The Omega was on him in less than a second.
Asher barely leaned to the side before the claws sliced across where his chest had been. The air felt sharp as the strike passed by.
He tried to counter with a punch—
But the Omega didn't stop moving now.
It ducked under his punch and drove its fist straight into his ribs.
The hit was brutal.
Asher's body jerked sideways. He almost fell, but caught himself on one knee.
The Omega didn't give him a second.
It swung again—straight at his head.
Asher rolled forward, feeling the claws cut a line through his hair. He came up behind the Omega and tried to grab its waist again.
The machine twisted instantly.
Its elbow—its one good arm—slammed into his face.
Asher hit the ground flat on his back.
He gritted his teeth, forcing himself to roll away just as the Omega stabbed down. The claws punched a hole into the floor where his chest had been.
Asher got up, coughing.
"Fast… way too fast now…"
