That was Eudan's game. Like many Chaos Demons who ventured out to seize territory, he was an Arch Lord from a powerful lineage, desperate to break through the final ceiling to Godhood.
He had targeted Orion's territory for two reasons: First, he believed Orion was weak. Second, Orion had made the mistake of offending House Julius. During the resistance against the Unhallowed, the Julius family had expended significant resources, and Orion's theft of the Gray Crystals hadn't gone unnoticed by the powers that be.
"So what if he's an Over-tier combatant?" Eudan sneered, stepping into the ash-choked wind. "If he's not a true Demigod, he doesn't have the reserves. Can he afford to burn through Divinity like we can?"
He chuckled darkly. "I'll force him into a few high-stakes skirmishes. Once he realizes the cost, he'll bleed out. He'll hand over the Foundry Citadel just to stop the hemorrhage."
