The wind on the city wall was strong, carrying a chill with it.
Sheng Ning'an instinctively pulled her coat tighter around her.
The next second, she felt a warmth on her back and saw Xu Weiran unbutton his coat to wrap her completely in his embrace.
"Are you cold?" Xu Weiran asked, looking down.
"Not cold!" Sheng Ning'an nestled in his arms, shaking her head.
However, she still didn't quite understand the purpose of being brought here in the dead of night.
Could it simply be to let her feel the wind and see the night view?
Meeting her puzzled gaze, Xu Weiran chuckled lightly and said, "Just wait a little longer!"
Just as Sheng Ning'an was about to ask what they were waiting for, she heard a "bang——", and suddenly numerous fireworks exploded overhead, illuminating the entire night sky.
"It's started!" Xu Weiran's voice softly resounded by her ear.
Sheng Ning'an looked up, her eyes filled with fireworks brighter than stars.
