Chapter 113 - Chapter 115: Are You Going to Admit Defeat or Not!?

Nuclear bomb?

Director Nick Fury rolled his only eye.

"Can you guys come up with something new for once? It was Gotham last time, and now here we are again?"

Nick pointed Atreusily at a still-operating camera screen. "My people are still fighting in New York, along with some extra help, and they're doing a good job! Dropping a nuclear bomb in the middle of civilians—that would be a total disaster."

In the video conference, a high-ranking official clasped his hands together. "No! New York is already finished."

As if responding to his words, a Leviathan beast swooped down from the sky. Iron Man, with insufficient power to kill the Leviathan from the outside, bravely chose to fly into its gaping maw, filled with sharp teeth, and set off an explosion in its belly.

Tony succeeded.

Another Leviathan beast crashed to the ground, but the cost was that over 80% of Iron Man's suit was damaged, or his weapon systems failed.

In a nearby street, a woman clad in golden armor descended from the sky, using her glowing sword to pierce through a Leviathan's brain. However, as the beast fell, it demolished two skyscrapers.

The heroes were fighting valiantly.

But then what?

The massive portal in the sky, like a black abyss, continued spewing out alien invaders and Leviathan beasts.

Nick Fury's eye twitched slightly. He found it hard to refute the officials' pessimism. Seemingly nonchalant, he cut off the communication and thought to himself, "Come on, Avengers, step up your game!"

On the ground at 42nd Street in New York, Captain America and Black Widow, after continuous intense battles, were left bruised and gasping for breath.

Black Widow glanced at the blue beam shooting skyward from the top of Stark Tower in the distance. "We need to close that portal, or this will never end."

Cap sighed. "To get up there, you'll need a ride."

Black Widow glanced up at the sky. "Isn't that one right there?"

With his shield in hand, Captain America unleashed his superhuman strength, launching Black Widow a full 20 meters into the air. She landed precisely on the back seat of a Chitauri flying bike.

With a few quick moves, Black Widow dispatched the backseat Chitauri passenger and, after gaining +1 karma, quickly killed the driver and steered the bike toward Stark Tower.

At that moment, Loki showed up, shooting wildly from behind with "pew pew pew" noises.

Honestly, with Loki's aim combined with Black Widow's flying skills...

High in the air, Atreus watched in silence, completely speechless.

Loki, my friend, with your amateur-level shooting, even a top-tier horse expert would say—what a fine horse!

Originally, Black Widow would have asked Hawkeye to help shake off Loki's pursuit, but in this timeline, Hawkeye was unfortunately tied up in hand-to-hand combat with several Chitauri soldiers.

At that moment, Loki looked as graceful as ever, standing tall and majestic.

His long, silky hair fluttered in the wind.

The earth was beneath him, and countless armies lay in his hands.

Watching the human woman dodge without any means of fighting back, Loki felt a cat-and-mouse thrill.

He flashed a wickedly charming smile. "So, this is the view from a true king's vantage point?"

Just as Black Widow was about to scream in frustration from the barrage of shots at her back, a [mostly harmless] chariot zoomed by and slammed hard into Loki's backside.

"What!?" Loki, typical of someone who guards their head but forgets their rear, hadn't noticed the [Trojan tragedy] unfolding.

By the time he did, he and his flying vehicle had already been crushed.

Loki's magnificent green cape was now covered in hoofprints.

"Ahhh!" Loki screamed as he crash-landed.

In true unfortunate fashion, he landed right in Stark Tower's rooftop garden.

Over there, Black Widow looked back at the bald, muscular man on the chariot who waved at her. She nodded in thanks, shouting, "Thanks, Kratos!"

As her flying vehicle zoomed past Stark Tower, she performed a graceful three-turn somersault and landed on the rooftop.

Not far away, Atreus also leaped down, and before even hitting the ground, he delivered a powerful Spartan kick with his size-45 boot, stamping it right onto Loki's handsome face.

"Ahh!" The first punching bag of Asgard, Loki, flew backward into Tony's suite, crashing into the wall and then landing pitifully on the floor.

"Thor, you idiot! I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and this is what you do! How'd you let him get away again?" Atreus's face was full of mockery.

Loki, filled with rage, stood up, howling to the sky with a voice reaching 120 decibels. "ENOUGH—I AM A GOD!"

Atreus tilted his head. "If invaders like you qualify as gods, then I must be the God Slayer!"

Lies are often hidden in truth, which makes them the most effective.

"You fool—you lowly insect, how dare you insult... me!?"

Before Loki could finish his sentence, Atreus had already lunged at him.

A large hand clamped down on Loki's face, and before he could react, the force from his opponent sent him flying.

The next moment, Loki's handsome face made intimate contact with the wall.

"Crack—"

Countless fragments of rock splattered.

Tony's marble wall decorations now had a half-meter-wide trench gouged out by Loki's face.

Shards of rock, sharp and jagged, pierced into Loki's face, and even with his godly physique, the pain was unbearable.

His face scraped along the wall, even bumping into reinforced steel, causing him not only intense pain but also dizziness. He had no idea that someone had used his head to carve a "2" on the wall, followed by a flamboyant "B."

"Tell me, punk! How do we close the portal?" The luxurious suite echoed with Kratos' booming voice.

Some travelers know everything, but they'll still take the opportunity to beat up Loki twice.

His brutal roar even reached Black Widow's ears as she searched for the portal-shutdown method on the rooftop.

Startled by the fierce voice, Black Widow grew more certain that Kratos was an ally.

She soon discovered that Dr. Selvig, who had been captured by Loki, had woken up and revealed the method to close the portal.

Black Widow jumped down from the rooftop, just in time to see Atreus finish carving with Loki's face as the scepter fell in the middle of the room.

The sight of the chaos made Black Widow slightly wary. When their eyes met, she greeted, "Hello, Kratos. I just found out we need Loki's scepter to close the portal..."

To her surprise, she saw a glimmer of reason in the eyes of this seemingly savage man.

"Go ahead!" Atreus said casually.

Black Widow didn't hesitate. She grabbed the scepter and dashed to the rooftop.

Loki sighed in relief, thinking it was finally over, but then another rain of fists pummeled his face.

"Speak! Loki! Is closing the portal really that simple?"

"Yes, it's true!" Loki confessed, his face bruised and swollen.

"You're lying!" Another barrage of punches.

"No! I'm not lying! It's true!" Loki screamed in agony.

"Liar! I'm asking if you'll admit defeat or not! You won't, will you? You scoundrel!" Yet another round of face-smashing punches.

In the future, who knows how many more times Earth will be dragged into chaos by this scoundrel Loki. And yet, the opportunities to beat him are few and far between!

Atreus punched even harder.
