"Hey, you!" Their leader pointed at Alice. "I haven't seen you go take the test yet. What are you doing trying to act cool?"
They paused. What did he just say?
"Hey, punk," Diane stepped up and shoved him by the shoulder. "What are you? The rest police?" She looked spiteful. "It seems you have a death wish. Just mind your goddamn business and walk along if you're not looking for trouble. Who are you to point at her like that?"
"Hah, I see. You're all shielding her because she's weak." He said and they flinched.
He observed their reaction and the expressions on their faces, interpreting it as him hitting the nail on the head, but boy, was he wrong.
He grinned.
Diane gritted her teeth. She didn't mind a nobody dying for being so ignorant but not there. At least not where everyone else could see.
The last time someone called Alice weak, they almost died. And that someone was Elizabeth.
