Chapter 104 - 104. Asuma Sarutobi!

If not for the fact that it got really awkward, she would have given in.

Shizune had rushed back home after the experience. Though it was hard for her to accept, the sensations in her body confirmed the head she had given.

She could still feel it in her mouth, the slight pain, the taste on her tongue.

Her intention was to just check on Reko because of the training they were going to have in two weeks. The schedule was already made and Lady Tsunade was aware of it.

'But why at that time? I have had a better opportunity in the hospital.'

She was kind of confused why it happened at that time. Surely, she could have controlled herself and prepared for a better approach.

'The big problem is the timing. I don't have much time before I would have to take part in their training. Just us four, Reko, Lady Tsunade, Sakura, and I.'

She could not believe that she would have to work together with Lady Tsunade to train Reko. Not after what she had just done. It would be embarrassing and awkward.

But it was already decided and she did not have the guts to go and confess to Tsunade. She could not just reveal that she had been attracted to Reko and did it without even dating.

'I should avoid him for the time being. I cannot let it develop like that with Momo.'

Deciding so, Shizune decided to avoid Reko for the time being. Perhaps the lack of interaction will allow the relationship between them to reset back.

She went back to the Hokage office as she kept thinking about these things. Her eyes wandered as she kept a lookout for Tsunade.

"So, this thing with our Sensei happened today. I am very sure that there is something going on between Kurenai Sensei and Reko but my teammates don't think so."

Kiba briefly narrated the incident with his own point of view.

"What do you think about it? Big sis"

Finally, he looked at his elder sister, Hana, who was listening to his reasoning. Since his teammates denied his theory, he went ahead and spilled it out to his sister in hopes that she would support him.

"From what you have described, there is indeed some evidence that there is something going between them."

Hana looked really serious as she contemplated and gave an answer to Kiba's liking.

"Righttt??"

Excited, Kiba laughed in triumph, stopping Hana mid sentence.

"But! The fact that they were only talking in soft voice is not much evidence to come to that conclusion.

If you had something concrete then it would be a whole different deal."

Hana did give it a thought, and it did not seem like an affair to her. Reko was learning from Kurenai, just like he learned from their mom. So, it was just a conversation between two high ranked shinobis, not flirting.

Though, it would be different if Kiba provided more evidence.

"Something concrete? Hmmm."

Kiba seemed to have understood Hana's words and began to recall.

"Right!! There was this weird smell. Didn't I say that I was able to smell a familiar kind of weird smell from Kurenai Sensei?

That was the first time I smelled something like that. Akamaru and I can recognise that scent."

He recalled the weird smell that he had pointed out to Kurenai. This was one important clue that he had forgotten to emphasize on.

"That scent? But it would be a lot of hassle to search for that scent again which I am not even sure is the correct lead for you."

Hana did not seem interested in this topic. The smell was the least concrete evidence for a possible affair in this case.

'He could be just talking about the scent in general. Or it could be a unique, rare kind of herb. She is a Jonin from a clan.'

Hana wasn't very confident in Kiba's senses. He was still new to it and she believed that he must have got it wrong and did not recognise the correct scent.

'Or it could be something womanly, I am not even sure. I am only paying attention because I had seen Reko with Momo, Hina's mother.'

'Either he is cheating on Momo or Kiba is just confused about his guess.'

She was not very satisfied with the clues and reasoning that Kiba had provided. But there was no way that she could leave it as it is.

Reko had a relationship with Momo, her best friend's mother. Hana could not leave it. She needed to get to the truth.

"Ohh that's it!! I remember it now."

Kiba's eyes flashed as he gave a radiant smile, he had recalled where he had found the scent before.

"Hmm?"

Hana also seemed intrigued, curious about the clue that could make Kiba excited like that.

"The smell!! I smelled it here, in our house. Near the bathroom and mom's room."

But what came out of Kiba's mouth left her embarrassed and stunned.

"Are you sure??"

She asked just in case. Maybe Kiba had remembered it wrongly.

"Yeah. I am pretty sure."

But Kiba stood by his answer. This clue was like an itch which he could not scratch. He knew it was a familiar kind of smell but couldn't remember where.

'Mom does have a habit of helping herself a round or two in her room when she is alone. So, it is almost confirmed that the weird smell is an orgasm.'

Hana knew what the smell was supposed to be. She was older and more experienced in using her senses as an Inozuka. The only scent that could stain her mother's compound was her own little fun time.

So, it was a big clue that Kurenai did have an orgasm in the middle of nowhere.

"I see. You should look for more clues as this is not enough to conclude anything."

'I need to have a talk with Hina or in the worst case, with Momo herself. I am sure she won't like Hina to know about her affairs.'

Hana encouraged Kiba for his clues but inside her mind, she was thinking of communicating it with Momo.

Kiba went off, he was not that interested in the topic now that he could remember the origin of that weird smell.

The fling between Reko and Kurenai? He was not that interested in relationships. He was just curious and wanted to share it with his big sister.

The next day

"I didn't expect you to be training here, Konohamuru. Is that your friend? Good job training together."

Asuma was passing by the forest after his little training session. Coincidentally, he happened to chance upon the scene of his nephew Konohamuru and his friends training there.

He was very proud to be honest. The scene of Konohamaru training and working hard was a big improvement from his previous attitude.

"Hm? That guy."

Reko muttered, finding that Asuma had visited the training spot. He was practicing on Konohamuru's Sensei, but then he decided to leave and see Asuma.

Just as Asuma was about to leave, he saw a black haired young guy rushing to their location. It was Reko. He was overseeing the kids' training as he practiced with Konohamuru's Sensei.

"Hey Reko!!! You're back already?"

Konohamuru shouted excitedly, he was told that Reko would only come back once they were done with the tedious training but it seemed that his hard work had moved Reko.

He was still drenched in sweat but the fact that Reko came back signified that the physical torture would end and made him happy.

"Back? Oh no, not yet. I was curious about the identity of the individual who interrupted your training. So, I came back to check on you."

"Continue training. I will be back once I am done."

Reko decided to burn the fledgling of happiness inside Konohamuru. He was back because of Asuma only and he was going back to his training now.

Anyways, Asuma was leaving. So, it did not make sense for him to initiate the conversation.

He was pretty busy with using Genjutsu technique on Konohamuru's Sensei.

"Wait!! You are Reko, right?"

To Reko's surprise, Asuma recognised him and stopped.

"The shinobi who is learning under the fifth hokage, correct?"

Seeing Reko neither deny nor accept, Asuma questioned once again even though he was pretty sure that he had heard it from his nephew's mouth.

"Ohh, you recognise me? I am honoured. Senior Asuma."

Reko lightly made a gesture as he smiled at Asuma. He was fairly surprised that someone like Asuma recognised him.

His fame had not yet spread. Reko's strength was still hidden by a huge margin which only few people were aware of.

"Senior?"

Asuma looked bothered at the mention of the word Senior. He was not that old. How could he be addressed as senior?

"Aren't you older than me by a decade?"

Reko instantly expressed his thoughts and his achievements in a line. And the sentence stung Asuma.

By the record, it was true that he was older by a decade, even more. But the other party had similiar level of strength.

"Age is irrelevant in the shinobi world. As long as you are strong, you are exempt from these formalities."

Asuma corrected.

"Ohh, then it's Asuma."

'It would feel weird if I called him Junior Asuma.'

Going by the strength, Reko was sure that not more than five shinobi in the entire leaf village could harm him, and Asuma was not one of those five.

But he could not call him a Junior now, could he? So, he settled on just Asuma.

"Good. But before that, I will test out your strength."

'He is adapting very quickly.'

Asuma felt irritated by Reko for some reason. It was not because of Kurenai. Maybe it was, but the attitude shown by Reko did not help much.

He wanted to assess Reko in battle.

"Beat him up, Reko."

Konohamuru instantly cheered for Reko. What better time to pick sides and reduce his training? He could cheer for Reko now and get into his good books.

'What is wrong with this brat? Instead of supporting me, his uncle, he goes around cheering for the stranger.'

'What is that Jonin teacher teaching him?'

Asuma however was once again irritated, this time by his own nephew. First Kurenai, she kept speaking well of Reko, and now his own nephew? This was intolerable!!

'On that note, where's that guy? I can't seem to spot him nearby. Did he delegate his task to Reko and left?'

Suddenly, Asuma recalled that Konohamuru's Sensei was not nearby. How could this be? He was confused but the battle was imminent, questions could wait.

"Alright then. Kids, stand away. This is going to be a dangerous battle."

He gave a warning to the kids to stay away. He was very sure that he would push Reko in the battle and that would get dangerous for the kids to witness.

Reko agreed without hesitation. He believed that Asuma was not a challenge for him, most of the Jonins weren't.

The battle began and Asuma left the first move to Reko while he defended. Even though he was skeptical of Kurenai's words, he was still able to feel that Reko was a Jonin level.

Although for some reason, Reko's chakra did not seem very potent as Kurenai had described, making him confident of his victory.

'Is he using his full strength from the very beginning? Why's he so strong?'

As Asuma took the first hit, his muscles hurt, evident of the high strength Reko possessed.

He did not show it on his face but he was frustrated. Don't people normally start with low strength and then gradually increase it?

He was irritated not realising that he was the one who offered to test Reko's skills.

Asuma attacked too, he had refrained from using his knife but he used the knuckle part to knock some into Reko.

Unfortunately for him, Reko easily dodged the punch.

The spar continued with Reko easily dodging Asuma's attacks as he hit Asuma back perfectly.

'His reflexes are good. It's like he can predict the path of my attacks.'

Asuma seemed to acknowledge Reko's strength. This was already above a normal Jonin level.

But it could not end like this. He needed to dominate the spar. He could not lose. So, he decided to not hold back. A spar with his full strength.
