The Blaziken's Blaze Kick, launched after accelerating, carried terrifying power. The attack sent the punk with the pompadour's Weezing flying over ten meters, crashing into several of his biker gang members behind him.

At the same time, a rumbling "Rumble~ Rumble~" came from behind Sato. A Golem, slightly smaller than average for its species, was rapidly rolling straight toward them.

Though smaller in size, this Golem was no less imposing—its momentum resembled that of a runaway truck barreling down a highway, making everyone who saw it instinctively shudder.

The biker gang members behind Sato felt their scalps tingle in fear. Anyone who claimed they weren't scared would be lying. They quickly scattered to both sides of the road, not daring to block its path.

However, Golem's speed was too great. Even though some of the bikers reacted fast, a few still failed to dodge in time and were violently knocked away—rider and bike together.

With Blaziken drawing everyone's attention at the front and Golem clearing a path from behind, Sato immediately realized that someone was helping him escape the gang's encirclement.

He turned his head and saw two young female Trainers racing toward him on mountain bikes.

When Sato caught sight of their faces, his heart settled. He pushed down on the pedals, skillfully maneuvering around the charging Golem and bursting free from the biker gang's formation.

"Thanks so much! If it weren't for you two, I'd probably have been caught by now!"

Sato pulled up beside the two girls, gratitude written all over his face.

"Pika, Pikachu~!"

The Pikachu perched on his shoulder chirped happily toward the two attractive young Trainers, its small eyes instantly turning into heart shapes.

"No need to thank us—it's what we should do," said the red-haired girl cheerfully. She was bright and lively by nature, speaking with casual ease.

The black-haired girl, on the other hand, was calm and reserved. She only nodded slightly at Sato, her eyes studying the unusually well-developed Pikachu on his shoulder. The intense scrutiny made Pikachu feel like a test subject in a lab, and it shivered nervously.

Seeing their contrasting personalities, Sato became even more certain of who they were.

Although their hairstyles and outfits were a little different from what he remembered, he recognized them immediately.

The cheerful red-haired girl was Flannery, the future Gym Leader of Lavaridge Town, and the quiet, composed black-haired girl was Roxanne, the future Gym Leader of Rustboro City.

It was obvious the two had known each other for a while and were traveling together.

"Damn it! Those two chicks are meddling in our business! Brothers, let's teach them a lesson—release your Pokémon and crush them!"

As Sato broke free, the pompadour-headed leader realized what had happened. Seeing his prey slip away made him furious. He didn't care that Blaziken was still giving him hell—he roared orders at his men.

The gang members calmed down when they saw that their opponents were just two young women. On this high-speed cycling route, as long as Officer Jenny didn't show up, they feared nothing.

"Muk, use Sludge Attack!"

"Electrike, use Spark!"

"Wingull, use Water Gun!"

Following their leader's command, they all released their Pokémon and began attacking Sato and the two girls.

"Hmph! A bunch of petty thugs terrorizing travelers—you're unlucky to have run into me today!" Flannery snapped. "Blaziken! Jump back and sweep them away with Flamethrower!"

"Come out, Torkoal! Magcargo! Assist Blaziken!''

Flannery wasn't just energetic—she was fiery and righteous to the core, having been raised in a family that despised injustice. Seeing the gang attack, her expression hardened and she shouted commands angrily.

Following her orders, Blaziken first sent a Poochyena flying with Fire Punch, then kicked off the ground and leapt high into the air. As it dodged incoming attacks, a thick pillar of fire erupted from its beak.

It swung its head side to side, and the blazing stream of fire transformed into a serpentine flame whip slithering across the field.

Meanwhile, Torkoal and Magcargo burst from their PokeBalls, each unleashing Flamethrower to merge their flames with Blaziken's fiery serpent.

In the next instant, the serpent transformed into a roaring fire dragon that charged straight into the biker gang's ranks, engulfing them and their Pokémon in intense heat.

Cries of pain and panic erupted as many of the bikers and their Pokémon were burned.

"Your turn, Nosepass! Use Rock Slide to form a barrier!"

"Golem! Roll into their formation and cause chaos!"

On the other side, the composed Roxanne—clearly trained and well-educated—remained calm in the face of their overwhelming numbers. She instantly determined her role and coordinated her Pokémon to support Flannery's offensive.

Nosepass emerged and used Rock Slide, raising massive boulders to form a sturdy rock wall in front of Blaziken, Torkoal, and Magcargo, blocking most of the enemies' attacks.

At the same time, under Roxanne's command, Golem tucked in and rolled straight into the largest cluster of bikers, scattering them like bowling pins. None dared to clash head-on with it, and the gang's formation collapsed in moments.

Most of the bikers' Pokémon were wild ones caught in nearby habitats—Muk, Electrike, Wingull, and the like. Almost all were unevolved and poorly trained, averaging only around level 25.

Flannery and Roxanne, however, both came from distinguished backgrounds. Every one of their Pokémon was at least level 35, and their main partners—Blaziken and Nosepass—were around level 40.

They had clearly been traveling together for quite some time, and their coordination in battle was flawless.

Under their seamless teamwork and precise commands, their Pokémon's combined strength grew exponentially, overwhelming the biker gang in a one-sided rout.

Sato, of course, didn't stand idly by. Though he ignored the small fry, he focused on the higher-level Pokémon among the gang, directing Pikachu to swiftly knock them out one by one with Thunderbolt.

To be honest, Flannery and Roxanne's victory went so smoothly largely thanks to Sato's support—something both girls quickly noticed.

As the battle went on, the two talented Trainers couldn't help but glance repeatedly at Sato, wondering who this mysterious Trainer—ambushed by the biker gang—really was.
