Chapter 242 - MP 242: The Chaos Tide

Above the Persian Gulf.

Roy, holding Quetzalcoatl tightly, was flying at high speed through the sky. He looked down and saw that the Sea of Life had already swallowed more than half of the ocean below, his eyes filled with deep concern.

Since all the pterosaurs had been taken away by Jaguar Man to complete a certain task assigned by Roy, Quetzalcoatl no longer had her aerial mount and could only rely on Roy to carry her to the battlefield.

Fortunately, Quetzalcoatl herself was a Divine Spirit, and as the Feathered Serpent Goddess, she held the supreme divine authority over the sun. She had a strong resistance to the magical flame rising from Roy, so even if they flew for a long time, she wouldn't feel uncomfortable due to the heat; instead, she found the flame ignited by pure magical energy very comfortable.

Although Roy thought that carrying her on his back would be more comfortable, Quetzalcoatl insisted on being held in his arms.

So, while in his arms, Quetzalcoatl kept caressing Roy's chest muscles, taking the opportunity to cop a feel, and muttered half-jokingly, "You have a great physique, very firm~"

Not to mention the unlimited magical energy supply, he was also particularly skilled in combat, and most importantly, his personality and will were very much to her liking.

Such an excellent Master was truly rare, though contracting with that Tezcatlipoca guy made her a bit unhappy.

Roy didn't say anything about her improper behavior; he just sighed.

He also understood Quetzalcoatl; she just wanted to help him relax a bit through jokes and conversation before the big battle.

But when they arrived at the coast of the Persian Gulf, they saw that the ocean had already been largely overtaken by the Sea of Life, and all the joking and relaxed atmosphere disappeared.

Below, in the distance of the Persian Gulf, the area had already been completely swallowed by the Black Mud. Amidst the howling winds, the black tides were madly devouring and transforming the lives in the ocean.

In the pitch-black ocean, it seemed that some crisis was lurking.

"Be careful, Master."

While they were still on their way to Tiamat's location, Quetzalcoatl, leaning in Roy's arms, seemed to sense something. Her face suddenly changed, and she quickly reminded him.

And at that moment, Roy also sensed the threat that Quetzalcoatl had warned about. He raised his palm towards the right direction, brought them together to form a finger gun, and fired a powerful light cannon towards the source of the threat, blasting something apart.

Immediately after, the magical flame burning on his body suddenly rose, completely burning away the splattering filthy blood. At that very moment, the two finally saw the true appearance of the monster that had just tried to ambush them.

What kind of monster was this?

No, this was something even more bizarre than a monster; calling it a monster was just a vague generalization.

It was a life form with an appearance that could not be described with language, could not be expressed with words, and could not be comprehended with human knowledge.

Even the usually optimistic Quetzalcoatl couldn't help but frown at this moment; in all her years of life, she had never seen such a strange species.

Or perhaps, this thing was not even a living being and could not be called life.

Because life is composed of body and soul.

But Roy couldn't sense any soul from them; they were just empty shells with a bit of consciousness, acting under the control of some will. Even the Third Magic, which materializes the soul, couldn't transform them.

"¥¥!!&&, @@@@!!"

Subsequently, these bizarre monsters continuously uttered many meaningless but disgusting languages from what couldn't be distinguished as mouths. Their extremely twisted limbs constantly twitched and trembled, and they kept rushing out of the Black Mud in extremely grotesque postures. They quickly ran towards the direction where the two were on the mudflat below, some even had wings and tried to intercept them in the air.

This sight made Roy's body suddenly pause, and his face couldn't help but stiffen.

But this was not out of panic or shock; rather, like a human seeing vomit, he naturally felt disgusted.

Roy, possessing the Third Magic, could see souls and essences clearly and was very sensitive to the souls of different living beings.

And these monsters gave him a feeling of extreme disgust; just looking at them was a torment to his eyes…

"There's no mistake; these guys are the so-called Lahmu, right."

As a Master who had cleared the seventh singularity in the game, he had a deep impression of these guys. At that time, in the game, their appearance and strength had disgusted him greatly.

Seeing them now in reality still made him feel extremely nauseous.

These bizarre things called themselves Tiamat's children, the new humans who would replace the old humanity, more perfect beings born from the Chaos Tide.

Not only were they extremely hard to kill, but they could also be mass-produced on a large scale. They were the first calamity brought by Tiamat's return.

"We don't have time to keep wasting here with them…"

Seeing these monsters, Roy frowned. Without any hesitation, while protecting Quetzalcoatl in his arms, he directly raised his left hand and gathered magical energy.

Immediately, an exceptionally large ball of magical energy formed in his hand and then crushed down towards the Lahmu below.

"¥0%&**!!"

Then, another burst of meaningless strange language. Under Roy's light cannon that had risen to its peak, all the Lahmu below were completely shattered. Even the black ocean was struck by this terrifying blow, creating a huge whirlpool and causing tumultuous waves instantly.

"Too disgusting, really too disgusting. These monsters, although they have signs of life, completely defy the evolution of life. Does that Tiamat actually want to use such things to replace humanity and fill this land? I absolutely will not allow it!!"

When she saw the sky filled with dense, countless Lahmu, Quetzalcoatl, who loved humanity the most, could no longer bear it.

Even the sympathy she originally had for Tiamat's plight vanished completely after seeing these disgusting monsters.

Now, there was only one thought left in Quetzalcoatl's mind: no matter who you are, whether you are the Goddess of Beginning of Mesopotamia or of any other land, if you want to replace humanity with such monsters, she absolutely will not agree!!

"Master, do you need my help?"

Quetzalcoatl raised her palm, ready to use the solar flames controlled by the gods to burn these disgusting monsters at any moment.

"No need; I can handle this small scene."

But Roy just shook his head. After using one move to clear away the roaming Lahmu in this area, he immediately increased his speed. He turned into a stream of white light filled with destructive power, swiftly shuttling through the pitch-black tides. With a wave of his hand, he easily destroyed the incoming Lahmu in front.

"Instead of staying here and getting entangled with them endlessly, let's go straight to Tiamat's side and rendezvous with Tezcatlipoca."

"Let's leave these disgusting Lahmu to those warriors who have become Ascenders and Gilgamesh; after all, this is everyone's battle."

"Alright, Master! Then let's charge straight ahead with all our might!!"
