"Go!"

Locking onto a massive asteroid within the nearby asteroid belt with his mind, George activated the magic circle. In an instant, a towering beam of starlight shot out and struck the asteroid, disintegrating it into fine dust that scattered into the void.

"Not bad at all."

Seeing the results of his Fairy Glitter attack, George let a satisfied smile rise to his face.

And this was just the effect while in human form. If he were in his dragon form, with his magical power greatly amplified, the spell's potency would be on an entirely different level.

Meanwhile, inside the ship, the ravagers—still recovering from earlier—stood beside Yondu, their eyes wide as they stared at the shattered asteroid outside. One of them stammered:

"Boss, th-that asteroid... it was twice the size of our base ship!"

If George could destroy an asteroid that large in a single strike, that meant he could just as easily reduce their entire ship to dust—if he chose to.

Even the Kree Empire's most advanced war machine, the Kree Sentinels, could only match that kind of destructive power with their planet-busting laser cannons.

"So listen up, you bunch of idiots," Yondu warned sharply. "Don't you dare piss him off—I won't be able to save you if you do."

"Just play it smart. If we pull this off, we might actually walk away with two billion!"

His eyes were filled with both awe and excitement.

He was terrified of George's power—but that same power also gave him hope.

With the strength George had just demonstrated, taking down Thanos and Ronan might actually be possible. And if that happened, he and Peter might really walk away with a billion credits each.

Star-Lord, Gamora, and Rocket shared the same conflicted feeling.

Gamora didn't care about the billion. What mattered to her was the possibility of finally exacting revenge.

"Let's move."

After returning to the ship with Phantom Shift, George gave Yondu a nod before heading back to his room to further solidify his newfound understanding of Fairy Glitter.

Had he known the cosmos was such fertile ground for unlocking the secrets of this spell, he'd have come sooner.

Indeed, as a mage seeking to comprehend the laws of the universe and forge a world of his own, he couldn't afford to rely solely on isolation and theory—travel and firsthand experience were just as vital.

As the ship continued forward, they soon arrived at the jump point closest to Earth.

The moment the ship crossed the jump threshold—skipping across vast distances and reappearing outside the solar system—George was struck by another revelation, this time about spatial laws.

In truth, the jump points scattered throughout the universe were one of the most profound natural manifestations of spatial law.

After all, even at the speed of light, leaving the solar system would take over a year. Yet with jump points, one could leap out of the system and into a new star cluster in just a second.

Such long-distance spatial travel was something far beyond his current ability.

At the moment, George's powers only allowed him to teleport from the South Pole to the North Pole—interplanetary movement was still out of reach, let alone interstellar travel.

"A long road still lies ahead."

Crossing the jump point, George let out a sigh.

His ultimate dream was to link the worlds together—to travel freely between different realms, not just rely on vague soul resonance as he currently did.

But to reach that level, his understanding of spatial law would need to surpass even the threshold required to teleport across the entire Marvel multiverse at will.

Only then, leveraging his soul's connection to various realities, could he break through the walls separating the worlds and step freely into the myriad universes beyond.

Under George's command, the ship pressed forward at full speed, without rest or pause, hopping from one jump point to another.

After a week of relentless travel, they finally reached the border between the Milky Way Galaxy and the Large Magellanic Cloud.

"Headmaster, we've received a distress signal—it's from a Nova Empire patrol fleet," Gamora reported as she knocked on George's door, where he was immersed in magical research.

She added, "The signal's origin matches the location of the planet attacked by Thanos and Ronan."

George paused his studies, opened the door, and followed her to the command room, where Star-Lord replayed the distress call.

"This is Planet K-9852—we are the Nova Empire Border Patrol, 8th Fleet. Ronan the Accuser is currently attacking this planet! The Mad Titan Thanos' fleet is also present! Requesting immediate backup from Command! I repeat, we need immediate assistance!"

"That distress call was sent thirty minutes ago," Gamora reported, her gaze dimming. "With Ronan and Thanos's fleets, that planet and the patrol squadron were likely annihilated long ago."

She paused, steeling herself. "Based on Thanos's usual pattern, he'll strip the world of resources but spare about half the population. However, at the Nova Empire's current dispatch speed, it'll take at least two days to muster a force capable of facing Ronan and Thanos together. By then, everyone there will be gone."

Gamora's voice caught. She'd lived through this horror before—her homeworld had suffered the same fate: plundered, half its people slaughtered, the survivors left broken and vulnerable. Civilization regressed by decades. And if scavengers struck next, the planet would become little more than a slave colony.

None of the major empires—Nova, Kree, or Skrull—could prevent it. Thanos wasn't interested in occupation; he simply looted, killed, and moved on. Ordinary raiders could be driven off by border patrols, but Thanos's fleet? Even a third of an empire's armada thrown at him wouldn't guarantee victory. And with all three empires already at war, they couldn't spare the ships.

That was why the Mad Titan Thanos was feared across the galaxy—his strength kept all three great powers wary.

"We need to trick him," George murmured, twisting the Cosmic Cube in his hand. "Contact Thanos again. Tell him you've commandeered the Ravager ship and are on your way. Ask him not to leave—have him wait on that planet for you."

He paused, eyes gleaming. "Right now, this is the perfect setup. Thanos and Ronan are both on the surface. We can deal with them together, without worrying about them escaping."

He explained that both villains could create makeshift jump points to flee a battle in space—like Ronan did in the films when Captain Marvel forced his retreat. Once they were gone, he wouldn't be able to catch them. But trapped on a planet, they'd have nowhere to hide.

Gamora took the Cosmic Cube. "No problem," she said confidently. "With the Cube in hand—and given Thanos's temper—he won't suspect a thing."

She vanished in a flicker of light to relay the message to the Mad Titan.
