Chapter 109 - Chapter 111: [The Tragedy of Troy]

If the multi-shot barrage earlier was just an archery trick, then Atreus's subsequent rapid fire was the pinnacle of violent beauty.

Triple shot! Triple shot! And another triple shot!

Each time he grabbed into the void, three massive arrows, each over a meter long, appeared in his hand. Without any hesitation, he pulled the bowstring, sending the arrows flying with deadly accuracy. Not only did none of the shots miss, but often, a single arrow would pierce through two or three enemies at once.

These giant arrows effortlessly sniped the Chitauri's small flying motorcycles, lighting up the sky with bursts of brilliant fireworks.

The ferocious rain of arrows made it easy to compare to a Vulcan minigun.

Tony grimaced. If he were playing a video game, he'd probably be complaining, "Why is the tank stealing the ADC's job?"

But regardless, having a strong ally was definitely good news in this chaotic situation.

At this moment, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Captain America arrived in a S.H.I.E.L.D.-exclusive Quinjet. While it was primarily used for transport, the Quinjet also packed some impressive firepower.

Hawkeye, who had only recently been physically brought back into action by Black Widow, was a little puzzled. "Why does this Kratos guy's archery look so much like mine?"

Watching Kratos ride across the skies in his ancient Greek chariot, Black Widow couldn't resist roasting Hawkeye: "Come on, Clint. That guy is probably like Thor—a demigod who's been alive since mythological times."

Cap chimed in with some self-deprecating humor: "You're not wrong. Look at me—a guy who's been alive for almost a hundred years but spent 70 of them asleep."

The heroes' sharp eyes didn't miss a thing. If Kratos' Spartan-inspired look previously seemed like a cosplay, now that he had pulled out [The Tragedy of Troy], there was no doubt—he was the real deal.

Artifacts from the age of gods aren't something you can easily fake, let alone fly. The style alone is so unique that trying to replicate it would be impossible, not to mention the divine horses pulling the chariot.

To be honest, this was Atreus's first time using [The Tragedy of Troy].

And he found it… awkward.

The chariot's power was undeniable, but it was exhausting to use.

To keep the chariot in the air, since he wasn't a Greek god by blood, Atreus had two choices: either burn elemental energy at a rate of one unit per second, or tap into divine power.

But Atreus didn't have that kind of energy reservoir.

It was then that the recently healed Penthesilea offered to pull the chariot herself when she heard about the situation.

Atreus felt embarrassed. "Isn't it a bit inappropriate to have the mighty Amazon Queen pulling my chariot?"

"A queen with no subjects?" Penthesilea flicked her hair nonchalantly. "I disbanded my tribe when the Furies started hunting me down, entrusting most of those I couldn't take with me to Hippolyta. Those twelve Amazons were the last of my warriors. Besides…"

At this point, her gaze softened, filled with an ocean-deep affection. "I once swore that if I couldn't kill Achilles with my own hands, then the one who did would become my man."

Diana overheard and joined in. "Since Atreus is the archer, I'll serve as the spearman and shield-bearer for this chariot."

Both of them were from the same divine lineage, trained in chariot and horseback combat, making the partnership seamless.

With the conversation at this point, Atreus could hardly refuse.

Why? Having a true queen pull his chariot and a bona fide Amazon princess as his spear and shield…

All Atreus could think was: What more could a man want?!

And so, the three-person chariot took to the skies.

Compared to Iron Man, who was small and agile, the [Troy's Tragedy], being a larger and more heavily armed target, drew much more attention.

Before long, countless Chitauri on flying motorcycles were charging at them, firing large laser guns at the golden chariot without restraint.

Of course, it was useless!

Lasers of that intensity couldn't even pierce Cap's vibranium shield, let alone the divine shield in Diana's hands.

With a flash of golden light, the laser beams reflected back, striking down other approaching Chitauri.

Even when a few Chitauri managed to approach from below, Penthesilea just had to tug on the reins slightly, tilting the chariot to the side, allowing the two-meter-long meat-grinding blades on the wheels to shred any daring Chitauri into blue chunks of flesh.

Atreus was in his element, drawing at least 70% of the Chitauri's attention away from Tony.

After all, Iron Man was an offense-heavy hero. Despite his titanium armor, he couldn't take too many hits from those laser guns without sustaining damage, unlike Atreus, Thor, or Hulk, who were much more resilient.

To put it simply, the ADC's worst nightmare is getting focused!

Tony, in his red and gold suit, darted around in midair, using his pulse lasers to shoot down Chitauri motorcycles.

But soon, as more and more Chitauri poured in through the massive portal, the pressure mounted. Tony took a few hits, and several error warnings lit up inside his helmet.

Black Widow entered the fray with the Quinjet, but the large aircraft, despite its size, wasn't particularly effective.

The Vulcan cannons on the jet's underside took out about a dozen Chitauri before the jet was targeted and blown apart.

With a dizzying spin, Black Widow managed to crash-land the Quinjet, and the trio quickly began eliminating the remaining Chitauri on the ground.

Then, the first Leviathan warship emerged from the portal, and everything changed.

Just by eye, this thing was over 100 meters long. From a distance, its gaping maw looked like it could swallow an entire train, with fish-like fins covering both sides of its body.

Clad in exaggerated metal armor, it was terrifying.

Yes, this was the Chitauri's infamous Leviathan warship—a weaponized hybrid of space sharks created through bio-engineering.

As soon as it appeared, Black Widow and the others were stunned.

Sigh!

Just like the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, even the Avengers had tiers.

The top-tier heroes, like Thor and Hulk, had the strength to take down a Leviathan by themselves.

Today, Atreus decided to give it a try.

"I'll take care of it!"

Tony blinked at Atreus's voice over the comms. "You sure?"

The golden chariot streaked across the sky, drawing a shining arc before rising high into the clouds, aiming directly at the Leviathan a thousand meters above.

The Chitauri quickly realized Atreus's intentions and began focusing their fire on him.

A dazzling cone of laser beams lit up the sky, but then Penthesilea shouted, and a radiant golden light surrounded the entire chariot. The shield absorbed the onslaught of laser fire aimed at the divine horses pulling the chariot.
