Li Meili was already in the dining room, looking more rested but still worried. She offered him a small smile as he sat down across from her.
The table was set for two, elegant but not ostentatious. The staff had prepared a simple but delicious meal: roasted chicken, fresh vegetables, and fragrant rice.
They ate in silence for a few minutes before Li Meili finally spoke.
"Should we... should we try to contact her? Zhou Yuxi, I mean. Make sure she's okay?"
Su Feng considered this, chewing thoughtfully.
"I think we should give her some space," he said finally. "She's been through a lot today. She probably needs time to process everything without people constantly checking on her."
"But what if she needs us?" Li Meili pressed.
"Then she'll reach out," Su Feng said gently. "Zhou Yuxi has never been shy about asking for help when she really needs it. Right now, I think she needs to be alone with her thoughts."
Li Meili nodded slowly, though she didn't look entirely convinced.
