He couldn't act rashly, however. Wielding the power of rules came at a cost, one paid with an immense amount of faith. And faith was a resource Orion was desperately short on. In a way, it was why he hadn't immediately jumped into the demigod-level battle after escaping the sanctum.
Simply put, he couldn't afford it.
It also explained why the Deputy Commander, Alexander, Arthas, and the others always entered a period of deep slumber after a major battle.
There was another thing: Orion was greedy. His ambition was vast. Having grasped the nature of a weapon-type Lord's Stone, he now wanted to comprehend Lord's Stones for lightning and demon blood as well. That was the real reason he'd told Lilith he needed to sleep again. Before he had accumulated enough faith to make his move, he wanted to grasp for more.
He would ascend to demigod with three Lord's Stones. He wanted to see what kind of being he would become. A demigod like that, he wagered, would be far more powerful.
