Red Alert World, the Moon.
The once barren far side of the Moon, filled only with countless craters, was now packed with buildings of all kinds. Various aircraft flew between them, and an endless number of robots kept expanding the area.
Massive amounts of mineral resources were being dug out from deep within the Moon, sent to refineries, and turned into industrial products—most of which were weapons.
This was the base Yuri built on the Moon after returning to the modern world.
He chose the Moon for a simple reason: it was rich in resources, especially titanium and other metals, as well as nuclear energy sources like helium-3.
Also, there weren't many forces stationed here—despite Red Alert World's space tech being more advanced than in Josh's past life, they still couldn't afford large-scale colonization due to high costs. Only two small bases had been built.
Before Yuri traveled back, he had once tried to use the Moon as his final stronghold. But he had been defeated by a desperate joint invasion from the Allies and Soviets. The main reason for his failure back then was that he didn't have enough troops left and had no time to grow his forces.
But this time, Yuri wouldn't lose.
Before coming back to the modern world, he used advanced robot tech from the Robot World to build a huge robot army—tens of millions strong—with even more engineering robots.
He also built tens of thousands of space warships.
Yuri even made himself a giant flagship, over a kilometer long.
Using robots and machines, he packed every ship full, then stored them all in his system's space. Every gap was filled with materials, using up the system's full 1,000 cubic kilometers of space to the limit.
With such preparation, the two bases on the Moon, belonging to the Soviets and Allies, were taken over quietly before they even noticed.
Due to the sudden rise of the Rising Sun Empire, both the Allies and Soviets were too busy to notice the loss of their Moon bases.
The Rising Sun Empire was fully focused on pushing their frontlines forward. Like in World War II, their own resources were limited, so they were eager to expand and gain more power. They had no time to worry about the Moon.
Thanks to this, Yuri was able to quickly take control and keep growing his forces on the Moon.
"Commander, all troops are ready and waiting for your order!" said a sharp-looking female officer in uniform, reporting behind Yuri.
If Josh had been there, he would have recognized her—Whitney Frost, the former Hollywood star and scientist who had once framed him and was then handed over to Yuri.
Even though she was now completely under Yuri's control, her outstanding abilities were still clear.
She was now not only Yuri's deputy, but because of her excellent genes, Yuri had chosen her to be the mother of Libra.
"Any word from Kato and the others?" Yuri asked calmly, without looking back, as he continued his research.
For someone like Yuri, multitasking was nothing.
The "Kato" he mentioned was a spy he had sent to the Rising Sun Empire. This man had originally been a spy from Josh's own universe, sent by the Japan to America.
Most of the people Josh handed over to Yuri were criminals, but many were actually hidden spies. These spies were extremely well disguised. Without active missions, they lived like regular civilians—running small businesses and blending in. But now, those spies were helping Yuri infiltrate the Rising Sun Empire more easily.
At first, Yuri was only interested in the Empire because they were defeating both the Allies and Soviets. He wasn't in a rush to attack or spy on them—after all, with the power and tech he now had, no one in this world could truly stand against him.
But after Josh told him about Yuriko, Yuri's interest shifted. Now, he wasn't just focused on the Empire—he was focused on Yuriko.
Josh had only told him that Yuriko was part of a research division in the Empire, but had no idea where exactly she was. Yuri would have to find her on his own.
If Yuri's forces were still mostly white people like before, this would have been a real problem. Even using regular Asians wouldn't help much—white people can't tell East Asians apart, but East Asians definitely can.
Unless Yuri personally infiltrated or captured and brainwashed more Empire citizens, it would've been hard to spy on them properly.
But now, with so many Japanese Spies already on his side—even though they came from another universe—they shared the same language and culture. That made things much easier.
Although not much time had passed, these spies had already started gaining a foothold inside the Empire. Their ranks weren't high yet, but it was only a matter of time.
"They've mostly confirmed that the Shiro Psychic Research Center, which studies human engineering, is in Nagasaki, Kyushu. But because its defenses are so tight, they still haven't found a way to get inside," Frost reported.
"Nagasaki? Excellent… Once we bring Yuriko back the entire Rising Sun Empire might be worth conquering." Yuri said with a rare smile.
"Leader, then shall we—?" Frost asked. Even though she was Yuri's woman and Libra's mother, Yuri wasn't the sentimental type. When not needed, she was just an officer and had to address him formally.
"Have the Destroyer Squad and the Clerics ready for an airdrop. Once the location is confirmed, we'll storm the place. If spies can't get in, then we break in," Yuri said coldly.
The Destroyer Squad was Yuri's elite team of super battle robots—the strongest among all his combat units. Their bodies and weapons were made with large amounts of vibranium alloy, making them incredibly powerful.
Because of the limited amount of vibranium, Yuri had only produced a little over a thousand Destroyers so far. They were his elite guard force.
As for the Clerics, they were soldiers made up of immigrants from the Equilibrium. Due to long-term use of the potion from that world, even though they had regained their minds, their emotions were still much weaker than normal, and they had strong resistance to mental control.
Since most of them lacked skills outside of combat, they willingly joined Yuri's forces to give their families a better life. Because of their unique traits, Yuri kept their original structure and name as the Clerics. He didn't use psychic control on them, and instead worked to strengthen their resistance to it. This made them the strongest group of natural human soldiers under his command.
Of course, there weren't many of them—only a little over three hundred. But with their combat strength, they were still an extremely terrifying force.
With these two elite teams leading the charge, supported by regular troops, Yuri was confident the so-called Shiro Psychic Research Center could be wiped out in just ten minutes.
"Yes, Leader. I'll get everything ready right away," Frost responded quickly with a salute and left to carry out the order.
…
Earth — Rising Sun Empire, Shiro Psychic Research Center, Nagasaki, Kyushu.
A female officer rushed toward the top floor office, holding a report in her hand, and pressed the doorbell.
With a swish, the electronic door opened. Without hesitation, the officer walked in.
There was no one in the main office hall, but sounds of pleasure and soft moaning came from the lounge next door.
The female officer didn't react. She was clearly used to this kind of situation, she simply walked up to the lounge door and knocked lightly.
"What is it?" came the voice of a middle-aged man from inside.
"Sir, the military command is requesting one hundred more copies of Yuriko," she said calmly.
As soon as she said that, there was a loud slapping sound and a woman's cry of pain from inside.
"Those bastards at headquarters! Don't they know how hard it is to produce even one Yuriko clone? A hundred? Why don't they just drop dead?" the man inside cursed angrily.
"Sir, the war has become intense. After our early victories, we had to slow down due to poor supply lines. That gave the Allies and Soviets time to stabilize. The military is desperate, and His Majesty the Emperor is putting on pressure. So they're putting all their hopes on the Omega Program," she said with a calm expression.
"Useless fools!" A few minutes later, a middle-aged man in a white lab coat and glasses walked out of the lounge, looking very gloomy.
He was none other than the highest-ranking commander of the Rising Sun Empire's scientific forces—Dr. Shinji Shimada, administrator of the Shiro Psychic Research Center and lead researcher of the Omega Program.
"But this also proves how effective the ten Yuriko clones were in real combat. That's probably why the military is so desperate, right?" After his rant, Dr. Shimada asked.
"Yes, sir. Not only effective—truly astonishing. One of the clones even single-handedly destroyed an entire carrier fleet. Her combat record even surpasses that of the King Oni," the female officer replied, a rare spark of fanaticism flashing in her usually calm eyes.
"Hahaha! Of course! The Omega Program is my life's work. That child is a gift from the heavens to the Empire. How could a mere Oni King possibly compare to her?" Dr. Shimada smiled smugly, pride filling his face.
But just then, a piercing alarm blared throughout the research center.
"What's going on?" Dr. Shimada's face twisted in confusion.
"Air raid! Air raid! Nagasaki is under attack! All units to combat stations immediately! This is not a drill—repeat, this is not a drill!" the broadcast blared over the intercom system.
"Sir, outside…" the female officer said, voice trembling as she pointed toward the massive floor-to-ceiling window.
Dr. Shimada followed her gaze—and froze.
What the hell was that?
The sky was filled with swarms of strange, never-before-seen aircraft rampaging through the skies above Nagasaki. The entire city was being swallowed in flames and thick black smoke.
Each of those ships in the air was larger than most navy vessels. One of them even stretched a full kilometer long.
These… these were space warships, weren't they? Was this an alien invasion?
That was the first thought to flash through Dr. Shimada's stunned mind.
"Damn it!" He quickly snapped back to reality.
He had just spotted several of those warships heading straight toward the Shiro Psychic Research Center at high speed.
"Activate all special combat units immediately! The Omega Program must not be lost!" he shouted, bolting toward his desk and slamming the emergency defense button for the facility.
Far beneath the research building—deep underground—dozens of dormant incubation chambers lit up one after another as the final defense protocol activated.
Except… one chamber, buried the deepest, remained shrouded in darkness.
At the same moment Dr. Shimada triggered the defense system, several assault shuttles smashed directly into the Shiro Psychic Research Center.
Yes—smashed into it, like aircraft crashing into a skyscraper.
But unlike ordinary buildings, the Shiro Psychic Research Center was a military-grade structure, far tougher than commercial ones. The impact tore open sections of the walls but didn't bring the building down.
And those assault shuttles weren't meant for suicide attacks anyway. Their true threat came after they landed—when the hatches opened and swarms of Destroyer robots and Clerics warriors stormed out into the building.
