Early the next morning, to catch the tide, Jiang Jiu got up at the crack of dawn.
Jiang Yi and Lu Junhao came downstairs yawning, clearly having stayed up late and not slept well.
Sea foraging requires an early start. Jiang Jiu, with a little bucket in hand, followed the locals, watched them dig for shells and search for sea cucumbers, and thought it seemed quite simple. But when she gave it a try, she couldn't spot anything.
Bai Yiran, however, found a big crab with impressive pincers; she didn't dare to catch it, and it was Zheng Yunhao who came to the rescue.
Jiang Jiu gave up on those and focused on searching the rocks for attached shells instead, and to her surprise, she found several large scallops and whelks. When she turned over a rock, she even found a little fish trapped beneath it.
In the end, Jiang Yi released it back into the sea.
