She smiled and asked, "Let's play a game.

For just a day, take a break from all these.
Pass this test, and I'll give you a warm kiss."
He giggled, "Okay, my lady, a challenge it is.
I'll ignore you, no matter how much I miss.
If that's what you want, I'll give it my best,"
Unaware it would be her last request.
With only a day to live, she wanted to smile,
Bidding farewell to her love, all worthwhile.
He returned the next day, to find her dead,
Weeping his heart out, standing by her bed.
Beside her body lay a folded sheet,
Her final words, so simple yet sweet:
