"Mu Shaochen?"
Qin Wan noticed something off about Mu Shaochen.
She frowned slightly, her gaze moving away from his fingers that seemed almost about to crush the cup, pale with tension.
Her face tilted slightly as she looked at his frosty, handsome features.
She waited a few seconds, but Mu Shaochen didn't respond to her.
For some reason, Qin Wan was reminded of something Grandma Mu had told her before, that after Mu Shaochen was kidnapped and returned as a child, he had seen a doctor for a while.
Her heart sank slightly.
She softened her voice and called out again, "Mu Shaochen?"
Mu Shaochen seemed to be controlling his emotions, but Qin Wan still extended her hand, worried.
Gently, she covered his hand that was gripping the cup.
Perhaps it was the warmth of her palm that brought Mu Shaochen back to himself; his eyes suddenly lifted and looked towards her.
Eyes met.
Qin Wan's heart shuddered.
