Lilith stepped out of the bathroom, fresh from her shower, her hair falling in soft waves down her back. She wore a simple white pyjama set–loose, airy, and so comfortable that even she felt a little softer in it. The fabric clung gently to her curves in just the right places, and her bare feet padded quietly across the floor.
Ray was already waiting, sitting cross-legged on their bed with that spark of excitement dancing in his eyes. The moment he saw her, his whole face lit up like he'd just been handed the world's greatest gift.
Without saying a word, he tugged at her hand, coaxing her down beside him. He buried his face into her stomach the moment she settled back against the pillows, letting out a happy, muffled sigh. His warm breath tickled her skin through the thin cotton of her pyjama top, and the feel of his hair brushing her belly made her fingertips twitch with affection.
