Kakashi paused for a moment. The voices of the Kirigakure ninjas discussing their plans shook Kakashi's heart.
Kakashi's Sharingan eyes spun sharply with repressed anger, staring at the remaining seven Kirigakure ninjas. Kakashi's gaze pierced like a knife, making the air around them feel increasingly tense.
"What did you just say?" Kakashi asked in a low, yet threatening voice.
One of the Kirigakure ninjas panicked and shouted, "Damn! It's the Sharingan! Don't look into that boy's eyes!"
But the warning came too late. Some ninjas were already trapped in Kakashi's Genjutsu, their eyes instantly vacant, their voices turning monotonous.
"Tell me!" Kakashi shouted, his tone turning cold and firm. "What are you doing?!"
One of the ninjas affected by the Sharingan began to speak uncontrollably. "We... we planned to kidnap your friend... using the girl as a vessel for Sanbi... Then send the girl back to Konoha... so that Sanbi would rampage and destroy the village..."
Kakashi fell silent for a moment. The words hit him like a hammer.
