Shuichi soon came down with a bouquet of flowers, moving with the same clumsy effort as always. Just going down two flights of stairs had him grimacing and sucking in air through his teeth.
Seeing him like this, Sayuki couldn't help but laugh.
"Sayuki-san, that's too much! It's bad enough that you torment me, but laughing at me too? That's just heartbreaking." Shuichi finally made it down the last step in an awkward stance.
"I wasn't laughing at you." Sayuki's gaze fell on the bouquet, looking a little surprised. "I thought it would be roses. What are these?"
Shuichi raised an eyebrow slightly. "I thought you'd recognize them, Sayuki-san. After all, Fumika-chan works with all kinds of aromatics every day. You must've picked up something from her."
Sayuki pouted. "Just because my sister works with scents doesn't mean I have to know flowers. She doesn't know anything about fitness either."
"Fair point." Shuichi chuckled helplessly.
As they chatted, the two walked outside together. Sayuki's hand naturally slipped around Shuichi's waist, pulling him closer to her.
"…..." Shuichi froze, turning to look at her. "Isn't this a bit inappropriate?"
"There's nothing wrong with it. My sister and I do this all the time—it's just a habit." Sayuki held back a laugh. "You had no problem acting all spoiled earlier, so why are you shy about this?"
"Then should I lean on your shoulder too?" Shuichi quipped.
"Well, I wouldn't say no." Sayuki smirked.
"Forget the shoulder—I'd rather borrow your chest." Shuichi muttered, his gaze drifting toward the firm yoga top she was wearing.
Sayuki shot him a sultry sideways glance. "Save your energy for my sister. She won't be that easy to satisfy today—actually, she'll be even harder to please than you think."
Shuichi suddenly felt suspicious—was there something he didn't know?
But Sayuki didn't explain. After dropping him off at the massage room of the beauty salon, she simply went upstairs to take a shower.
Or maybe… to do something else.
Shuichi pushed open the door, only to see Fumika already waiting for him. She had an expectant look in her eyes, as if she had been waiting for a long time.
Hiding the bouquet behind his back, he casually closed the door and walked toward her with a playful smile.
"I have a gift for you today, Fumika-chan, but you have to answer my question correctly before you can have it."
Fumika had been feeling nervous and shy, but upon hearing that, she immediately lit up with surprise.
"Chiba-kun is giving me a gift?"
"That's right, but you have to answer correctly first." Shuichi smiled brightly at her.
Fumika's charming, almond-shaped eyes shimmered as she gazed at him. "Then go ahead and ask, Chiba-kun."
"Alright… First question—what's my favorite part of you?" Shuichi asked mischievously.
A flush of red spread across Fumika's face. She bit her lower lip and answered softly, "My thighs…"
"Correct." Shuichi nodded in satisfaction, his eyes flickering toward her plump thighs, which were fidgeting slightly.
"Next question—did you miss me today?"
"Mm…"
Fumika's face turned an even deeper shade of red.
Not only had she missed him, but she had been thinking about him… quite a lot.
But honestly, she couldn't be blamed for it. In the beauty salon, things like this had a kind of enhancement effect. Even if she could only enjoy a 70% boost, the impact was still quite significant.
Shuichi hadn't realized it at first—he hadn't connected the dots yet.
As for Sayuki, her sudden increase in boldness lately? That was because she had been secretly doing the same thing at the beauty salon.
After such a long period of restraint, this situation had completely spiraled out of control.
"Last question."
Shuichi brought the bouquet from behind his back, his gaze intense as he looked into Fumika's eyes.
"Fumika-chan, do you know the meaning of this flower?"
"This is…" Fumika's eyes fell on the bouquet, and she immediately recognized it.
"Azaleas? The flower language means 'first lo—huh?"
She suddenly gasped, covering her mouth in shock. Her expression wavered between disbelief and anticipation as she looked at Shuichi for confirmation.
"This is really… for me?"
Shuichi chuckled. "You have to answer correctly to claim your gift."
Fumika's heart pounded wildly, her hands beginning to tremble slightly. Her eyes shimmered like a pool of clear water.
"Azaleas symbolize first love."
"Congratulations, you got it right."
Shuichi took two steps forward, gently lifting Fumika's hand and placing the bouquet into her grasp.
Fumika still felt like she was dreaming. She covered her mouth, her gaze locked onto Shuichi's eyes as if she wanted to melt into him.
"Is it really… for me?"
"Who else?"
Shuichi chuckled at her reaction. He leaned in close, bringing his lips to her ear, and whispered, his breath warm against her skin:
"Fumika-chan, you've already taken so many of my firsts… My first kiss, my first hug, my first time… doing all those pleasurable things."
"I told you from the start—I wasn't popular at school. That wasn't a lie. Even holding hands with a girl… you were my first."
Fumika felt her whole body go weak. She had no strength left—like she was melting right there in his arms.
"Do you like it, Fumika-chan? This is also my first time giving a gift to a woman… I wasn't sure if I chose the right one."
Shuichi took a slight step back, facing her directly with a bright, handsome smile.
"I love it."
Fumika could no longer hold back—she threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly.
Another death hug.
Shuichi once again experienced the feeling of near-suffocation, reminding him of the white clouds drifting over the Sumida River in his dreams.
That feeling of being completely enveloped was intoxicating.
"If you keep this up, Fumika-chan, you might have to start preparing for my resuscitation." Shuichi murmured, his voice slightly muffled.
It felt good, but seriously—he might actually suffocate.
"A-Ah! Sorry! Are you okay, Chiba-kun?" Fumika hurriedly loosened her grip, flustered as she anxiously checked him over.
"I'm fine, as long as you're happy." Shuichi took a deep breath, finally regaining his composure.
Then, he looked at Fumika—completely lost in the moment, her emotions overflowing.
Her captivating, almond-shaped eyes drew him in, pulling him deep into their warmth.
Her upper eyelids curved elegantly, with a deep, sharp inner corner and a delicate, slightly upturned outer edge—shaped just like peach blossom petals. Her gaze carried a hazy, dreamlike quality, as if she were caught between wakefulness and intoxication, radiating an undeniable allure.
Her long, thick lashes fluttered gently under the warm, dim lighting, as if they were dancing within the golden glow.
This subtle yet intoxicating charm made Fumika irresistibly tempting, stirring an itch deep within Shuichi's heart.
Shuichi took her empty hand and gently kissed the back of it. "I've already received my gift."
Fumika's moist lips pressed together nervously as she asked, "What do you mean?"
"Seeing you this happy is the best gift I could ask for."
Fumika couldn't stop the corners of her mouth from curling up. Her heart felt so sweet it might just melt. "That hardly counts as a return gift..."
"Why not?" Shuichi chuckled, his fingers brushing lightly against her cheek. "You look so beautiful when you're happy. That alone makes me feel incredibly lucky."
At his touch, Fumika shivered as if struck by lightning, her gaze becoming hazy and unfocused as she stared at the young man before her.
"But…" She bit down on her lower lip, hesitating for a moment before speaking again. "I actually prepared a special gift for you today, Chiba-kun."
Shuichi blinked in surprise. "Huh? A gift? What a coincidence… We really thought alike today."
Fumika's face turned crimson. She hesitated briefly before slowly lifting her hand and pointing at the fabric of her yukata.
"It's… under here." She swallowed, forcing herself to continue despite her embarrassment. "If you untie it… you'll see your gift."
