In the crew, Qiu Zhenze only filmed short scenes, like the one in a tavern in Nine Building Lane where he peered out of the window at the scene below. Later in post-production, the director would edit the scene to show Princess Yu Yun picking out items.
Apart from the tavern, Qiu Zhenze also shot in other places such as street corners and alleys. All he needed to do was make an expression, or casually drink from a jug of wine in hand, and the scenes would be complete.
As Qiu Zhenze was a professional actor himself, these short, fragmented scenes were no pressure for him, so he almost always got it in one take.
Half an hour later, He Jinxia changed into women's clothing and put on makeup, stepping onto the set once again. This time her overall appearance became much more eye-catching. The only thing was that she still had two fake mustaches under her nose, which looked rather comical.
