What happened to me. Kotvslape
In March, I had a seizure that landed me in the hospital, where I nearly died — but they managed to resuscitate me. I then spent a week on life support. Later, when I more or less woke up (though it's hard to call someone under strong sedatives and recovering from heavy anesthesia truly conscious), I began the slow process of recovery.
In April, I was discharged and continued to regain my strength. At first, the doctors suspected epilepsy, but recommended an MRI of the brain for a more accurate diagnosis.
The MRI revealed a tumor that was causing my seizure-like symptoms (it's not epilepsy, but something very similar). I then had to undergo a biopsy via craniotomy to extract a sample of the tumor for laboratory analysis. The tests showed that it's a low-grade malignant tumor. For treatment, I was referred to an oncologist, and I am now undergoing treatment under their care.
