Recently, Nia started pulling the curtains more often and slightly reduced the number of times she took Liam to the park, but she always felt like someone was watching her. Though she wasn't as professional as Jimmy, she knew a bit about surveillance rules, and after checking around the house, she found no monitoring equipment.
This feeling of being watched was horrible; ordinarily, she would've contacted Kevin. While the NYPD technicians weren't the best, they could find surveillance devices. The issue was that Jimmy and the others were supposed to return soon, and without a confirmed time, if they arrived when someone else was home, that would be a problem.
The best approach now was to protect herself. So, even at home, Nia kept a Glock for self-defense. She did this until she received a call from Jimmy. Jimmy had left an anonymous phone in the basement to ensure no unexpected situations when he returned and needed to contact her first.
