Chapter 5 - Executioner.

[This is a sub-chapter, so the word count is definitely going to be low.]

"— A demigod, a being born with partial or less of a Divine status, such as a minor deity. The offspring of a god and a mortal, or a mortal raised in divine rank.

You decide—"

–Dax. Canadian-Nigerian Rapper.

Ikemefuna had a rather peculiar dream.

He couldn't tell if this was supposed to be normality for him, or if indeed it was strange and happened uncommonly.

Though it couldn't be called a dream, it was something more of a nightmare:

It was a deadly stampede, a rush for survival; Men, women, children, livestocks, they all ran for their lives.

Folks of the mortal realm and the minorities of the Supernatural all ran, looking and searching heedlessly for safety.

 It was coming.

Speaking accurately; 'It' was not an 'It'. it was a he. The rogue lightning demigod, The Executioner.

His coming had been heralded by the beats of unseen drums. War drums. They echoed fiercly throughout the land.

He was tall, with ginger colored skin, he had neat tied up black hair and an eeriely wide grin on his face.

Though the most prominent feature about him was that: He rode a lightning bolt.

He zipped through the sky like a true deity. On his feet lay a large circular plate constructed from a large, blue, destructive lightning bolt.

While he balanced on both hands; long, golden, spear like lightning bolts, which he fired in tandem, at will, to the earth far beneath him.

He laughed merrily, "So much fun", he hummed.

The sound of his laughter was demonic, loud an threatening that it reached the ends of the 'earth', causing chill shivers of fear tor un rampant in the minds of all those who heard it.

'The Herald of death'. That was his infamous title, most used among others, known through out the Pan-Kingdom.

He was known for his mercilessness. Taking the life of children, parents, the aged, and petty livestock; without batting an eye.

When he was on a rampage there was no stopping him. No one would; no one could. The people had sinned; they knew.

The Earth goddess had failed to be cleansed of their abomination. The Sky god had failed to wreck havoc for their disgrace.

So, in their stead The Executioner, the demigod thought to be from the stem of The god of Lightning of law and of order, bane of crime and the bone of duty was sent.

To cleanse evil, one must be either of a stronger Good, or a greater, much darker evil, and to be willing to kill incessantly when called for.

It was his duty, one he carried with a smile; with joy.

"Whoa... I think I might be a workaholic"

Lightning bolt after Lightning bolt after Lightning bolt. He continued his onslaught upon the kingdom until there was nothing bur soot left.

That was when his wide smile faded, his face, once glistening with joy had turned into a mask of confusion.

"Why? Why? Why?"

He asked himself, his voice had contorted to a one of sorrow. And Ikem who had watched, wondering why he was witnessing this, had thought that the Executioner had turned repentant.

"No more lives to end, how pitiful" the demigod sobbed.

Ikem felt a gnawing feeling in his chest,

 That line

He wondered as his 'gaze' met those of the executioner, their eyes locked. A possibility that shouldn't have occured in a..... dream?.

The Executioner; staring at Ikem, let out a wide grin,; and raising his right hand, he waved.

He waved as if he was meeting a colleague from work.

"Oh. Hello"

Silence..

"Yeesh. Well then, I'm off!!" he said, and then, with a slight movement from his feet, he rode the lightning bolt into the horizon; far away from the destruction he had just caused.

"Bloody Psychopath" Ikemefuna murmured to the disappearing figure, "What a bloody psychopath"

Ikem felt the embers of his consciousness quickly fading away,

Ikemefuna asked himself, he had felt a sense of familiarity with the Executioner, he felt he knew him; the same same kind of ancient familiarity he got from the Chi,

He tried thinking, he tried remembering on where, but he couldn't get ahold of his thoughts.

Soon...

He blacked out.
