A grimy and disheveled group of Ji soldiers was fleeing across the mountains.
They were originally the garrison troops at Dingnan Pass, living comfortably behind the towering defensive walls. Even with the presence of scattered rebel armies beyond the border, they had not been alarmed.
Everyone knew that the rebel forces were nothing but a ragtag army, and even the main rebel force once led by Lu Jiande had been defeated in front of this mighty pass.
Dingnan Pass was considered an unassailable fortress in Ji Country, originally built to guard against the southern mountain people, and it had never fallen in hundreds of years.
The mountain people could not breach Dingnan Pass, and so the garrison believed no one else could either.
But then today they suddenly faced a strange and unexpected attack. The incoming magic artifacts were incredibly fast and powerful, so much so that even the General Dharmas could not lock onto them, only watching helplessly as they fell.
