Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Awakening at Area 51

It was a cold night in the Nevada desert, the year 2024. The wind howled through the barren landscape, carrying with it the hushed whispers of those gathered outside the gates of Area 51. In the shadows, a lone figure stood, cloaked in a black hood, his face obscured from view. His name was Xi, and he was here for one reason: to see if the rumors were true.

Over the past few years, strange things had been happening. People were talking about hidden powers, forgotten magic, and alien technology—things only whispered in the corners of the dark web or in conspiracy forums. But for him, this wasn't just another rumor. He had seen things the public was never meant to know. The world was far more mysterious than most believed.

The public had no clue, but ancient texts, scrolls, and even religious scriptures—some going back millennia—spoke of humans who were once stronger, faster, and far longer-lived than today's people. These "Ancients" had ruled the Earth for centuries, their powers rivaling even the gods. Their abilities were said to have come from some sort of disruption in the natural flow of the world, which they had tapped into. Their legends had faded into myth, but traces of their knowledge still existed for those who knew where to look.

Though dismissed by the modern world as fairy tales, whispers of these ancient powers persisted. Theories spread, connecting the dots between these long-lost abilities and the strange occurrences happening across the globe in recent years. What if the old tales were true? What if humanity had once wielded far greater strength, and that knowledge was simply buried, hidden beneath layers of time and deception?

No scientific evidence had ever been found to confirm the existence of the Ancients, but there was something… else. Xi knew this. There were signs, strange occurrences, and artifacts unearthed from ancient ruins that glowed faintly with energy beyond understanding. Some people, just like him, had felt the pull of this ancient power, a force they couldn't explain but which called out to them, as if from the earth itself. And recently, some had begun to tap into that power.

Now, rumors swirled that Area 51 held not just an alien ship, but something far older. Something that connected all these pieces—the alien technology, the ancient powers, and the true history of humankind.

The crowd around him was restless. Thousands of people had come from all corners of the world, some alone, others in groups. Some were ordinary thrill-seekers, believing they could storm the military base and see what the government had been hiding for decades. But Xi knew better. Among these crowds were more than just curious strangers—there were powerful people hidden in plain sight.

As the night deepened, he observed the subtle clues. A man standing nearby, dressed in a leather jacket, had his hands loosely gripping the hilt of a sheathed sword—a katana, ancient and well-worn, yet gleaming as if it had just been forged. The man wasn't just skilled in martial arts. He carried an aura of cold, untapped power. Another woman, standing several feet away, seemed ordinary at first glance—until she flicked her wrist ever so slightly, and the dust on the ground shifted unnaturally around her, like an invisible force danced at her command.

These were the *Hidden*. Powerful individuals with abilities beyond human understanding, masked by secrecy and ancient pacts. They were part of a shadow world the public was never meant to know about. But here, in the chaos surrounding Area 51, they had come out of hiding, drawn by the same rumor Xi had heard: an alien ship, or perhaps a whole base, deep inside the facility. A relic that could change everything—or unlock something even more dangerous.

The crowd was growing more impatient. It was almost time. Xi tightened his hood, making sure his identity was concealed. He wasn't here to make alliances. He was here to get inside and find out the truth for himself. His hands itched as the familiar energy within him stirred, ready to be called upon if needed. He had spent years perfecting his own powers, and tonight, he might have to use them.

Suddenly, the signal came.

A flare shot into the sky, casting an eerie red glow over the desert, and like a dam breaking, the crowd surged forward. Thousands of feet pounded the ground, rushing toward the heavily guarded gates of Area 51. Soldiers moved in quickly, but Xi knew they were nothing compared to what was about to happen. He darted forward, moving with the crowd, but keeping his distance from the larger groups.

As they neared the gates, chaos erupted. Some of the crowd broke off, trying to climb the fences. Soldiers shouted commands, warning them to stop. But the Hidden among them had other plans.

The man with the katana was the first to act. With a swift motion, he drew his blade, and the air around him seemed to shimmer with energy. In a flash, he cut through the air, and the chain-link fence crumbled as if it had been slashed by an invisible force. Those around him gasped in shock, but he didn't stop. He moved like a whirlwind, cutting down soldiers who dared to get too close.

On the other side of the crowd, the woman Xi had noticed earlier raised her hands, and a gust of wind, unnatural and fierce, blew the soldiers off their feet. Lightning crackled in her palms as she advanced, leaving a path of destruction in her wake. Others, previously hidden, revealed their powers as well. Fire erupted from one man's fists, while another seemed to bend the shadows themselves, disappearing and reappearing behind guards before they even realized what was happening.

He slipped through the chaos, avoiding direct confrontation. He didn't need to fight. He had a different goal in mind. As the battle raged on, he made his way to a side entrance, where a heavily armored door stood, untouched by the chaos outside.

Placing his hand on the cold steel, he closed his eyes for a brief moment. A faint blue glow emanated from his palm, and the door creaked open. He smirked to himself. "Sometimes, the old tricks worked best."

Inside, the air was cool and sterile. Fluorescent lights flickered overhead, casting harsh shadows on the metal walls. Xi moved quickly, navigating the labyrinthine corridors with ease. He had studied the layout of the base for months, memorizing every turn and security checkpoint.

As he descended deeper into the facility, the feeling of unease grew stronger. Something was here—something ancient, something powerful. He could feel it pulsing through the walls, calling to him.

Finally, he reached a massive chamber, and at the center of it stood the object of his search: a massive, silver ship, its surface smooth and reflective, yet marked with symbols and runes unlike anything he had ever seen before. It hummed with energy, a sound that resonated deep within him.

But he wasn't alone.

A figure stepped out from the shadows, tall and imposing, dressed in sleek black armor. His face was hidden behind a mask, but Xi recognized him instantly. This was one of the *Elders*, the powerful individuals who had ruled the Hidden world from behind the scenes for centuries. Rumor had it that they, too, had tapped into the powers of the Ancients, and had used them to extend their lives far beyond what was normal.

"So, you've come," the Elder said, his voice low and menacing. "You think you can claim this power for yourself?"

Xi said nothing. His eyes were locked on the ship, his mind racing with possibilities. This wasn't just alien technology. This was something more—something that could change the balance of power in the world, something tied to the ancient powers that once ruled the earth.

The Elder raised his hand, and dark energy crackled around him. "You're a fool to think you can control it. But I will enjoy watching you try."

With a swift motion, the Elder sent a wave of dark magic hurtling toward him. But Xi was ready. He drew upon his own power, summoning a shield of blue energy that deflected the attack.

The chamber shook as the two clashed, their powers colliding in a dazzling display of magic and raw energy. But Xi knew he couldn't waste time. He had to get to the ship, to unlock its secrets before the Elder could stop him.

With a burst of speed, he dashed toward the ship, his heart pounding in his chest. The Elder roared in fury, sending another blast of energy toward him. But Xi was faster, slipping past the attack and reaching the ship's surface.

Placing his hand on the cold metal, the ship responded, its surface lighting up with symbols and runes. The hum grew louder, and he felt a surge of energy coursing through him. The ship was alive, and it had chosen him.

The Elder let out a final, enraged scream as the ship activated, and in a blinding flash of light, Xi was gone—vanished into the unknown, leaving behind the chaos and destruction of the Hidden war.
