"Good morning, Sunshine."
Ravenna shot up from the bed when she heard Liam's voice. Ever since she'd been brought here, he hadn't once come to see her. But now here he was, smiling at her as though nothing had happened.
"Liam," she called out, warily walking toward him but keeping her distance.
Liam closed his eyes and smiled even wider, as if the sound of her voice was sweet music to his ears.
"I love it when you say my name."
Ravenna frowned but brushed off his words, thinking he was still under the control of the Lycan King.
"Liam… I'm sorry. I'm really sorry," Ravenna first apologized, guilt surging through her.
This person had suffered because of her weakness. Because he had become her friend.
"What are you sorry for, Sunshine? You haven't done anything wrong, alright?" Liam's low, soothing voice filled her ears.
