."

Sarada was very understanding. Compared to the spoiled Boruto, she had clearly matured faster.

"Um, I think I've recovered enough. Can I go next door to see Boruto now?" Sarada prepared to get up to check on Boruto.

"No, you need to rest now, wait…" Hinata held Sarada back, urging her not to rush and to rest for her body to recover.

But before she could finish, the wave of Omnipotence, which had manipulated everyone's memories worldwide, struck, leaving Hinata stunned, her consciousness chaotic as she froze in place.

"Aunt Hinata, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Sarada, puzzled by Hinata's frozen state, quickly asked.

"I… I'm fine." Hinata regained awareness, but her memories had been completely manipulated.

"Aunt Hinata, let me go see Boruto. I'll just take a quick look and come back."

"Boruto? Otsutsuki Boruto? Why are you looking for that enemy? Hasn't he already fled?"

Hinata's face showed deep disgust and hatred, clearly despising the father-and-son duo of Otsutsuki Naruto and Boruto, who had killed Uzumaki Jigen.

"Huh? Otsutsuki Boruto? Enemy? Aunt Hinata, what are you talking about? Boruto isn't…"

Sarada was confused, unable to comprehend Hinata's words. Her memories weren't manipulated, completely misaligned with Hinata's distorted ones.

BOOM!

Suddenly, a loud sound of combat came from the next room. The next second, the wall collapsed, revealing the scene in the adjacent room.

An enraged Mitsuki was fiercely fighting Sumire. One wanted to kill the "evil Otsutsuki Boruto." while the other aimed to protect the Uzumaki Boruto she admired.

At this moment, Omnipotence had activated, manipulating everyone's memories.

In Mitsuki's memories, the Boruto he was supposed to protect had been replaced with Uzumaki Code, and the Boruto before him was one of Uzumaki Jigen's killers. For Konoha's sake, this evil enemy had to be eliminated!

Meanwhile, Sumire and Sarada were unaffected by Omnipotence, their memories undistorted. So, Sumire didn't know why Mitsuki suddenly wanted to kill Boruto but instinctively chose to stop him, engaging in a fierce fight.

"Mitsuki, have you gone mad? Why are you attacking Boruto?"

"Sumire, what are you doing? Why are you protecting this enemy?"

The two faced off, attacking and questioning each other, each believing the other had lost their mind.

Various Suiton, Fūton, and Raiton jutsu clashed, destroying the entire hospital room.

This was the inevitable conflict caused by differing memories—everyone believed their memories were the most reliable and complete, using them as the basis for their subjective actions.

"Stop, what are you doing?!"

Sarada, witnessing this, hurriedly shouted to stop them. But the two across the room didn't relent.

"Quick, Sarada, kill Boruto!"

"Sarada, help me subdue the crazed Mitsuki!"

They fought while calling for Sarada's help.

If Sarada joined either side, that side would gain an immediate advantage.

Of course, this was because Mitsuki and Sumire didn't want to harm each other. Otherwise, if both unleashed their full power with lethal attacks, the battle's intensity wouldn't be like this.

"You guys…"

Sarada was utterly stunned, unsure whether Mitsuki or Sumire had gone mad. But she certainly wouldn't sit by and watch Mitsuki hurt Boruto.

Just then, Boruto, dazed, was awakened by the intense combat sounds. Completely confused about what was happening, upon opening his eyes, he saw Mitsuki and Sumire fighting fiercely, even wondering if he was dreaming.

Mitsuki was one of his most trusted friends, and Sumire was his kindest friend. How could they be fighting?

And Mitsuki seemed to be shouting about killing him, while Sumire was trying to stop him?

What was going on?

Impossible! He must be dreaming—this had to be a dream!

In his confusion, Boruto saw Sarada in the next room and wanted to call out to her to ask what was happening. But a deadly killing aura suddenly erupted at the back of his head.

Then, he saw an all-too-familiar figure charging forward with Jūho Sōshiken (Gentle Fist Twin Lion Fists), launching a strike.

"Mom?!?!"
