*Isabella's POV*
As the limo glided to a stop, Elly announced, "We're here – at the hotel." I raised an eyebrow, perplexed. "Why?" I asked, my curiosity piqued. Elly's response was matter-of-fact. "We need to get changed." Her words sparked a flurry of activity as we poured out of the limo and into the hotel lobby. As we stepped into my hotel room, Elly shed her clothes with reckless abandon, leaving me aghast. "Elly!" I gasped, my cheeks flushing with surprise.
She turned to me, a mischievous glint in her eye. "What, dear? Something you've never seen before?" Her tone was nonchalant, as if she were discussing the weather rather than her state of undress. My gaze drifted, and I couldn't help but notice the differences between us. Elly's breasts were indeed fuller, and she seemed utterly unselfconscious about it. "From what I can tell, yours are bigger than mine," she quipped, inducing a laugh from me.
"I guess they are," I replied, chuckling as Elly joined in, her laughter infectious. As I watched her, I couldn't help but think that Elly was a breath of fresh air. Her unapologetic honesty and playful nature were a refreshing change. I'd always thought having a girlfriend was a bit silly, but Elly was rapidly changing my mind. "She's pretty fucking awesome," I thought to myself, a smile spreading across my face as I realized that I was actually having the time of my life with this outspoken, charismatic woman.
Elly swiftly slipped into a short skirt and a vibrant red tube top, the color expertly matching the dress she had chosen for me. I, on the other hand, donned the stunning red dress, its short hem and fitted bodice accentuating my curves. As we finished getting ready, Elly turned to me with a beaming smile. "Girl, you look gorgeous!" she exclaimed, her eyes scanning my outfit with admiration.
I chuckled, taking in her own ensemble. "Look who's talking," I teased, my gaze roaming over her skirt and tube top.
Elly's cheeks flushed with a delicate blush, and she shot me a playful glance. "I mean, I'd totally do you if I weren't married," she said with a mischievous grin, her words sending me into a fit of laughter. With our preparations complete, we made our way to the lobby and slid into the waiting limo. Elly slipped into the driver's seat, her confidence behind the wheel evident as she navigated the vehicle through the bustling streets. Our destination was a popular club, its pulsating rhythms and vibrant lights beckoning us to a night of unbridled fun.
"We're almost there," Elly announced from behind the wheel, her eyes fixed on the road ahead. "Oh, okay," I replied, my gaze drifting out the window as the city lights whizzed by. As we approached our destination, my curiosity got the better of me. "Can I ask you something?" I asked, turning my attention back to Elly.
"Shoot," she replied, her voice encouraging.
"How did you end up working for Jacob?" I inquired, my brow furrowed in curiosity. "You don't look like you were recommended by a driver's company... no offense," I added, a hint of amusement dancing on my lips. Elly chuckled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "None taken," she said, a smile still playing on her lips.
"Okay, so..." Elly began, her voice taking on a reflective tone as she gazed out at the road ahead. "Two years ago, I was working at the mall. It wasn't that much of a job, but I had fun. My husband worked for a construction firm, and of course, his salary was way bigger than mine." She paused, a hint of nostalgia creeping into her voice. "We had a good life, until one unfortunate night..." Elly's words trailed off, her expression turning somber as she seemed to collect her thoughts.
"His boss asked him to accompany a driver to get supplies," Elly continued, her voice laced with a mix of sadness and nostalgia. "It wasn't part of his job, but he did it because he was asked. I swear, when he called me saying he wouldn't be home because they had to drive all night, I had an awful feeling in my gut. I knew something bad was coming."
I felt a shiver run down my spine as I sensed the direction of her story. "Don't tell me..." I gasped, trying to wrap my head around the situation. Elly's expression turned somber. "Exactly. They had an accident." She paused, as if collecting her thoughts. "I won't go through the ugly details," she added in a lighter tone, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "It's girls' night, so I really don't want to."
She paused again, taking a deep breath before continuing her explanation. "But he was incapacitated to work. He couldn't work, and I had to provide for us both. So, I started driving for Uber. By day, I work at the mall; by night, well... you get the gist." Elly's voice was matter-of-fact, but I could sense the underlying resilience and determination that had driven her to take on the challenge.
"That was when Jacob called me as an Uber," Elly continued, a hint of amusement dancing on her lips. "He was hammered, but he tried to seem like a gentleman to impress me. You should have seen his face."
Flashback
Jacob stumbled into the car, clearly drunk. Elly was seated in the driver's seat, her eyes fixed on the rearview mirror as she greeted him. "Good evening, sir."
"Good evening," Jacob slurred, his voice laced with a hint of charm.
As he realized the driver was a woman, his tone turned flirtatious. "Oh, hello there." Elly's retort was swift and sharp. "Don't even think about it." Jacob chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "What's a gorgeous thing like you driving an Uber at night?" he asked, his voice dripping with condescension.
Elly's response was icy. "Exactly what you said – I'm driving." Jacob's smirk returned. "But it's dangerous." Elly's eyes narrowed, her voice taking on a warning tone. "Why? Because I'm a woman? Screw you – I can take care of myself." Jacob's smirk deepened, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Really?" he drawled, his voice laced with sarcasm and a hidden threat. "Let me get my knife – I bet you'd look nice with a pocket in your face."
Elly's expression turned glacial, her eyes flashing with fear. But before she could respond, Jacob's demeanor suddenly shifted. His smirk faltered, and he looked at Elly with a hint of surprise, as if he had just realized something.
